The graphics are [bad]. What a piece of garbage! Armada was far superior! I ended up unistalling this waste of money 10 minutes after installing it. Go with the original if you haven't played it, or Bridge Commander. Much better choices.
Bridge Commander, a game with so much potential

When I fist saw the pics of bridge commander I thought it looked fun, probrably more so than the other star trek games I've played like SFC III. I was wrong. It's a whole lot better than those could ever hope to be. Yeah, the story game is fun, but the real fun lies in quick battle. You go into it, though, and think where are all the ships. The fact is this game doesn't come with much but has a good basis. Since I first got this game I've gone many times to www.bcfiles.com and downloaded mods, ships, and other fun things for the game. Now the once empty bridge commander is full of all sorts of ships and other interesting things. So, if you want a fun game that's true to star trek and are willing to do a little work online to make it better, bridge commander is the game for you.
DO NOT BUY FROM VINDOR

now i have been playing star trek games since i can remeber and have always watched the SFC series grow in games and of course the first was a classic the second was a upgrade but they never got out of captain kirks era in the games wich was fine but i always thought how cool it would be to fly the current ships and SFC3 was born its perfect because its the events leading up to the newst movie star trek:nemisis and filled up to it nicely you now can even download a activision add-on that has a mission where you fly shinzon's scriminator the warship from the movie i think its great and well worth your money in so many ways....
A top notch Simulator

Yes, this game is good...no, it's great. The graphics: awesome. The sound: unsurpassed. The gameplay: unique, inovative and fun. Though I haven't tried the voice activated option, it seems like a good idea. The game can get difficult, especially when trying to manage your ship systems where-as trying to fight a battle. Try this game, or better yet, buy it.
Depends on how you look at it

Although this game has a number of features above and beyond Armada1 it also offers more instability even with the patch(at least on my machine). The warp speed feature is its best in my opinion and it allows for more ships to be built out of the box. However, when you take into consideration the extra mods that can be had on the net, this game fails by miles over Armada1. Sometimes more is not better. I would have prefered an Armada1 upgrade without more bugs.
Where are the Borg?

Ok. Its cool, all in all. But where are the Borg?
Also, it would be great if in quick battle mode you could warp to other planets and stars.
What about custom designing your own missions?
Common guys! Develop these for the expansion pack.
Good, but 'elite'?

This game's graphics and story line are much improved on the first entry, ST: Elite Force. It also adds some puzzle-solving tasks, which is a nice way to break up the action. If you liked the first game you are likely to enjoy this sequel, but don't expect anything new to the FPS genre.
Some issues:
The single-player game doesn't take long to complete - a day or so, if you're putting in solid hours. This may not be much of a concern if you plan to play multi-player.
Second, and I know this is subjective, the designers (at Ritual) have given us very few holomatch maps from which to choose, and they all look like they came from Doom III. What happened to the space station maps of EF ver. 1?
