Surprisingly addictive

This game is pretty damn fun. Simply put, you're the Incredible Hulk, running, jumping, and smashing everything and anything that gets in your way. It's the first game that really captures what it must be like to be the Hulk, a giant green powerhouse that wreaks havoc wherever he goes.

Gameplay is easy to learn. And as you smash more stuff and go farther in the story, you earn more moves but also have to face tougher opponents, thus keeping things interesting. There's a storyline that basically involves various "HULK SMASH" missions with a little bit of strategy, too.

The coolest aspect to me is that the Hulk can actually fight his way out of trouble. When the military sends its highest forces after you, if you beat them, the alert level falls all the way back to zero. That's very unique and oh-so-satisfying.

Personally, I didn't care much for the side missions. They're generally silly and not all that exciting. Also, it kind of bothered me that Bruce Banner is trying to find a way to rid himself of the Hulk so that people will be safe, but doesn't mind unleashing the Hulk to try and find his cure. I know I'm overthinking it, but after flattening a few dozen innocent bystanders, I felt just a wee bit of guilty. But it's just a game, so it was just virtual guilt anyway.

So I say go ahead and Hulk out. Just let Banner deal with the guilty conscience.

This is a great game. I picked it up for 5 bucks and I would have paid a lot more. My 5 year old daughter loves playing this game with me. The controls are easy enough for a kid to learn. The violence isn't very realistic and she knows that it's just a game. She enjoys picking up the cows and throwing them as far as possible. They land on their feet and keep grazing. She also likes to pick people up and then she makes the Hulk put them back down and he pats them on their heads. We spent a few evenings working on finishing the game so we could play as the Abomination and Savage Banner. She has great fun with this game and I believe that it helps her get some angst out of her system. I would say that you should get this game. It's okay for kids because it isn't as realistic as some of the other violent games that I wouldn't let my daughter near. So don't be afraid of picking this up for yourself or your kids. It's a winner!

This game is awsome. You can feel the power of THE HULK via the game controler, the city is an open world just like GTA (Grand Theft Auto), but you play as the HULk and smash stuff! [...] ITS SOOOO WORTH THE MONEY! I FEEL LIKE BUYING ANOTHER ONE JUST TO HAVE IT. ALSO YOU DONT HAVE TO DO THE MISSIONS, you can roam around like GTA and the game has side games like races and lil games to test your power.

This game is amazing the freedom you have as the Hulk is unmatched by any super hero game so far. The villans are wonderful, the special moves are great and the story is fun. The game is also difficult I was not able to finish this game quickly there are some tricky parts. If you like to play, play this game.

I must admitt this game was tons more fun then the last. By Far one of the greatest games I've played in my entire life. Ok heres the deal. You play as the incredible Hulk, just the incredible Hulk, not Bruce Banner like the last one. By Far you can do anything. Take a tank by its shooter, then start spinning around and throw it almost 20 miles fowards. Take a Bus and make it into a shield. Take a Car rip it into two and make steel boxing gloves. Jump to anormous hights and crazy distentces. Run up the walls, and grab onto them. You can even destroy buildings.(but its a little tuff to do so.)
There are even diffrent codes to put in so you can be even more powerful and have diffrent kinds of outfits and skins. The Story line is pretty much based on the movie, actually scratch that its hardly based on the movie. But you are trying to find a cure for this Hulk, and try to save the world and your self from other evils. Emil Blonsky is played by Rob Pearlmen. You may also know him as HELL BOY. I haven't beated it yet but I am on the last level.
once you finish the game you can still continue with mission challanges, and free roam, where you can just be your Hulkish self and smash your way through the city.
You can pretty much do anything, run the speed of a race car, grab onto jets so that they crash. There are also these things called Hulk Busters which are part of the US's army. You as THE HULK have to save your self from the army's incredible arsenal. Then theres Critical Atomic moves, where the Hulk can smash something so hard it effects the whole entire area with thousands of explosions. Again i say one of the greatest games i've ever played, a must buy!!!!
Over all i Give it 5 stars *****

Well, let me preface by saying I disregarded the teen rating and bought it for a 5 year old, so shame on me. But my son is very well grounded in reality and can handle other teen rated games. However, I think this one is past his limit due to the following factor:

-there are no real goals except SMASH SMASH SMASH! You get points for everything from killing an innocent woman walking down the street to crushing a police car. Not a real good lesson for a 5 year old. Not a good scene to walk in on your kindergartner laughing his head off about crushing some folks on the sidewalk. Grand Theft, anyone?

Yeah, I feel kind of lame for saying it's not for kid's since the label clearly states "it's not for kids", but we all know the teen rating is sometimes overly cautious. In this case, I think it's correct. And the sad thing is, I don't think any teen is going to enjoy such basic gameplay for long.

This game is a big come back for the Incredible Hulk after that joke of a movie called "Hulk" which ruined its image for a while and the Incredible Hulk doesn't want to be remembered that way so that's why they made this kick ass video game filled with action pack thrill ride. Hulk can turn anything into a weapon to fight the army that is trying to kill him. He can climb buildings. I rate this game 100 out of 100.

When I first played this game on the demo disc I thought it was pretty good but when play and beat the full game it's a whole different experience. This game is pointless and pretty horrible in about every possible. I'm not sure why its highly rated by some people.

if you're looking for something innovative or interesting, this game definitely isn't where to go.. you're the hulk, and you have to pick up cars, run up buildings, throw stuff... ya know. it actually sounds a lot more fun than it is in practice, to me at least. i didn't feel any visceral joy in the process. it felt like just another typical run-of-the-mill mediocre PS2 action game to me, and this game really shows how far superior the XBOX's graphics are to PS2's. compare the graphics of ninja gaiden to this game.. there is simply no contest.
