This game is ok, but I can only give it 3.5 stars; the cards in it are not what are in the actual game. Kids are taught how to play a game, that is pretty good. It teaches you how to play. I'm ok with that. What I'm not ok with is that kids who play this game before the cards will rely on cards you can only get on the gameboy, not in the real game. Other than that, it's cool!
Whut I think :P

This game is pretty fun if you feel like playing the Pokémon card game while on a roadtrip or somewhere where whipping out a table or a surface is very convient. I feel the game runs a tad too slow though
Very good game. :-)

This is an exelent game for anyone who is a fan of the pokemon tcg or pokemon in general. There are a viriety of people you can duel with a viriety of difaculty levels. There isalso the chalenge of building a great deck and colecting all the cards. For maximum play, get a link cable and a friend to hook up with. You can duel, trade, and card pop!
A very fun game with a through-the-roof replay value!

This...game...is...GREAT! Even with Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire out in stores, I still spend lots of time trying to complete my Pokemon Card collection on the Game Boy. The game is very fun and will quickly turn newbies to the Pokemon TCG into experts. I'm a 12-year-old girl and a dedicated Pokemon fan, and I must say...Let your Ruby/Sapphire Pokemon take a little rest so you can pick up a copy of this awesome game. (Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire is an awesome game too ^.^) The basic storyline of this game is that you are a boy with the default name of Mark, who wants to inherit the four Legendary Pokemon Cards (special GB versions of Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres, and Dragonite). You can carry up to four (4) decks at a time, but you can save your valuable deck configurations in a Deck Save Machine. You must defeat the 8 Club Masters (as you do Gym Leaders) then defeat the four ultimate experts of the Pokemon TCG (as with the Elite Four). Although the only deck expansions included are Jungle, Fossil, and Base Set, this is all in all an excellent game. Wonder when the Ruby/Sapphire TCG version will come out for GBA?
A different yet great Pokemon game

Collecting, battling, customizing, trading, all these terms apply to the Pokemon game series, and it applys to this game as well. As a Pokemon Card Collector and battler, you can participate in numerous battles, collecting and constructing better decks along the way. The ability to earn new cards, construct decks anyway you see fit, easy learning curve, easy setup, and overall just a simple game layout constitute a great Pokemon game. Every element of the original games can be found in some way, shape, or form in this version. Aside from the substandard music, there's no true flaw to be found in this game.
Go pokemon!

Pokemon The Trading Card Game is excellent. It has some flaws but they can be overlooked. One reviewer before me said that this game was too easy. I highly disagree. The original red and blue version was an addictive challenging game, but once you get a strong line up, it's as easy as walkin, you cant lose. In this game hoever, you always have a chance of losing no matter how powerful your deck is. Any way, this is an excellent alternative to actually paying hundreds of dollars collecting the real cards. Hundreds may be an understatment so you parents out there, better buy this instead of paying a fortune for the real cards.

This is a game based exactly on the Wizards of the Coast game, with a few modifications. You are a kid who runs around trying to get the legendary pokemon cards(zapdos, articuno, moltres, and dragonite) While you create decks, up to 4, and battle for booster packs. Then you go to the clubs get the madalions from beating the masters. The last battles are the grand masters(fire,electric,water/ice,and dragon)hard battles. Also you can fight in the chalenge cup a 3 hard random oponents.

This game is really neat! You get to trade for Game Boy exclusive cards. You learn Pokémon Trading Card Game skills, plus it has an in-game tutor to help you learn how to play if you don't already know how. It also has very good deck suggestions...
