I dont get how a little fur ball running around with his friends could be fun. It has no point.I think that it would be a waste of money to buy.

This game (....) it is really bad and is only for little kids and not older kids. This game has poor graphics, bad sound, and the worse control ever!!!

Well I have'nt got the game, but I'm getting it for Christmas. It looks and sounds fun. I really want it and I'm a big fan of Hamtaro.. I like all the hams. Anyone who thinks is a baby game is wrong these people say it's not recominded for small children.
I'm not scared if people think I'm stupid for liking Hamtaro.

The reason most people won't play this game is because it's perceived to be a childs game. I'll concede that it's just dripping with cuteness, but it's backed up by a terrific game design that pulls you into a completly new world. The game is about trying to gather all your Ham-Ham (hamster) friends together for a special surprise, but in order to do that, you'll have to learn another language - Ham Chat. Through multiple choice menus you select words and talk with the inhabitans of the world. It's a great idea that easily be expanded into further adventures. And just imagine a game like this that teaches you Spanish, German or any other language!

Gamers aged 7 and up will be able to enjoy the game and finish it in about 15 hours. But even after the adventure is completed you can go back and collect any words you missed (you can finish the game with only 70 or so of the 85 words), collect all the items so you can play dress up with Hamtaro, and best of all collect all the songs and create your own dances to them. Each word has a movement attached to it and you can select which ones to use in the dances to create your own choreography. Even better you can trade dances with your friends with other Hamtaro players via the GBC infa-red port. You'll get your money's worth and have alot of fun too. What more can you ask? Goodgo!

A tootru spiffie game!

Although Hamtaro is considered a little kids type thing, this game is definitely not for 5-year-olds! I'm almost 13, and I had some trouble with it. My friend doesn't much like Hamtaro, but she was totally hooked on the game.

You've probably heard the plot. The character you play is Hamtaro. Boss is planning a surprise but he wants everyone back at the Ham-Ham Clubhouse. So you have to go and find everyone. But they're not just going to come back with you...you have to do something for them in order to get them to come back. And it gets harder and harder. You use Ham-Chat, the Ham-Ham language, to figure things out. But don't worry, learning Ham-Chat isn't like learning Spanish or Russian--you don't really have to memorize anything (though it would be helpful and it isn't hard). Boss gives you some words to start off with, and then you find more as you go along. There's always a handy Ham-Ham notebook available to you with the definitions of all of the words you've learned. The more words you know, the more you can do, and the more Ham-Hams you can find.

If you're tired of looking for Ham-Hams or you've found them all, there are other things you can do. You can buy clothes at stores and dress Hamtaro up, create a dance to music, or just search around and have fun.

If this game is so perfect, then why did I take away a star? Because I think the game gets kind of boring if I'm stuck on one particular thing or if I've mostly completed it. I also think the areas where Hamtaro can visit could've been a little more creative. It's still a lot of fun, though.

I definitely recommend this to kids and teens, though not kids too young. It's cute, the graphics translate really well onto the Gameboy, and it's challenging. Also, keep in mind that while it was made for Gameboy Color, it can still be played on Gameboy Advance.

Goodgo! Bye-Q!

This is pretty good :)

Considering that this game is based on a TV show, it is very well done. While it may not be the most complex game in the world, it is clever, different, and non-offensive. Just like the TV show it is intended for younger kids, but it hasn't been "dumbed down" so much that older players can't enjoy it too.

There are lots of things to collect, so you'll be kept busy.

Overall, it's a good buy!

i loved this game

i went out and bought a gameboy advance just so i could play this game. it was actually a bit more challenging than i thought. it was actually slightly challenging in the quest to find hams hams/stars/etc. then again, i love hamtaro so maybe this is why i enjoyed the game so much. the graphics are adorable but the music is something you'll be humming for a while, and not because it's great.
