E&B is one of the best MMORPG games I have ever played. The producers of done a great job with this game, especially with how they show the vastness of space. All of the classes are fun to play so you'll find something you like. Now don't make the mistake of thinking this is like Wing Commander. This is a role playing game which means your ability to hit a target is based on your skill and goes up as your character grows in power. The game is still growing, more and more content is being added. Just recently they started arena games. 6 ship teams going against other team in a free for all inside the arena. Great game. I haven't logged into EQ in two weeks since I started playing, and I love EQ.
this is a great game.

This isn't online Tie Fighter, Wingcommander I/II or any other space combat shooter.
This game is Tradewars 2002 + Wing Commander Privateer put in a pot, brought to boil and served to blow you away.

This game is a childish leveling treadmill. The graphics are alright but when you compare it to Eve they are nothing special. This is pretty much just an EQ clone, which isn't necesarily a bad thing, its just not good for a second gen. mmog. If you want a serious Space Combat MMOG with outstanding graphics, excellent gameplay, and more innovations than anyother mmog to date check out Eve. [...]

Although the graphics are incredible, the action is sparse and the travel time is sometimes excrutiating. I don't believe this will make it once Star Wars Galaxies enters the market.

I just can't see anything in this game that sets it apart from any other game. It's almost a carbon copy of Everquest only set in space. If you think you'll like it then go ahead but there are better games coming out in the same space MMOG category.

I've played many online games, and this one IS the BEST I have played yet. I'm currently beta testing it as well. The visual effects are amazing. There are also plenty of things to do in these galaxies as you work your way up in the skill of combat, exploration and trade. I also like that there are multiple roles you can play in this game. Even though this game will have a monthly fee associated with it, it is WELL worth it in my honest opinion.
A wonderful space adventure, like Escape Velocity, but mmo

I really enjoy this game, i'm currently a beta tester, and I started off as one race, they did a pwipe, and so I joined another class/race and I keep having more fun each time I change, they are all good! Its like Escape Velocity, only 3d and online, its awesome. It even runs on my lower-end game machine, albeit on the lowest settings, but even those look fantastic.

...I highly enjoyed the game, since there is always something to do. It does not matter if your exploring the systems for new resources to prospect, leading a group of traders on a major trade route to earth, or sneaking up on a ship as a cloaked jenguai defender to unload a array of lassers and other weapons on to it.
Play as a tradesman and make money left and right.
Be a enforcer and keeping the peace.
Explore as a sentinal and a explorer and map the way for others in your guild.
Be a defender and use stealth to take down big pray.
Master the beam weapons or use missles to take down pray at a distance.
Amazing

When i fisrt heard about this game i was not sure if buy ir or not, why? Well because since i live in Costa Rica and here the access to cable modem and good internet connection is limited, then i was thinking, "Hey i have a modem will it work?", so i decided to buy the game anyway, and guess what?
Well it works perfect with a simple modem, the grafics are amazing, I like the group missions where you have to ask assitence to some people and then go for the mission, you can trade, explore, fight , it is up to you.
I have one word for this game 'AMAZING'
A pleasure to play Good job Westwood

This game is a pleasure to play. The universe is very big and there are a vast amount of places to explore. You don't have to laser or missle your way around all the time. There is a good balance between trade combat and explore. If you get tired of combating take on some trade route jobs or explore jobs. You are also assigned missions to complete to advance in both overall level combat level trade level and exploreation level.
There is a guild system which is a nice feature this enables weaker players to group with stronger ones to finish missions and also fight baddies to combat lvl.
Even with the cost of 12 a month it should provide many months of playing for most people.
