I played for 20 min and i gave the game to my sis. Looked to me like a solid rpg but the music and the storyline is just for girls. Try ff7 or chrono cross instead.
Great Game, I wish it didn't have all the fat jokes...

If you are thinking about buying this game for a girl that has any self esteme issues about their weight, pick out another game!
I sure liked Rhapsody, finally an RPG that I can handle. I watch my friends play FF and other major RPGs and though I really like to watch, they always seemed just a bit more than I wanted to take on.
I'd love to rate this game higher, but I did have an issue with it. The only downside I saw (and the reason I am not giving this game 5 stars) was all the fat jokes. Since this is obviously aimed at female players, I could have done without the "no livestock please" message when the hero stepped on the scale and the comments about the hero being 5'4 and a "portly 100 pounds" (compared to the rival's slim 90 pounds).
Maybe fat jokes are still OK in Japan, but the last thing many girls need is a girl that is 20 pounds below the average weight for her height being called portly.

To tell you the truth, when I bought the game I thought I
was ripped off. It really wasn't chalengeing but the chartaters were all intresting and cute. The storyline was greatly unique but the attacks is what killed the game for me. To attack a powerful robot with PANCAKES! LOOK OUT! SHE'S GONNA RAISE YOUR COLESTROL! And to attack some enemies with candy seemed too
rediculous to be cute, unless all of Cornet's ememies were all diabetic. The whole game revoled around the storyline and the charaters which were done quite well, but one intresting element of a good RPG to my opinon is the attacking of the feinds. I do admit, the attacks were pretty funny but it kills the drama of the storyline. The best thing about this game is the free soundtrack that has a song or two that I like. The game was pretty enjoyable but it was too short and too easy.
can you destroy your enemies with pancakes?

My cousin and me found this game at Game Stop for about $40.00, and since it was an Atlus game by Nippon Ichi we decide to purchase it. my cousin finished the game first and he liked it,and I decided to try it. i was dissapointed. The gameplay was horrible! No matter what the game difficulty is the game is too easy! How easy? So easy that you can kill the boss in a couple of turns. Also, what I want to know is why have do the battles have to be like the tactic games? I'm talking about moving on panels and stuff, especially in this game when you don't have to move that much at all. exploring dungeons are very tiresome. the story is ok since it is about a girl saving a guy istead of the other way around, artwork is good too, but htis game will never be on the same level as disgaea, phantom brave, makai kingdom, and la pucelle tactics. I you're into tactics games and haven't tried any of those 4 If recommend you try them since they're way better than this game.

Most roleplaying games are either Sword and sorcery ala AD&D, Final Fantasy style games or Buxom women bursting out of their clothing as they brutalize their monsterous opponents.
Rhapsody gives us something new. An RPG more based in comedy and song. Now comedy RPG's aren't new (Thousand Arms), and neither are Song filled RPGS (Lunar: SSSC). Rhapsody however combines the best of both worlds and creates a fun little game that kept me riveted with laughter andwell as suprised at myself that i was enjoying a storyline obviously geared for teenage girls (But there some subtle sexual comments.)
The battle system is easy to learn and none of the battles ever present a real challenge, but that's common and almost a trademark of Atlus games. Anyone should be able to learn the system in under 15 minutes.
So overall, Rhapsody is a must buy for those of you looking for a unique role playing game that will make you laugh and probably scare your parents that you have J-Pop coming from the Tv speakers. If you're looking for an RPG with blood, gore, scary monster, and items like "Superdeathimoblizer Sword," then try one of the other role playing games easily lost in the shadows.

I think the game has cute characters and a good story line, but it was super easy to beat. It was almost too easy. The songs are okay, but they could have done better. I really only like this game because of the story line. It has nice anime-style art though.

i saw rhapsody when browsing through a local store and i picked it up because i hadn't seen it before. i read the back and was like WOW! this must be a girls RPG! Thats so cool! so i immediatly bought it. i was just a little surprised when i started playing it though. first, i had thought that it was two disks long, when in fact one of the disks was a soundtrack, which only had the english versions of the songs on them. and the game only took about 10 hours to beat. i found that the plot was pretty predictable, while amusing and cute, it probably wouldn't appeal to boys of any age. The battle system also got annoying and required too many steps, and the dungeons were monotonous. The background music was nice, but the singing left something to be desired. some of the voice actors were okay, but many of them well... weren't, the songs themselves were usually pretty annoying and sappy sweet, but i do like the pirate song. i have no desire to listen to the soundtrack that came with this game. the character and background designs were cute. i would recommend this game to a girl, who wants to get into RPGs or already likes them, but this was no normal RPG.
Left something out.

First of all, the game is very good. The graphics are good and it's pretty easy. I was able to beat this game in about two days. The character design is beautiful and the the songs are eargasmic (an orgasm, but for the ears). What dissapointed me was the fact that they DID NOT add Japanese Tracks to the soundtrack added to the game. They only left the Japanese tracks in the game, not the sound track. I would have given this game five stars if they did, but they just left the sound track in English.

This game is like 70% cute, 20% korney, and 10% cool. I certainly love anime and video games, and when they are thrown together, I'm just insane over them. This game has detailed graphics and perky, but not annoying, music. Sometimes it can get a mite boring, but overall Cornet's adventure is full of danger and enjoyment. There is almost always something to do. The characters are adorable and they never seem to stop being the best. Good game, but they should really make a guide book.

Well I played this game a long time ago. I thought it was pretty cute. ^^ The romance was adorable.
Especially when you start out as Cornet, a young girl whose mother had died when she was a toddler. And her fairy like friend, Kururu. She falls in love with the prince, then he gets kidnapped by the evil witch Marjoly and her evil Lackies.
And its a musical type of thing. A game recommended for all you people who love cute theme romance games ^^
