NFS: Carbon~A fun game!

I bought this game for my hubby, but I enjoy it as well. It has lots of great cars, including my favorie classic muscle car, the Chevelle SS. There's plenty of achievements to earn that will keep you busy & interested. I've heard about people having problems with this game malfunctioning, but so far ours has worked fine.

I bought this game, because I previously had it on the XBOX console, so I proceeded to buy this for the 360 console, and it looks way better, really love it.

Love It...

i love the open-endedness of choosing a car, customizing it the way you like it and just driving around a realistic city, down city streets, across highways...this is one of those games you can just pick up and drive without worrying about the storyline. the graphics are EXCELLENT, the driving is realistic...the music fits in with the mood of the city...you can customize your car IN SO MANY WAYSSS...everything about this game is just Perfect....especially for those of us who are Casual car gamers...and dont want to be bothered with gruesome and overly challenging point A to B races. racers come up to you and challenge you in the street and you can just race them for money to buy newer cars.

i personally Love that the game only takes 8 hours to beat and its not insanely difficult and Long. its always odd to me to hear people complain about a game being easy..but when its hard, they complain about that too...or when its too long, they get mad about it. stop complaining and just enjoy the game for what it is: a casual and cool driving experience.

i personally didnt like Most Wanted at all...but i also recommend NFS:UG2 for the original xbox. Carbon is a definate recomendation...and the Best game in the series. Thank You EA Sports.

iLL .

I've played all the NFS games and this one is ok. I liked Most wanted better but I don't regret purchasing Carbon, I really miss the intricate tuning of NFSU2. I like the team concept applied. Buy this game if you like the NFSU2, Most Wanted. Why not? You've already come as far as reading reviews about the gane. Just buy it and you can write your own review! I'm not going to ramble on about my personal opinion or preferences.

This game is very addicting. By winning races, you take control of the city one block at a time. Customizing your dream car is only part of the fun, there are endless possibilities. This is a must have for racing fans. Perfect gift for the holidays.

I wish the Fast and the Furious had never happened.

The racing aspect of the game was fun, but the story was absolutely horrible. It was the lamest thing I have ever seen. The cars were great (especially the Challenger), and the driving was close to realistic. It's an overall fun game. If you like racing games and modifying some cool cars, then this is a great buy.

Not the best of the NFS lineup...

There are few other games that have the ability to make me as angry as this game.

1. The graphics are fairly decent but very jumpy. The FPS really suck when you are doing the canyon races, especially the drifts, almost to the point of making them impossible to complete perfectly.

2. The game play is somewhat reminiscent of MW and NFS Underground 2, but never quite meets their standards of greatness.

3. The in game physics are, again, a problem as EA has completely ignored the complaints of so many fans and continued to make the cops more powerful than Sherman tanks, while maintaining the lightning fast speed of an F1 race car. Also, the cops abilities to spawn anywhere they please is a little hokey. In addition the invisible walls still continue to be a hassle like in MW.

4. Lastly, EA has this problem of making racing games with auto catchup on computer cars. Add this to the fact that it is almost impossible to open new faster cars in this game and you have the impossible to win races of Carbon. And I breezed through MW, Pursuit 2 and Underground 2.

- The fact is, this game wouldn't be worth the plastic and foil it was burned into if it didn't have a pretty extensive and fun set of non career accomplishments that allowed you to open new parts and cars without having you territory "attacked" every 5 seconds. I've played the game for maybe 25 - 30 hours and probably won't ever play it again. As a matter of fact, I'm restarting my career on MW just so I can forget Carbon.

Ok for a racing game

I have played better .. i have played worse. The car models are sweet and the racing is kinda fun, but I finished the game in like 2 nights. A good rental, but dont bother buying it.

Ok, I have always loved the need for speed games. This one is no different when it comes to the driving and competitive racing. Although... This game has been really pissing me off.

First of all, what is up with only being able to garage 6 cars? I like variety damn it! Second, my Xbox 360 has serious connectivity issues due to a worthless microsoft wireless networking adaptor. This said the game has a really, really annoying habit of forcing you to try to connect to Xbox live about 5 times before it will fail out and let you play the game locally. If you are playing and it trys to connect for any reason (like a online quickstart game) when your system is offline and cannot connect, you are screwed. It will reboot the console and you will lose all of your game play. I lost 3 hours worth of gaming because the damn game decided it wanted to connect to Live. So do yourself a favor if you have connectivity issues. Dont buy this game unless you want to feel like throwing your console out a window.
