Can you help me?

I found the "Adventure" feature of this game simply irresistable and I took a total of about 12 hours to defeat all of the levels. It honestly was an enjoyable adventure. I saved my files and can insert them into the program files for this program, if it is installed on any computer, to allow going to any level, but I am frustrated that I cannot figure out how I managed to beat the Chapter 7 Dragons Land "Memorial to the Eagles" quiz where you have to re construct the position as it would have been 2 moves earlier. But I do remember that it took me a lot of time to crack the riddle. If anyone can tell me just that one answer I will return the favor by emailing them the programs files that I have which work like a cheat key to go to any level. There are no cheat codes available that I know of, I checked.

Thanks, Gary

Very Good for beginners rated 800-1350, and from about 8-10 years of age to adults. Excellent graphics and a series of training exercises guised in an eight-staged adventure game. Very nice bargain. When will they produce a Majestic Chess II ?

After reading good reviews, I purchased this cd. What I expected was great, clean, and quality fun product. But this has just fancy background and graphics, and takes 100% cpu usage on my computer (windows xp) and we both computer engieers and chess lovers and our son 6yr old are dissappointed with the purchase.

Satisifed

Best Chess Game I've ever played

The adventure mode in this game teachers even a non-player the basics and in a new and exciting way that will keep people addicted. After finishing a few levels one is well above an amatuer player and the game is really FUN! It's hard to say that about chess unless one is really into it, and playing computers at chess is not great. This also has online playing and the levels get progressively harder. I highly reccomend this for $10 to anyone who wants a challenge that keeps you coming back for more.

Wonderful for all generations!

This is the greatest chess program! The chess adventure is like nothing else out there. My 5 year old, 7 year old and husband love it! My 5 year old can pass the first 2 levels by himself, and the 7 year old can pass the first 3 levels. They seem pretty satisfied by that. Last summer my husband and father spent our whole week at the beach passing the entire adventure. So it's fun for all ages!

This chess game is good for younger people.

I have played this game for several hours total, now, and I think it would be good for later elementary school, or Jr. High kids. But as a person in my late 20s, I found it a little difficult to use. The story went from basic moves to advanced ones, it seemed. I can't imagine going through all eight boards in story mode. I can't even pass the second one. This is certainly a title to find out about, but if you're an adult, you'll probably want to go with an alternative like Chessmaster, 10th edition (which I prefer to this).

Cool Game

Was a christmas gift for my nephew that he asked for...he seems to love it! Besides that, amazon is great.

Great chess training without opening a book.

Majestic Chess begins innocently enough as a medieval adventure. It progresses through chess theory tutorials, tactical problems, middlegame positions and endgame puzzles, going from plain beginner's moves, strategy and tactics on to intermediate and even advanced material.

Majestic Chess is marketed to a wide audience, including adults, with the bottom recquiring at least 2-3rd grader reading skills. My kids, 7 and 5, enjoy the game's graphics, the storyline and ethereal musical background, though the text does require some assistance from daddy because a good portion of the sometimes obscure vocabulary caters to a quasi-D&D crowd and is interspersed with humor. I enjoy its puzzles, the variety of challenges and the middle- and endgame positions found scattered around the adventures.

At $9.99, this is a steal. It complements other chess programs by making chess fun (again!) in a most instructive package.
