Ugh. I'm so upset I got this game. I was more influenced by the good reviews, and bought it anyway. WASTE. OF. MONEY. For starters, if it was enough annoyance in it's self to be constantly taking care of YOURSELF, but also your PARTNER. They become hungry and thirsty REALLY fast. Plus the controls don't respond well on my DS. You're always having to keep the fire going, and looking freakin' everywhere to keep making new tools! (After I was using my fish spear for a while, it didn't appear on the item screen anymore...) No fun at all! Don't make the same mistake I did! You'll be sorry!
Ok, if you like tedious boring stuff.

I got this game expecting an open ended style game. But there really is just one way to succeed. It was difficult at first to find the balance you need to survive but it wasn't fun enough to stick it out. The actual game play is clunky and the graphics are poor.
Very Tedious and Depressing

This game simply is boring and almost sad. I like the idea of the whole survival aspect but all you really end up doing is constantly looking for food (which the characters don't like), resting (really fun...), stopping for water, and trying to figure out why you bought this game. It can be sad in the respect that your characters always seem to be slowly dieing and all you can do is find random food items, cook and eat them ( doesn't help them much), and then going out to get more food items. It is very repetitive and even depressing to some people, especially younger children, my sister hated it! Overall a good idea but very repetitive and boring. Lost In Blue 2
Frusterating, yet fun game

This game is frusterating. It's hard to take care of both people, especially when their hunger, thirst, and tiredness drop every few seconds. Although frusterating, this game is addictive and fun. I do recommend this to anyone who is patient, or otherwise really great at surviving games. It's not a waste of money!

The game is interesting, but tedious. You have to maintain the health of yourself and your partner. This makes it difficult to explore easily, and is frustrating.
Great game for newcomers, not so great for those who have played the original

Overall, LiB2 is the same as LiB, but with a few minor changes. For those who are new to these games, LiB2 is definitely a good purchase, as it has a lot of DS interactivity and is very challenging and fun to play. One complain however, would be how the two main characters must be the hungriest, thirstiest, weakest people on the planet. Normally, a person can go a few days without food with some water, but in this game, your character will barely last 6 hours without food before he/she starts complaining again.
As for people who played the original, I would not suggest it unless you REALLY love the game. It's fun and all, but there's relatively no change at all, making it seem exactly like the original except with a few additions, such as tigers, wolves, playing as both a boy and a girl, etc. Beyond that though, not much. Even the characters look the same and sound effects are recycled, making it very annoying for one who played the first game.
Still, the reason I gave it 3 stars is because I played the original so it's not that great to me, however, if you're new to these types of games, I'd give it 4/5 in both fun and overal score and definitely a worthy purchase. The game lasts a while, so if you really like these kinda sim games, that's another reason for buying this game.

There are many games in the world that most gamers would care less of there was a tutorial. Most of the time, you don't need one...but "Lost in Blue 2" was a different story. Learning to play "Lost in Blue 2" at first was a frustrating experience. No one tells you what to do besides how to run, pick up things and so forth, but once you pick up on it, the game becomes addicting.
The game takes you through a day-to-day adventure. It's a simulation game. What's cool about it is that it uses almost every feature that is available on the Nintendo DS system. For example, you blow into the mic in order to make a fire and so forth, and you poke the touch screen to sphere fish.
If you can stand to sit there and repeat the same thing over and over again for hours on end, this game is for you. You pretty much do the same thing every day and depending on what your status is in the game, you will be able to explore the island more and learn how to escape. But the fun never stops because there's so much to do within a day (it's almost impossible to do them all in a day).
So if you're a mini-game person, don't mind repeating the same thing, and love interaction this game is a definite go.

If you like the daily chores and gradual increase in complexity of Harvest Moon, you will like this game. Compared to the first Lost in Blue: the story line is less compelling, and you do spend a lot of time at first just staying alive. After you discover the first few tools, it gets much easier. On the plus side, the mini-game to build furniture is much less frustrating than it was in the first game, so you can get the furniture and shelves more easily. I find this kind of game addictive, and I have enjoyed it very much.
One word; REPETETIVE

This game is really really really really repetetive. It's fun for the first hour and a half, but then it just gets boring and repetetive. And whoever made this game must have not done any research before making this game for these reasons;
1) Wolves don't attack humans unless they are starving or threatend.
2) Tigers don't attack humans unless they are sick, starving, or threatend.
And I can't believe you have to eat wolves! That just disturbs me. The makers of this game must really hate animals, and think that wolves and tigers are bloodthirsty beasts that attack when they feel like it. I hope the first Lost in Blue is better and doesn't give people the wrong idea about wolves and tigers.
I hope you don't have anything important to do!

This is a great game that you don't want to put down. It is a bit discouraging in the beginning but very exciting when you learn something new or have a new experience. My 8 and 10 year-olds love it too.
