One word; REPETETIVE

This game is really really really really repetetive. It's fun for the first hour and a half, but then it just gets boring and repetetive. And whoever made this game must have not done any research before making this game for these reasons;
1) Wolves don't attack humans unless they are starving or threatend.
2) Tigers don't attack humans unless they are sick, starving, or threatend.
And I can't believe you have to eat wolves! That just disturbs me. The makers of this game must really hate animals, and think that wolves and tigers are bloodthirsty beasts that attack when they feel like it. I hope the first Lost in Blue is better and doesn't give people the wrong idea about wolves and tigers.

This game is so fun! I was looking for the first Lost in Blue in Gamestop, but they didn't have it so I got this instead. In this game you can choose betweeen Jack and Amy. Well it doesn't matter who you pick, your partner (The person you didn't pick) will just sit around and pretty much do nothing except put twigs in the fire and complain. For the first few days, it's almost impossible to keep your hunger meter up. I accidently poisened my characters twice (Oops) but it didn't kill them. The only thing that is truly frustrating is cooking and making a fire. If you like games that are really fun and not annoying (Except when your partner starts saying every five seconds "I'm hungry can we eat? I'm thirsty! Let's sleep I'm tired!") then you should buy this game.

great balanced game

This is a great, engrossing game that you can spend hours and hours on. The beginning of the game is a little bit difficult, because vegetables are not very filling so it can be a challenge to keep your character's stats up. I would recommend reading a walk through online to help you through this first part, because it is challenge and can be frustrating. However, once you get through the basics, this game is very fun. It's basically played on two levels (figuratively). The first is the macro level, where you have to keep the stats of your two main characters up. This requires strategy and management. The second level is the micro level, and involves fun activities like fishing, hunting, and cooking. I find the cooking especially fun, since you can collect herbs and seeds to flavor your food, cut the food in certain ways, and grill it. You use the stylus to cut the food, and it's a little like Cooking Mama, except a little simpler and, in my opinion, more gratifying.

Overall, this is a great game if you can stick with it and get through the beginning.

Harvest Moon on a Desert Island

If you like the daily chores and gradual increase in complexity of Harvest Moon, you will like this game. Compared to the first Lost in Blue: the story line is less compelling, and you do spend a lot of time at first just staying alive. After you discover the first few tools, it gets much easier. On the plus side, the mini-game to build furniture is much less frustrating than it was in the first game, so you can get the furniture and shelves more easily. I find this kind of game addictive, and I have enjoyed it very much.

Big Disappointment

Ugh. I'm so upset I got this game. I was more influenced by the good reviews, and bought it anyway. WASTE. OF. MONEY. For starters, if it was enough annoyance in it's self to be constantly taking care of YOURSELF, but also your PARTNER. They become hungry and thirsty REALLY fast. Plus the controls don't respond well on my DS. You're always having to keep the fire going, and looking freakin' everywhere to keep making new tools! (After I was using my fish spear for a while, it didn't appear on the item screen anymore...) No fun at all! Don't make the same mistake I did! You'll be sorry!

Very addictive

At first I was frustrated with this game because I couldn't figure out exactly what I was supposed to do and how to do it. But I never once thought of putting it down. It was too much fun, even when I wasn't doing well. Once I started putting things together and progressing in the game, it became somewhat of a obsession. That's how much fun it is!
The premise is that you are a castaway stranded on an island after your cruise ship goes down. The only other survivor seems to be another passenger. You can play as either boy or girl and the other character will be your opposite. At first you just have to find a place to rest and stay warm. Then you have to find something to eat and drink. Next thing you know, you're adventuring into the forest, building furniture, killing alligators en wot. All in a quest to escape from the island.
Lost in Blue 2 offers some great game play. There were a few things that were difficult to figure out because the instruction booklet isn't very in depth. But other than that, this is a fantastic game. The stylus let's you do things that you normally wouldn't really enjoy doing in games. Every small task within the story is a minigame. Cooking, starting a fire, fishing, etc. The music is good, but not really memorable. The graphics are appealing and in cut scenes quite nice actually.
Overall, a great game.

Very Tedious and Depressing

This game simply is boring and almost sad. I like the idea of the whole survival aspect but all you really end up doing is constantly looking for food (which the characters don't like), resting (really fun...), stopping for water, and trying to figure out why you bought this game. It can be sad in the respect that your characters always seem to be slowly dieing and all you can do is find random food items, cook and eat them ( doesn't help them much), and then going out to get more food items. It is very repetitive and even depressing to some people, especially younger children, my sister hated it! Overall a good idea but very repetitive and boring. Lost In Blue 2

As a fan of games like the Sims, this one is great. I spend HOURS every day on it and still there is so much game left. I haven't been able to complete it in a few days or a week like many other games. Some of the mini games are frustrating (like making fire, building), but I highly recommend this game. I have purchased many DS games and this one is the highest on my list!

Interactive Game

There are many games in the world that most gamers would care less of there was a tutorial. Most of the time, you don't need one...but "Lost in Blue 2" was a different story. Learning to play "Lost in Blue 2" at first was a frustrating experience. No one tells you what to do besides how to run, pick up things and so forth, but once you pick up on it, the game becomes addicting.

The game takes you through a day-to-day adventure. It's a simulation game. What's cool about it is that it uses almost every feature that is available on the Nintendo DS system. For example, you blow into the mic in order to make a fire and so forth, and you poke the touch screen to sphere fish.

If you can stand to sit there and repeat the same thing over and over again for hours on end, this game is for you. You pretty much do the same thing every day and depending on what your status is in the game, you will be able to explore the island more and learn how to escape. But the fun never stops because there's so much to do within a day (it's almost impossible to do them all in a day).

So if you're a mini-game person, don't mind repeating the same thing, and love interaction this game is a definite go.
