This is a good game for practicing (or beginning) online CounterStrike, if you are into that. You really can't call this a simulation by any means as the game play is frantic, with the your "bot" enemies jumping all over the place (too much caffeine I guess) You have to "buy" weapons and ammo at the start of each level or mission, which is a real pain as you only get a few seconds to do this. And speaking of time, you are on a timer to complete the missions, so no thinking at all here, just "run and gun". If you are looking for a simulation, go get Rainbow Six 3: Raven Shield instead, its a far superior game.

CAUTION: DONT BUY THIS GAME IF YOU DONT WANT TO BE ADDICTED FOR HOURS!! I cant put this friggin game down.
the own downside AT ALL i can see to the game, is its advanced programming to detect Emulation software. i couldnt play it until i uninstalled Alchohol 120. That kinda sucked, but it was worth it.

I was a huge CS fan, but this, to me, is way better. The graphics are an extreme step up. If you liked cs, you will love this. If you didnt, dont buy it.
If you havent played it, Buy it. I can almost guarentee youll like it.

Before I start my renting I have to admit, Counter Strike is THE game of all time.

What ever happened to the smooth code that ran a high end game on a crap PC on stone age transit? Condition Zero SP game in iteslf is ok and still getting emazed every time a AI bot sneakts up from behind with a gutting knife attack.

This game was originally created for Online gaming though. That perticular portion of the stack simply sucks in this version! Steam, if we pay let us play.

I like this game its fun but as old as soldier of fortune 2 is it still kicks this games ass by far

If u love multi play, this will keep u there for hours, PLUS this version has single player/co-op missions as well, CANT BEAT THAT :P

Strengths: Counter-Strike, one of the best games that has ever been made on PC, now just think of CZ alone.

Weaknesses: The delay that the producers put on the Counter-Strike, or any other action fans out there.

Summary: CZ is going to be a sweet game. A whole new gameplay has been added to make the game more exciting. First off, there is new characters and new weapons. These items will help make the gameplay more realistic than before. The graphics are much better than the original Counter-Strike. And thee is hope for those 56k users. There is now a campaign mode, no I'm not lying. The campaign mode is supposetly very realistic in it's actions, and there won't be as much lag as there usually is on Counter-Strike servers! This will not put stress on the cable/dsl/t1, etc users that complain about the gameplay. Overall, I'm thinking this is going to be one of the top games of 03'.

I loved this version of cs it goes smooth,with better models,and when you get bored you can play with bots it is worth the bit more you have to pay for it,get it now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is one of my most played games.

I play CS: CZ constantly and it never gets old. This continues the Counter-Strike series with better graphics, new maps, new scenarios, etc. Play offline in the Tour of Duty mode and fight against terrorists with intentions to destroy what's right. Or play online with thousands of other players!

I am a big fan of the multiplayer, you meet hundreds of new people, get better rather than playing against the computer. It's just a fun thing to do.

The newest thing in Condition Zero is the fact that you can make single player missions with bots. You can make them carry certain weapons, have higher or lower skill, etc. It's up to you.

Overall, a great game and must for any FPS fan.

this is the best game ever! buy it!grat online play and good graphics.dont listen to what other people say!it is ausome and plus you get counterstrike with it when you type in your CD key on steam you just have to download it!dont waste your money on CS when you can buy Cs CZ for 10 bucks more.

Condition Zero was a waste of valve's time. They are going to take the number one mod, and run it into the ground, after they realize that most people will try this game before they buy, and decide CS origional is still the way to go. Taking the multiplayer capabilities out of CS takes out about 1/2 the fun, because there are always people that are better than you, and you can shoot the breeze while you're waiting to respawn. CZ? Not more clans, no more voice chat, no more LAN parties, no more fun....
