A good game

this game is medocre compared to the games on ps2 but for playstation is good. the graphics aren't that bad until you see the Gundam and the Zaku 2's which are badly drawn. but all the other mobile suits are good. but the thing that bugs me the is your having to beat the game on hard mode with the [poorest] mobile suit. you have go against like 4 mobile armors and they expect you to defeat them all. but all around this game is okay if you like gundam or you don't you should get this game because its a fighting game and theres not many good ones out on the playstation system. also if you buy this game make sure you learn the techniques because it helps out.

first of all, you should know that this game is all about button-mashing. in fact, the mashing ability needed to play this game makes other button-mashing games seem easy. now, the basic terminology the giant robots in this game are called mobile suits. gundams are the popular humanoid mobile suits that this game focuses on. there are also various non-gundams in this game that are usually just as strong as gundams. next, game play. graphics are basically, two-dimensional trying to look three-dimensional but the lack of better graphics can be overlooked during battles. you may find it easy to unlock things at first, then tougher as you get better at it. oh and here is my tip (you must follow these instructions exactly or else my tips will not work) to unlock survival, time attack B and the psyc(h)o gundam mkIII (in that order), you must set street mode to hard and set the time limit to 99 seconds, then, win street mode with maxter, tallgeese III, master gundam, deathscythe, zaku IIS, (wing) zero custom, burning and rx-79 (in that order) then, play as the dark gundam in time attack B and beat every mobile suit in less than 3 seconds. in the end, it is a good game that will probably keep your interest for months. plus, I've been told it's much better than the original gundam battle assault.

The best Gundam game for PlayStation!

This is ultimately the greatest gundam game I have ever played. You can choose from about 30 of the most popular gundams from many of the tv series. There are way more modes than the first one, although I am dissapointed about the way you can only use certain gundams in story mode. Another drawback is that unlike the first one, the loser's gundam doesn't sort of fall apart after the match. (probalby because of the G Gundam fighters. Imagine having your arms and legs fall off!) Anyway, about the gameplay. This game has great graphics for a 2-D fighting game. Most of the gundams from the first game are in this one, exept for a few. (The-O, Hamma-Hamma, Z Gundam, Hydra Gundam, etc.) But all of the new ones can make up for that! The controls are very easy to understand, and if you really concentrate, then you can find that every gundam has the same combination for most moves. And there's finally a mode where you can duke it out on the computer! But of course there has to be a challenge! You try unlocking all of the secret mobile suits! (there's about 14) So I ask you, do you have what it takes to be the greatest Gundam pilot?

This game is the best gundam game for PS(yes,i have ps,not the new psx)anyway,i have unlocked everyone so far(i had really good practice,i beat GBA1)except for the 4 mobile armors(Psycho,Big Zam,Nue Ziel, and Dark Gundam)The graphics are 2d,which is cool, and the backround is 3D,which is cool 2...Master gundam, and Epyon,Hydra, and Full Armored ZZ Gundam are the gundams u dont wanna fight with against your friends, because they will then hate you for life(believe me,they will)The only thing i hate about it is that u can only thrust ur Verniers 3 times, which results in WAY less flight then in GBA1,and they got rid of Z gundam, and O gundam, not to mention Wing Gundam(they have Zero custom, but i liked Wing,he did a cool move were he went into bird mode, and knocked the other MS out)For those who said that Gundam "...[very very not nice]",he is my fav on the game, because 1:his special takes a WHOLE armor meter down!(if u stun the enemy, and quickley use special)i took out Biz Zam By doing it twice, along with one saber strick, and 2 punches!so...Suit up,or shut up(get this game)

This game is awsome! i didn't expect graphics to be as good as they are. you can play vs. another person if you have two controlers. you can play vs. the cpu. and you could play in street mode (story mode). this is a great game. in street mode you can use the following gundams (unless you unlock some more):
Wing zero custom(gundam wing),Deathcythe(gundam wing),Burning
gundam(g gundam;in the show they call it the shining gundam, but on the game it's called the burning gundam), Maxter(g gundam),gundam RP-78(somthing like that. mobil suit gundam). anyway this game is one of the best! if you're trying to decide if you should get it or not, get it! that's what i was deciding about, and i finally got it, and it's Great!

Gundam Fighting Game that out does any other.

Lets start with the graphics. For a playstation game, the graphics remain very well done, with moving backgrounds, and awesome sound quality. All the flaws of the previous Gundam Battle Assault have been corrected, with larger selection of suits, slightly better storylines, and expanding levels, allowing much more mobility then the old game. Levels are more interesting, as are the mobile suits. ((Tallgeese III, Yeah!)). Otherwise it retains the classic fighting game with robots, save that with hand drawn and painstakingly detailed designs, the suits move, and sound, like the ones all the mecha fans know so well. I reccomend it for those that like Gundam, or any mecha, as well as those who miss the classic side scroll fighting games with truly challenging button combos.

Ok this game is plain awsome!!! But I just want to say to the people who put in a review before me...
When they say burning gundom they mean burning gundom.
There is a difference. Notice Domon yells burning finge, not shineing finger.

While I enjoyed this title very much, I saw a few short commings in it...Mostly had to do with one or 2 Gundams I am highly familiar with, to have special attacks or special abilities I did not believe were appropriate for the suit...other than that it wasa a very fun game with a fair amount of replay value
