IT'S FINALLY HERE AND IT IS AWESOME!

I had a chance to preview this game and it is tons of fun! The character animations are fantastic and I love the fact that I can hit the General Lee's horn as I fly over ramps outrunnin' the law. I played Driver, but the Dukes of Hazzard is so much more fun I ain't goin' back. Great variety from mission to mission as you try to save the farm. I just know that Bo and Luke Duke never had as much fun as I did driving through the back roads of Hazzard County.

This game is simply amazing. A year ago when I first got my playstation and played a couple of racing games, I had the idea that it would be cool if there was a Dukes game, and when I found out there was I couldn't believe it. This game is a dream come true for a Dukes fan. It's so cool to blow the General's horn as you fly through the air. The graphics are awesome and the entire game is well done. It's like being in an actual episode of the tv show. The only flaw in the slaw on this game is that I wish they could have gotten John Schneider's voice for Bo. This game kicks all others in the rear. You will not be disappointed with this one.

A little more fun that the law should allow...

This is a fun, exciting game. It does a great job of combining a story with racing/driving and all that fun stuff. Fans of the old t.v. show will like the original character voices and vignettes between levels. One very minor complaint is the absence of Daisy Duke except for a few seconds in the opening theme song. Even so, I was totally excited for this game to come out and it didn't disappoint for one second.

Definitely a real hit-or-miss

There's no real middle-ground on this game; you either love it or you don't. The game plays fairly smooth, and the courses are well done, but the settings get repetitive real fast. Fans of the original show should get a kick out of it, but everybody else should try a rental before deciding whether or not to lay money out on this one.

My only real complaint is that there's no vehicle selection; I bought the game hoping I'd be able to play as Roscoe, Sheriff Little, or the infamous green machine. Anyway, buy or rent, this game is definitely one to try.

THIS NOTE IS FROM AN OLDER DUKES FAN ,WELL ACTUALLY, THE PRESIDENT OF THE CANADIAN DUKES OF HAZZARD FAN CLUB . I WAS REALLY HAPPY TO HEAR OF THE NEWS OF THIS GAME. FINALLY, A GAME THAT ALL AGES CAN PLAY AND UNDERSTAND. IT HAS A GREAT DEAL OF CREATION IN THE DESIGNING OF THE BACKGROUNDS , THE SOUNDS, THE VOICES OF COURSE AND THE CHOICE OF AUTOMOBILES THAT YOU CAN DRIVE . ALL IN ALL I WISH YOU COULD PUT THIS INTO A FLOOR MODEL TO HAVE AT YOUR LOCAL ARCADE. THIS IS FINE PIECE OF WORK THAT MANY CHILDREN , AND ADULTS ALIKE WILL ENJOY. THIS GAME SHOULD MAKE THE TOP TEN FOR THE YEAR 2000 , ESPECIALLY WITH THE NEW MOVIE COMING TO TV . I SAW AN ADVERTISEMENT FOR THE GAME ON THURSDAY NIGHT WRESTLING , I LOVED THE AD , ALMOST AS MUCH AS THE GAME ITSELF. WELL , KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK. THE DUKES RACING FOR HOME GAME IS A STRONG 10 IN OUR BOOKS.

Don't get me wrong, this game is a lot of fun, but in the end is completely disappointing. First complaint: WAY too easy. It took less than an hour to complete the entire thing. 26 levels take you back and forth over the same roads, doing the same thing over and over. For some reason there only seem to be about four roads in Hazzard. Second: the handling of the General leaves much to be desired. It's actually more fun in the other vehicles. Too much time is spent trying to keep the car on the road to enjoy the ride. Third: too cheesy. Yes, so is the show, but this is overkill. If I hear Luke ("Dang it, Bo") one more time, this game is done. Bottom line: this game is fun, but gets old quick, and doesn't make you want to replay it. I suggest passing on the purchase, and rent for an afternoon. That's all it's really good for.

This game rocks! I grew up watching the Dukes of Hazzard and played with the plastic toys throughout the 80's. This game brought back all those memories of using my coffee table as the General Lee. I could feel a tear rolling in when the intro started. Absolutely the greatest video game ever made. Period!

I Love This Game!

It's amazing how close this game is to the actual show! Some of the 2 player modes are a little cheesy but the 1 player adventure game is AWSOME!

I would like to go on record saying that this game is alot of fun. I've shown this game to all my friends and they really don't like the T.V. show that well, but got interested just by playing the game. One friend commented that out of all the racing games that are on the market, he liked the Dukes the best because there is more to do than just racing. For example: the arrows, pulling cars over, and blowing up things. I've been a fan of the show since it first aired. This game does justice to the T.V. show. It also has three different skill levels to keep things interesting. A must have game for fans.

when will we see smokey & the bandit?
