Dragonball's first 3D Experience...

Dragon Ball GT: Final Bout for the PlayStation (before Dragon Ball Z: Boudaki for PS2) is quite enjoyable. There's 18 Characters all together. The characters that you can play with at first is:

*these characters are based on the DBGT TV show*

1. Little Goku
2. Pan
3. Trunks
4. (Adult) Goku

*these characters are based on the Dragon Ball Z TV show*

5. Super Saiyan 2 Vegeta (you can tell that Vegeta is at this level when you play the game with him)
6. Gohan
7. Cell
8. Majin Buu

9. Frieza
10. Piccolo

You go through the game fighting various characters (ex: Little S.S. Goku, S.S. Vegetto, etc.) And when you defeat these characters that wasn't on the select screen at first, you'll be able to use them afterwards (without the code). All the characters that you (should) come across are:

11. Super Saiyan Trunks (DBZ)
12. (Little) Super Saiyan Goku (DBGT)
13. Super Saiyan Vegetto (DBZ)
14. Super Saiyan Trunks (DBGT)
15. Super Saiyan Goku (DBZ)
16. Super Saiyan Goku (DBGT)

Once you defeat enough characters, you'll fight the biggest character and the first boss of the game: Super Baby (for the people who don't know about much DBGT, try to go around on the 'net and find out about the first boss of the Dragon Ball Grand Tour TV show, Baby). If you can get past him without losing hardly any energy, you can play the true final boss of the game - Super Saiyan 4 Goku (18th character in the game, and the 17th playable character of the game). When I first played this game back in 1998, I didn't know NOTHING about a Dragon Ball or what the concept of this game was even based on; but because of this game, I learned all I could about the world of Dragon Ball and found it to be quite interesting.

The graphics were nice (back in the day before PS2), and once you play it enough times you get used to the movements of the characters and the backgrounds created for this game. For today's standards, I recommend this game for a younger fan of Dragon Ball before playing Dragon Ball Z: Boudaki for PS2. For the older fans who like to collect Dragon Ball memorabilia, I say get this for your collection. In all honesty, that was the true reason I got this game, since this is quite a rare game in the United States and could be worth quite a lot to certain people. I rate it 3 stars (basically for not beyond fun, and not beyond boring - just in the middle).

There is NO such thing as a converter. This game is in Japanese and good look finding the English version for less than $[money] on [an auction site]. I have the English version, but it's a copy, not the original. I also have the Japanese version (Original Copy) and to play this, you need a Mod-Chip (I just use the swap trick because I'm too lazy to solder the ModChip). DBGT Final Bout is an awesome game, but the graphics are a little blocky considering the game was released in 97. You can unlock characters such as SSJ4 Goku and Vegetto. Build-Up mode is something you gotta check out. Build-Up makes the game. All I do on Final Bout is build up my guy (SSJ4 Goku and Vegetto) and fight a friend of mine. If you have a Mod-Chip or know the swap trick, definetly get this game. Get it anyway and then get a Mod-Chip. If you don't read Japanese, the game modes will take a little time to remember where everything is, but you'll get it. A total 10 out of 10.

This is a SWEET game. An absolute must-have. You can build up your character of choice. Whatever attack you use, it continually gets stronger. Like, if you use "kick", "kick" gets stronger. My favorite character is Super Little Goku.

This game has AWESOME graphics, great gameplay, and is a whole lot of fun! If you like the Mortal Kombat games, you'll absolutly LOVE this exciting game! A must have game!

THIS GAME IS HARD TO FIND. IT IS SO MUCH FUN. THERES LIKE OVER 13 FIGHTERS INCLUDING ALL THE S.S'S AND THERE ENEMY'S. GET THIS GAME IT IS FUN TO PLAY U'LL LOVE IT!

THIS GAME IS THE JAPENESS VERSION. I got this for X-mas and found it to be japeness. DON'T BUY THIS UNLESS YOU HAVE A PSX DISK CHANGER OR MODCHIP. THIS WILL NOT WORK ON THE U.S. PSX WITH ONE OF THOSE. DON'T GET FOOLED LIKE I DID DON'T GET IT UNLESS YOU KNOW HOW TO PLAY IT ON A U.S. PSX. GOOD LUCK :)

This game is the BOMB. My friend originally bought this game, and he LOVED it! So i jsut had to get it. And it rocks! But if you're planning to get it, make sure to use these codes to unlock characters, because the game's no fun without them:
To Get the 6 Super Saiyans:
Press the following at the title screen: Right, Left, Down, Up, Right, Left, Down, Up. Now you have the 6 hidden characters.
To Get Super Saiyan 4 Goku:
After entering the code above, press the following at the title screen: Triangle (10 times), X (9 times). For Japanese version, press Triangle (5 times), Square (9 times).

If these codes are succesfull, you will here a ding after each one, and remember that you have to enter them every time you turn your playstation off. And with getting thsi game you also have to get a converter. And please remember, the converter does NOT work on a PS2, if you want to play it on PS2, then you'll have to order the american version off of ebay or something, because they don't make them any more. So if you have a PS2, and previously had a playstation, keep the playstation if you want to play this game. Also, if you get this game, make sure to go online and find i site that gives you the controls, or else all the combos are immposible to figure out. if you study the manual close enough, you mite get a few tips, but it's hard, because the manual's in Japanese. i found out most of the controls from my friend, but the internet is there for a reason, so use it.

Hey all you people listen up. This game is so awsome that I think everybody should have it. I don't have yet but im going to get it. My friend let me borrow DB-Z-GT and I liked a whole lot. You get to be all these cool different characters,and my favorite character is Goku. I mean this game is so awsome! I wish i had it right now.

the best!!!!!! i had a great time playing.whitch i still am. at first, you get 8 normal characters. then as you go along, you can unlock 6 more.
2 extra with codes...and for teen, it gets violent, but oh well!!
normal characters are:goku,
majin buu,
little goku (goten),
super vegeta,
pan,
freiza,and
cell.
the grapics are 8, gameplay 9, music 6, and teen violence 8.
you can fight your way through battle mode or raise a character's
level and use it in a tournament. it is great and even better than bloody roar. so go buy it or try it!.

I think Dragonball GT Final Bout is the best Dragonball game ever made! The graphics are awesome! The controls are easy to learn! And the blasts are awesome!
