Not As Good As Other US Versions

While there may be the dual appeal for disney and Dance Dance Revolution fans, th truth is that this game is a sub par Dance Dance Revoultion wanna be.
Out for the box this game offers less than 20 songs, about 2/3rds are disney songs remixed to an annoying Eurobeat that gets old FAST. The other 1/3 of the songs are from other DDR mixes. In other words there are no original songs. Also unlike the other versions of DDR the characters DO NOT DANCE, and unlike the other DDR verions the backgrounds are not that of 3D dancing but 2D sprites. The sprites are not exciting either, there movements are relagated to two or three motions looped again and again until the song ends, that are move distacting then anything.

Often with Disney games in an attempt to make the game "easier" for a young audience the developers often manage to make it HARD.
Speed of the songs is faster then most songs on the DDR and DDR Konamix games. Making them hard for the beginner. To make up for this the letter grade system is VERY kind. But what is the piont of getting a B grade but missing more than 20 steps? Silly

In short:

Pros:
Disney Game
Dancing game
Good for "chubby" or "porky" youths

Con:
Graphics (the use of non dancing 2D sprites)
Sub par Music Selection
Limited Number of songs
Too difficult for true begginers
Boring songs
Limited Modes (no beginner or edit modes)

Thats why if gets on two stars.

A BETTER CHOICE:
The Original Dance Dance Revolution for PSone

Cool

It's a great game! You maybe expect some great classics of Disney, but quickly notice that Disney put some effort in new songs and cool remixes. "Let's Twist again" and "Fire" are my favorite tracks! :)
Nevertheless, 1st - 6th mix (import) are even better!!!! ;)

see ya

This features remixes of Disney songs and it's great fun. If you have a pad, you can actually dance to the game! Mickey, Chip N Dale, Goofy and I mix it up as we dance and show-off our DJ skillz, but don't be mesmorised by our funky moves, watch the arrows or you'll "Game Over" faster than I can run! Listen to me, this game is fun, but don't annoy people with the stomping! Stomps, bad, steps, good! And most importantly, have fun!

OK, but stick to imports

I'll say it plain and simple: DisneyMix is the worst of the DDR series. By worst I don't mean that it's really that bad (heck: DDR is one of the best games every made in ANY form), it just doesn't compare to the other Mixes of DDR. The songs are alright but there are better on USA mix or the upcoming DDR Konamix. So I suggest you stick to those mixes or better yet; just buy a Code card ...get some imported mixes of DDR.

Love it

I just got this game and it was the best purchase I've done so far. I bought it for my child (6 yr) for her birthday and we played it for hours. The adults got the kids off of it and played it until 11pm.

It's also a great workout. You start to notice that you're sweating after your through and you can't stop.

Get your hands on it, you won't be sorry.

Fun, but really easy.

Sometimes I get a strong desire to play this, but it passes after about half an hour because there aren't many songs on this mix to begin with, and that leaves even fewer songs I really like. I have to say though, the soundtrack (Japanese release) is amazing, on it's own.

None of the songs used in this album were popular, recognizable Disney songs. They were all from Disney, but they were all rather obscur. I was majorly disappointed.

If you have never played DDR and are under 11 (or like me cant wait for the next DDR mix!) this is a nice game for you.
If you have played DDR before, and are expecting some tough songs to chalange you get Konamix! But I like this Mix alot it has a few SUPER COOL song like Night of Fire and Higher!!!! Also if you play every song on Basic and Trick and Pass You get to play songs on MANIAC!

Great Game!

This is a great game for kids who like DDR but it's too hard for them yet want more of a challenge than the jungle book dance game. This is a very fun game but it has one flaw. SPENDING THE EXTRA [money] FOR A DANCE PAD. I got the jungle book one (comes with 2 dance pads) and I'm buying this and DDRK and DDR. You get more for your money that way!
