The original Legacy Of Goku game for the Game Boy Advance was one of the most disappointing Dragon Ball Z games I had ever played. Dragon Ball Z games are infamous for their "hit or miss" reputation, and that game was one of the biggest misses yet. When I heard that Infogrames had a sequel on the way, my expectations were extremely low after having played the first game. But, being an open-minded person, I decided to give it a try. How does it measure up? Read on and find out.

PROS:
-THE CONTROL HAS BEEN GIVEN A MASSIVE IMPROVEMENT. You can actually move diagonally in this game. Not being able to do so was one of the biggest problems of the original game, and that's been fixed here. Also, you can now dash by double-tapping the control pad in the direction you wish to run. Control improvements are one of the most welcome additions to this game.
-UNLIKE THE FIRST GAME, YOU CAN PLAY AS MULTIPLE CHARACTERS HERE! Only being able to play as Goku in the first game was a massive disappointment. Fortunately, Infogrames fixed this problem as well. Being able to play as several different characters helps to break the redundancy that plagued the original game.
-THERE ARE TONS OF SIDE QUESTS. In addition to the game's standard storyline, there are a number of side quests you can achieve to gain new items and to advance through the game.
-THE GAME USES RPG ELEMENTS. In this game, you get experience points for every enemy you defeat, and each time you level up, you become stronger. The "level-up" element is one of the best things about this game.

CONS:
-LIKE THE FIRST GAME, THIS ONE HAS PLENTY OF STORYLINE INACCURACIES. For example, standard human and animal foes in the game are almost as strong as the character you are playing as. All right, I admit they probably had to do this to make the game more entertaining, but still - die hard fans of the series may be turned off by the inaccuracies.
-IT USES THE AMERICAN NAMES AND DIALOGUE. This was to be expected, and personally, it doesn't bother me too much, but there are some die-hard Dragon Ball Z fans out there that just hate the dub with a passion (I'd know because I used to be one of them.)
-ALL THE CHARACTERS IN THE GAME LOOK TOO CHILDISH. This was a problem in the first game, as well, and I was disappointed not to see it get the proper fixing. Oh, well.
-IT'S FUNNEST THE FIRST TIME THROUGH. After playing through the game once, you're bound to get bored with it - games like this generally don't have a lot of replay value.

OVERALL:
To put it simply, this game improves on the original Legacy Of Goku in just about every way imaginable. If you're a Dragon Ball Z fan, or you just want an entertaining Action-RPG hybrid game, check this one out.

This game is hott!! u should get it now if u liked the first one this one is 10 x better and now u can play with 5 different people trunks gohan goku vegeta piccolo and 1 secret character that i will let u find out! GET IT RITE WHEN IT COMes OUT!!

Ok first off i would like to say is that this game is like ten times better than the first. There are so many changes to the game and it is so much better. There is a new way to battle(you actually get to see how much damage you are doing!).There is a new flying system. You get to be trunks, vegita, goku, and gohan. They all have at least 5 energy attacks and some combos. You learn the attacks that the character has in the show and choose if he gets the or not. It takes you threw the trucks, android, and cell sagas. This is a great game i hope you find this review helpful and like the game!

It's not great, it's not greater than great, it's greater than greatest! I own this game and the action is superb, the graphics are awesome, and the fights are very cool! I liked the part where they first meet Trunks and he slices Frieza in half but in the show he slices Frieza into six pieces. BUY THIS GAME IF YOU ARE A FAN OF DRAGON BALL Z!

Well done, but a little short

Though the actual game plot is short and only covers the android saga, how could I not give this game 5 stars? You can play all all charecters, turn SSJ (Super Saiyan), and eventually play as Satan (very, very powerful). Geee, who'd thought Satan'd be SAVING the world. Anyway, the plot is short, but there are many side-quests including the LONG quest to unlock Satan, I know he's very powerful but I have yet to unlock him. I will now, my advise is buy this game, if you like Dragon Ball Z, if not then you might not like this.

Lots Better than the first one

This game is great. In the first game you could only play as Goku and the game was really short. In this game you can play as 6 characters, but at most you can use 5.

One bad point about this game is you can't have herbs and your ki doesn't regenerate. Now you have to blow up rocks to get the herbs and little things that regenerate your ki.

Also, you can't fly whenever you wish. You have to run, but in this game, you run a lot quicker. I actually like how the running works better in this game than in the last one.

The game doesn't take 3 hours to complete, and you can get your characters up to level 50

Some advice. IF you get Gohan, Trunks, Piccilo, and Vegeta up to level 50 before you fight cell, there are these little door ways that say 50 on them. You can blow them up and get a statue for each of the Character. Once Goku dies against Cell, you get his statue. The you can play as Hurcule...It's really funny. You get him at level 40 and if you train him up to level 50, you get to watch an alternate ending.

This game is lots of fun.

this game is not what i expected because it is way better than i could ever imagined. in the first onee you're only allowwed toplay goku but in this one you get to play vegeta goku,gohan,piccolo and even hercule but you have to find out how. All in All this is a very good game i reccomend buying after you're finished reading this review.

You get to play as the characters in this order: Gohan, Piccolo, VEGTA, Trunks and Goku. Every character has 4 blast attacks. Cell can kill Gohan in 2 attacks. You have to be on level 50 to get to cell games with Goku.

This game is great! I borrowed this from my brother even though I really didn't know much what DBZ was. I played it, and it was so much fun! Great for an action/RPG game lover! You don't have to know anything about DBZ to have fun in this game. There's 5 characters that you can play, 6 if you unlock the secret one ;). The graphics are great, there're tons of sidequests, lots of action, and my brother says it stays true to the series, if you're into that sort of thing :). Have fun!
