This game is great. You get to drive along rodes in everything even a tank or a dune bugy. There is real traffic on the roads that you get to crush. This game is the best (not good as halo) but close. The official xbox magazine said that this game was a really really nice graphics game and that they were looking forward to it.

Wreckless looks to be promising through the previews i've seen. If project gotham racing was too realistic, and perhaps too constricting, then this game is right up your ally. With a fully-interactive city, traffic, pedestrians, many missions and cars, and incredible graphics, this is a game i will be getting. there will be 20 different, high-intensity missions to choose from. drive in 10 vehicles to try and carry out your police duties against the Yakuza mafia.

I don't even own this game yet (It has yet to come out) and I already know that it will be a hit. It recieved editors choice from the official XBOX Magizne, and supposedly has the best graphics engine on any XBOX game yet. Yes, better then Dead or Alive 3.
I know that the idea of this game is Midtown-City racing, but that is not the whole idea. You have to destroy everything in your path. This is a very good idea for a video game. I have always enjoyed racing games, but this goes beyond any other racing game.
The only one thing I am dissapointed about with this game is that it provides no two-player mode. But, if you think about it all the good games (Grand Theft Auto 3, Max Payne, and Other HIt Games) sometimes don't have a two-player mode, but still blows all the other games out of the sky. BUY THIS GAME, WHETHER YOU LIKE IT OR NOT.

If you like to drive around a realistic city running over things doing some crazy missions (like running over Dim Sum stands or knocking people off the road), this is a fun game with just a bit of cartoony feel to it. Its not for serious car game lovers, this is a light-hearted fun game. The control are good for a game like this and the CG movies are *ok* at best, but its definetely a lot of fun too play (but it does get repetitive)... and its okay for kids too since you can't run over people and there are no guns -- yes even without guns, its still a fun game!
Maybe I'm the first to review this after its release....

OK, I just picked up a copy at EBWorld when I was at the mall yesterday...They had just received their shipment and didn't even have it on display yet.
Well, here's my short review...You start out looking at some cool character animations (they are modeled on Japanese animations, but speak English only). After the first cut scene, you get right into the driver's seat. Doesn't take too long to get the hang of it. The graphics are amazing...there are really two types of display modes for the driving scenes. The real time driving is fluid and has a nice 3D look with smooth blended colors. You can run over anything including people (there is no gore - if some unfortunate old lady gets in front of your car...well she just flashes and then disappears - but the game moves so fast that you don't have time to really notice). Your object is to keep bumping into the enemy cars until they blow up (they have little health meters next to them - when its all gone they explode). The driving is fun, and you feel pretty powerful zooming through barricades, post office boxes, etc while keeping an eye on the visual map to see where the enemies are going. They make some quick unexpected turns through parks and side streets. I think one of the coolest effects in the game is after you finish a mission...you have the option to watch in replay mode your entire combat scene...every turn you took, every hit you made, every crash...the graphics are incredible in this mode...it will show your car at different camera angles sometimes like blended watercolors, sometimes black and white sketches, etc. You have to see it.
I really like this game and it is starting to show some of the power of the XBOX, expecially with the high frame rates...so smooth. I will be interested in hearing what PS2 fans think of this game ...so many people have been bashing the Xbox...give it a chance...when the first generation PS2 games came out...they weren't as good as the new ones being released today.
The only thing I think could be improved is the crashing into enemy cars. It would be cool to see more parts blow off of them as you hit them. The game is a little like a demolition derby in the downtown city streets, but I think it would be more satisfying if you saw the enemy cars lose bumpers, doors, etc. You can hit the cars at any angle, but most of the time, since you are in hot pursuit, you are hitting them from behind, rear ending them.
I think this game has high replay value, especially with all the missions available. Sure it would be great to have a 2 player fight mode, but maybe in future versions we'll get a taste of that.
Overall, I think the graphics are a 5, and the gameplay a 4++.
Don't buy this game. It may be worth renting.

The graphics are excellent. That's the only good thing I can say about it. The game play is absolutely horrible. The camera changes perspective on you at the worst possible time. The game is very frustrating because of this. The time limit to complete the levels is barely sufficient, so the seconds lost everytime the camera changes perspective cause you to lose the level. I strongly suggest you rent this game before buying it. It's only single player, so if you get tired of the missions, which you will, there's nothing left to do.
Wreckless...yet another Bloodwake disappointment

I got Wreckless with the antipation of owning a new fun XBox game. I, being a veteran gamer, was left sorely disappointed. After playing several missions I've come to realize that the developers of the game must think we gamers love having to do boring things over and over again. They also think we'd like to see a terrible looking instant replay of us doing it over and over again. The game frequently pummels you with below the belt hits, smacks you with cheap shots and puts a doom clock over your head just for spite. The graphics are fantastic but who cares when the gameplay is lame. They say the physics engine is accurate. I don't see it. GTA3's better than that. At least the cars don't disappear in front of you or corners throw you for a 180 everytime your near. The in game arrows will blind you and the huge map and displays all over your screen make seeing where your going a huge hassle. Bottom line, Save your money or just rent it!
Wreckless is a mix of the best games!

Wreckless is the kind of game you can't stop playing until you beat it. The game mixes elements of San Francisco Rush, Test Drive 6, and Blast Corps. You can play the game as two different teams of two characters, and each team has a different set of missions, you can also earn and unlock a total of 12 cars, including a monster truck and a tank! The graphics are stunning especially when you watch a replay, it is the most realistic car game I've ever seen. So if you're looking for a very entertaining game, with a large variety of missions this is it!
Don't waste your money for this terrible game!

I was eagerly awaiting the release of this game, then when it came out, I decided to rent it, and was greatly disapointed. First of all, when you are in the missions, it is very difficult to turn and you can easily go off course, which means you basically lose the mission. Second, even if you stay with the "Yakuza" and "Enemy" marked vehicles the entire time, there is no way you can bash them enough to stop them. I quickly got bored of this game, and you will too. Just don't buy this game!
