Don't judge this game till you know how to steer in corners!

General/Summary: This game is GREAT so long as you turn corners by pressing down on both the brake and gas triggers at the same time - easing from one to the other - pumping them as needed. You can control phenomenal power slide turns, 180's and so on with little trouble - and the feel of it is excellent. This is when you'll appreciate the physics system of the game...
If you like arcade racing games a la Midnight Club Street Racing, Driver and Burnout - you ought to like this game.
Issues? Yes. You can get caught on walls of buildings. Avoid them. You can drive through trees. AI cars in oncoming traffic purposely steer into you...if you learn the cornering technique...you won't care nearly as much about these issues because the game becomes so much more fun.
Graphics:...Good, but blurry sometimes. Not the end all but certainly quite nice.
Sound: Voices are fun if you like campiness. Music is actually pretty decent techno but you won't notice that until you go to the options and crank up the music volume in relation to the engine and effects volumes.
Is it just me, or are Xbox games a little lame?

Before I start, I just want you to know that I own a Xbox system: I love the machine, I also love Halo. By no means am I just ragging on the system for no reason. The last 3 or 4 games I got for the Xbox have (...) WIND! (including this stupid game wrecklass. If you want to buy GRAND THEFT AUTO 3, just buy it; dont buy Xbox's lame version. Wrecklass is great looking, thats what sold me; but the game itself is way too coached and the story is weak. I was greatly disapointed with this game, I just hope Xbox comes out with better games in the future. Otherwise I will consider my Xbox to be the worlds most expensive paper weight.
Wrecklass will be yet another Xbox game that I will end up trading in for hardly nothing.
Best Driving Game Oyt there!

Simply breathtaking. The graphics for this game are simply incredible. The reflections at night are as true to life as can be. Great vechiles as well. I have yet to earn the tank and the vechiles are great even without it. Also the game is not terribley short. Yeah it's a bit short, but who wants to play a game forver? Also the missions are great. They have a little bit of everything in them. You can take out certain vechiles, take out certain stands, take photographs of certain things, you also even race in the game. Trust me, everyone who has revied this game bad does not own it. Once you get into the game it is one of the best games out for xbox. Get this game!

Great looking, great cars, but no multiplayer. The game is alot of fun to play and almost as fun to watch. The replay feature is very cool and almost looks real at times. The only drawbacks are that there are only 20 missions and it only took a week to beat them all. Then again im in college so there is not much else to do. The levels do have good replay value because its a very good time driving aroud and breaking things. A good buy, but it might be a good idea to wait till it goes down in price a bit.
Worst game ever

This could be the worst investment I have ever made. If I can help others not make the same mistake, that would help my thoughts a bit. I wonder if I can return it??
I wish GTA3 looked that attractive...

Who says that there is almost no difference in graphic power of the three systems? DOA3, Halo, and Wrecless are great examples of Xbox horsepower and they really blow other games and systems away.
Wrecless, without any doubt, is the most technically advanced game out there. With all the best eye candy that can be achieved to date, tons objects on screen at the same time, and fluid framerates, it is the most amazing demonstration of the technical power that was not achieved by any other systems before (Gamecube, PS2, PC, and MAC). Even though the gameplay limits the overall fun, I might even say that the graphics make up for all of that.
If Grand Theft Auto was originally for the Xbox, it would be a revolution in gaming. More traffic could be on the road, more variety in people, the graphics would look A LOT better (like those in Wreckless), and there won't be any glitches and framerate problems. Wreckless graphics combined with gameplay of GTA3 would definitely result a HUGE step forward in videogames.
Buy Immediatly

Though i was very disappointed with the graphics of this game, the gameplay is AWESOME. It has about 60 different levels, and making your own cars is awesome. I'm sad I rented it at all, I knew i should have bought it first. Seriously, who cares if the graphics are bad if the play is so SWEET. Did I forget you can custom make levels? SWEET GAME! I'd buy this right away, before all your friends do.
Fun, 4 awhile...

Wreckless was a very fun game to play. You chase the mafia around, because you are a undercover cops. While you play through the single player mode, it is very fun. But when you finish it, it is boring. The Xbox version lacks a free-roam mode, which the PS2 & GC verions gain. You can still free ride if you want to, it's just timed...All in all, this game is ok. So, if you like cop chases & mafia games, this one is yours!
Good game to have, but not at full price.

Recommending Wreckess poses a dilemma. There are so many things about the game that are good, most specifically those things surrounding the graphics. Wreckless contains a beautiful and detailed Hong Kong cityscape and is chock full of special effects. After a mission you can watch a replay that is stunningly realistic. The game is also easy to pick up and lots of fun to play.
So what's the problem? Unfortunately, this is not a game that will grip you for hours. After the pretty graphics and the novelty of smashing everything in sight wear off, you find the gameplay has little substance. Drive around, smash stuff, drive around some more, etc. Don't get me wrong, the game can be great fun, but only as something you pick up every once in a while when you want a quick and fast-paced game. Don't hesitate to buy Wreckless up if you can get it at a discount. Otherwise, you might want to try a rental first.
One last thing that should be mentioned. This game is based in Hong-Kong, so vehicles drive on the wrong (i.e., left) side of the road. This means that when you start, you will find that your natural inclinations meet you head on with a lot of traffic. In order to be able to complete more advanced levels, you have to learn to get in and stay driving in the left lane.
waste of money

I think Activision was a good company but now they are an evil corporation bent on world domination and they are trying to brainwash kids with the horrible graphics and gameplay od none other than Wreckless, the worst game out I mean, Wreckless, The Yakuza Missions.
