Some stages are extremely hard to get past. My gf loves this game.

The better graphics of all the serie. Maybe is not the better in history but is the better in anything else. Better graphics that the computer version. The game in the PSP runs excelent without any problem.

This game is the devil! I'l lured in to play, but get so frustrated when I lose! It's addicting and may cause you to project your PSP across the room or into the wall.

Beyond the frustration, this game is the most fun game I have ever played.

This is a great game. It's much better than need for speed 2 (underground). The cops kinda bug but it's ok. Need for speed carbon is much better than this game though.

I haven't picked up any Need For Speed for a while so I decided to try this one out. The graphics are pretty good for PSP. The customization is okay, but nowhere near as detailed as the console versions. There isn't really much of a story here, you basically read a short little paragraph about the boss racer you're trying to take down and that's about it. The music on this extremely annoying, unless you're into that whole mainstream gangsta music and even though the generic stupid rap songs on here don't compose the entire soundtrack, the rock ones on here are garbage. Can you believe they decided to put songs from Disturbed, Static-X, and Avenged Sevenfold? Lame! One thing you will also notice when you start playing the game is that the cops will pester you to the very end. Using NOS will let you get ahead of them like ten feet but they'll just catch up again in a matter of seconds. The cop cars really bring down the game the most for me. The fun level in this game seriously goes down when a SUV cop car will be three turns behind you and catch up to you in about five seconds despite you going 170+ mph. Unrealistic! Other than that though, this game is fun, only if you can get past the stupid songs and the cops that catch up to you even when you're maxing out your car.

This is the best game ever i got for christmas. The graphics are excellent and it is way better than burnout legends and the past need for speed games. this game is made for anyone ages ten and up. there are also new features on the game

Well to response to the other guy saying that you can beat a faster car with a slower one, it is true that in real life, but here, NFSMS makes it alittle fair for YOU, so that you can win. Say you race the last opponent with a stock lexus, you can probably win with a little help of skills and luck. The AI has to downgrade it self or upgrade it self to keep up with you. And the AI do make mistakes from time to time, but ever heard of rubberband AI? Well NFSMS got them. Your're 20 seconds ahead of your opponent and they just cut though the map to catch up to you and perhaps may even get ahead of you. Sure this maybe a bad thing, but its a good way to have fun, it makes you get better and advoid mistakes. And I do agree with cop action being slow at first, but if you have patience, then you will enjoy this game.

Get this for PSP if you want to get revenge on the cops we last saw from Hot Pursuit

Otherwise, get it for PS2
pros: great grahics, more grip, harder opponents, smarter cops pursuit mode
cons: unrealistic cops(they ram you),no self-exploration mode, no tricks (knocking over things) to avoid cops.

only reasons you should get this game for PSP
-you don't have a PS2 or XBOX or GCN
-you want to play online but don't want to pay PS2 or XBOX fees
-you are going to go on a long road trip and your car does not have a TV or an electrical output to plug in a PS2 or XBOX

reasons's why not to buy
-frustrating, becasue your hopes of beating a level can be bulldozed off the guardrail mere inches from the finish by traffic or a cop
-you can't drift (it's ok during the begining, but when you reach ranks 5-1, it's annoying how sharp the turns are), instead there is an annoying powerslide, in which you lose about 100MPH per seccond you slide
-your opponents have overly good turning ability, which ends up unfair
