Well, this can be a very chaotic game! The creature noises are very entertaining, the weapons are pretty good, the graphics are really cool, there are a lot of boards, etc. The reason I gave this game a 4 is because the first-person character movement is odd. You have to manuever the yellow buttons while you're steering; otherwise your character will just look around, which can be cool, but it can also be hard on my hands after a while.
A GOOD FRAGFEST THAT WILL KEEP YOU BUSY 7.75 OUT OF 10

Turok: Rage Wars is not perfect by any means, but it has enough content with its interesting single-player, and good multiplayer that unfortunately feels a little incomplete. But its a good old-fashioned split-screen multiplayer game that will keep you entertained, even in today's world of Xbox Live or Playstation Network.
WHAT THE GAME IS: Your basic game of fragfest, you run around arenas and shoot dinosaurs or challenge one of your friends to a game of fragfest, single-player also plays a role in this game, but it feels shallow and a bit unimaginative.
GRAPHICS: There are better looking games on the N64, though it has the blocky look of many games from the time.
MUSIC: There's none. It would have been nice to have some rock music play as I blast away at my opponents.
SOUND: Shooting and dying screams as you or your opponents die.
GAMEPLAY: Controls could use some fine-tuning. The fragfesting will keep you entertained for quite some time, but I wish the multiplayer was a bit more like the N64 classic Conker's Bad Fur Day which has some of the most kickass multiplayer modes like War. There are a number of guns to choose from, but you better keep your ammo in check because if you run out, all you get is the War Hammer which is really lameass. Luckily, this really isn't an issue considering there are so many ammo containers laying around the arenas. You will easily get into blasting away at your enemies and win it all.
OVERALL: This game will keep you busy with a friend for a few hours, but it can never beat Conker when it comes to multiplayer or Quake III: Arena, so it's basically a poor man's version of these games due to its undercooked and shallow areas of gameplay, there could have been so much more put into it, but the game just settles for being good, and not spectacular. It won't kill you to invest in the game though, it will do just fine in your N64 library.
THE GOOD: Good fragfesting gameplay, interesting arenas, good multiplayer, a decent single-player mode.
THE BAD: It's a poor man's Conker or Quake III, no music, not enough modes.
Terrible game

I played this game a total of 40 minutes before I gave up on it. The graphics are poor, the gameplay is difficult, the controls are bad, the concept is bad. I absolutly hate this game. I found it hard and somewhat boring to play. Though games I would recomend would be; Perfect Dark, 007 Golden Eye, Army Men Sarge's Heroes 2, Duke Nukem 64.
i luv this game

To hell with Golden eye, to hell with mario, this is the best 64 game. With the best multi-player, challenging single player, and many unlockable charicters, this awesome.
My favorate thing is no sniping, and camping is useless. This is a REAL shooter. No tricks to win.

The next game in the Turok series, Turok: Rage Wars is Acclaim's answer to Quake 3 Arena and Unreal Tournament. While it might not have the speed of moving around quite as fast as Unreal Tournament or the posh visuals of Quake 3 Arena(even with the expansion pak); Turok: Rage Wars fits the multiplayer fragfest for the console owners quite nicely. It has new weapons and powerups, over 36 maps to play on, smarter enemy A.I., and is one pretty lengthy game to play. I've enjoyed gathering friends together and playing a 4 player deathmatch or Capture the Flag game among others. It's quite addicting and you can easily waste away hours on the game without even realizing it. If you like to play single player, Rage Wars has that, too, but expect it to be something of a training session for when you do get into the multiplayer component. Besides, you have to play Single player to unlock player skins and secret characters.
Despite it's not being quite a Quake 3 Arena or Unreal Tournament, I still love Turok Rage Wars. It's strength is in it's multiplayer modes and that alone is worth getting this game for. You and your friends will love it.

I was very excited when I bought this game a long time ago. I had played Turok games before and was expecting quite a lot from this game. I understood that this was soley a multiplayer game and was fine with that. The fact is, you'd think that someone would have checked to make sure that people could actually beat the two player co-op mode. Apparently no one did because there was an error in the code that made beating the co-op mode impossible. I tried it several times with my brother, but we could not beat it. It isn't like we sucked at playing, because we both had beaten the single player missions.
Aside from this very serious error the game is ok, but that sounds a little ridiculous doesn't it?
If you don't plan on playing the co-op mode (and why would you?) then go ahead and buy this game.
I DID NOT LIKE LIKE IT

Some gamers like my self don`t always play MultiPlayer. So the MP playing is good but not Single player just running around killing computer Bots is boring. The main game was alright and going up against a "boss"(A leader of the bad guys who is hard to beat) was challenging the hardest are Bastille,Syra and Tal-Set beating Tal using Torok unlocks raptor who can only stab its victims to death.A good selection of guns my favorate the freze gun and Insulater because, first i freezw the enemy then i shoot the Insulater at her/him and he/she starts blowing up like a baloon and the skin gets week so BOOM SPLAT he blows up and his/her flesh is every where. These were the only good points in the game but nowhere as fun as Turok:Dinosaur Hunter because its more adventurious.
I have got a PS2,GC and N64
mY TOP 3 GAMES ON n64 ARE
1)007 GoldenEye
2)Turok:Dinosaur Hunter
3)Super Mario-64
bye

I have all Turok games except for 3 and 1( I have the new Turok Evolution witch is the best one.)I play multiplayer with my 2 brothers and we also play with bots.My favorite bot is the icelord. There are tons of great levels and characters. It's also hilarious when your enemies growl when they die like ooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhh or when you use the inflator to make your enimies fatter and fatter until they blow into tiny pieces of their organs. The only reason why I gave it 4 stars is because in 1 player mode the enimies are running at walls all the time and and they don't even bother to shoot you so they are easy to kill. But overall the game is great!Oh,and one more thing, I doubt the M rating. It should be teen.
