A bit on the slow side

I like this game, at first. THere are many good elements, the cereberal bore, which drills out guys brains, and turrut guns, and bear traps. All in all, this game is to violent for younger gamers, it can get pretty boring one player, but the multiplayer is the best feature, if friends are always over, get it, if your looking for a good 1 player game, stay away

O.k. two friends and I played it untill we were to tired to go on! Don't tink this is more of the same. The multiplayerarena's are perfect as are the weapons and powers. We played a little one-player and it is fantastic to! With lots of goals to achieve. No puzzeling, just mayhem and fun. Gone back playing, bye bye.

Quake 3 mixed with some dinosaurs=One awsome game!

Rage wars is extreamly fun. When buddys of mine come over we play it non stop and play to the death. One time we played it for like 4 hours and we still didnt get bored of it.

Another great classic from Acclaim. The game is no sequal...I think. But it is a must have for any true turok fan.
If you liked Quake 3 youll love this game.
Its so fun and out of control.
The gameplay is great
The controls are great
The weapons are beyond Awsome
And the graphics are superb for the time that game came out.
The secret characters are what get you to keep playing it cause
its so friggin exciting. This is a most def if you want to keep this in your collection.

Great Multiplayer Game

I have all Turok games except for 3 and 1( I have the new Turok Evolution witch is the best one.)I play multiplayer with my 2 brothers and we also play with bots.My favorite bot is the icelord.There are tons of great levels and characters.It's also hilarious when your enemies growl when they die like ooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhh or when you use the inflator to make your enimies fatter and fatter until they blow into tiny pieces of their organs.The only reason why I gave it 4 stars is because in 1 player mode the enimies are running at walls all the time and and they don't even bother to shoot you so they are easy to kill.But overall the game is great!Oh,and one more thing, I doubt the M rating.It should be teen.

Turok: Rage Wars is not perfect by any means, but it has enough content with its interesting single-player, and good multiplayer that unfortunately feels a little incomplete. But its a good old-fashioned split-screen multiplayer game that will keep you entertained, even in today's world of Xbox Live or Playstation Network.
WHAT THE GAME IS: Your basic game of fragfest, you run around arenas and shoot dinosaurs or challenge one of your friends to a game of fragfest, single-player also plays a role in this game, but it feels shallow and a bit unimaginative.
GRAPHICS: There are better looking games on the N64, though it has the blocky look of many games from the time.
MUSIC: There's none. It would have been nice to have some rock music play as I blast away at my opponents.
SOUND: Shooting and dying screams as you or your opponents die.
GAMEPLAY: Controls could use some fine-tuning. The fragfesting will keep you entertained for quite some time, but I wish the multiplayer was a bit more like the N64 classic Conker's Bad Fur Day which has some of the most kickass multiplayer modes like War. There are a number of guns to choose from, but you better keep your ammo in check because if you run out, all you get is the War Hammer which is really lameass. Luckily, this really isn't an issue considering there are so many ammo containers laying around the arenas. You will easily get into blasting away at your enemies and win it all.
OVERALL: This game will keep you busy with a friend for a few hours, but it can never beat Conker when it comes to multiplayer or Quake III: Arena, so it's basically a poor man's version of these games due to its undercooked and shallow areas of gameplay, there could have been so much more put into it, but the game just settles for being good, and not spectacular. It won't kill you to invest in the game though, it will do just fine in your N64 library.
THE GOOD: Good fragfesting gameplay, interesting arenas, good multiplayer, a decent single-player mode.
THE BAD: It's a poor man's Conker or Quake III, no music, not enough modes.

Worst shooting game ever!

Of all the shooting games in the world, this is the absolute worst! The graphics are not even half as good as Turok 2, the weapons are stupid, and the enemys are the most unimaginative, stupid brutes that I have ever seen! Also, the one player mode [is terrible], and there is absolutely no challenge whatsoever. The enemys dont even attempt to fire at you! So if you are a fan of (and I feel sorry for you if you are) bad graphics, bad weapons, bad enemys, and no challenge, buy this game. Otherwise don't even waste your time turning the box over to read the back.

Ever since Turok2 multiplayer, this has been a must for all people. It features people like Turok,Adon,Mantid Soldier and Drone,Deadlord, mites,Fleshlords,Endtrails,the Campaigner, raptors, and many more. It features weapons like the boomerang,rifle,crosbow,minigun,inflator, emaciator,NAPALM Gel,Cerebral Bore,Scorpion launcher,and the CHESTBURSTER which reminds me of the movie Alien. These are only a few reasons (other then its the only game based upon multi player)that I gave it 5 stars. Way to go ACCLAIM!

Disappointing, but not bad

After the insane amounts of fun I had a few years back in Goldeneye's deathmatch mode, I hungered for a successor to the king of console deathmatch. While "Team Fortress Classic" for Half-Life (PC) surpassed every multiplayer game to date, I still needed something quick and easy to pop in when my buddies were over. I had hoped that Rage Wars would prove to be a rightful heir to 007, but it just leaves you thinking, "This could've been so much better". Despite its shortcomings, the game still manages to be fun, since it's playable and you can play against friends and 'bots, which do a decent job of simulating a human opponent. Give it a rent and see if you like it.

Major Bugs Kill The Fun

I really enjoyed this game. I bought it because I love multi-player games. Then I tried 2-player trials and found that we could not complete the trial. The creature tag trials cannot be completed. When we completed the mission, we recieved a mission failed rating. We've tried everything. We just tagged each other. We tagged only the bots. We also tried the revenge box and tagged other çreatures. Is this a problem that anyone else has noticed. I've tried 2 copies of the game and I had the same results. In one board I was told that it was a team tag mission. I was a one man team and the rest we're against me. The game also froze on me then it read my memory card and reset. What's the deal Acclaim? Can't you do better than this? Great game. But the bugs ruin it. Don't buy it! We pay good money and should expect better results!

good game if you have at least 2 - 4 friends

This game is ok like i said if you have friends to play multiplayer with. The one player trials are just too hard. right now i have had the game scence December, 2001 and i havent gotten through it yet. But other than that the game has great graphics and cool weapons. This game would be better to rent for a few days to see what you think before you buy this game. And by the sounds of things there is a glitch in 2 player trial i havent tried it out to see if it works yet so you will have to find out yourself.
