Serious Error

I was very excited when I bought this game a long time ago. I had played Turok games before and was expecting quite a lot from this game. I understood that this was soley a multiplayer game and was fine with that. The fact is, you'd think that someone would have checked to make sure that people could actually beat the two player co-op mode. Apparently no one did because there was an error in the code that made beating the co-op mode impossible. I tried it several times with my brother, but we could not beat it. It isn't like we sucked at playing, because we both had beaten the single player missions.
Aside from this very serious error the game is ok, but that sounds a little ridiculous doesn't it?
If you don't plan on playing the co-op mode (and why would you?) then go ahead and buy this game.

PEOPLE, IF YOU HAVE ONE THAT HAS BUGS SEND IT BACK TO ACCLAIM AND GET A GLITCH FREE VERSION. IT IS EXCELLANT. THE MULTI PLAYER IS FUN, RECEIVING MEDALS IS FUN TOO. SOME ARE QUITE HARD TO GET. IT BECOMES INCREASINGLY CHALLENGING AT THE END. WORTH THE MONEY. BUY IT.

The next game in the Turok series, Turok: Rage Wars is Acclaim's answer to Quake 3 Arena and Unreal Tournament. While it might not have the speed of moving around quite as fast as Unreal Tournament or the posh visuals of Quake 3 Arena(even with the expansion pak); Turok: Rage Wars fits the multiplayer fragfest for the console owners quite nicely. It has new weapons and powerups, over 36 maps to play on, smarter enemy A.I., and is one pretty lengthy game to play. I've enjoyed gathering friends together and playing a 4 player deathmatch or Capture the Flag game among others. It's quite addicting and you can easily waste away hours on the game without even realizing it. If you like to play single player, Rage Wars has that, too, but expect it to be something of a training session for when you do get into the multiplayer component. Besides, you have to play Single player to unlock player skins and secret characters.
Despite it's not being quite a Quake 3 Arena or Unreal Tournament, I still love Turok Rage Wars. It's strength is in it's multiplayer modes and that alone is worth getting this game for. You and your friends will love it.

I played this game a total of 40 minutes before I gave up on it. The graphics are poor, the gameplay is difficult, the controls are bad, the concept is bad. I absolutly hate this game. I found it hard and somewhat boring to play. Though games I would recomend would be; Perfect Dark, 007 Golden Eye, Army Men Sarge's Heroes 2, Duke Nukem 64.
Almost flawless

Well, this can be a very chaotic game! The creature noises are very entertaining, the weapons are pretty good, the graphics are really cool, there are a lot of boards, etc. The reason I gave this game a 4 is because the first-person character movement is odd. You have to manuever the yellow buttons while you're steering; otherwise your character will just look around, which can be cool, but it can also be hard on my hands after a while.
