It's the best game of all. Good graphics. Better graphics than other similar video games (N-64). Full of action. Four players can play together on the same team (an advantage because my little brother and I play together and he won't have to fuss because he's not at my skill level; other competetive games where we combat each other creates conflict between us). Very similar to the arcade game (which eats quarters); you can do more and different attacks than the arcade game, an advantage for this format. Weapons include: sticks, swords, axes, bows and arrows, and last but not least, magic that anyone can learn.

Regardless of the Amazon.com's review, this game is a heck of a lot of fun, and I have gotten more than my $50 out of it in the past few weeks. I have always been a fan of Gauntlet, and have played it on the Nintendo (Gauntlet and Gauntlet II) as well an N64. This is by far the best version I have played - and a better game, overall, than the arcade version. The only downside is the 3D view, on some levels, can spin and diorient the player - not often, but enough to notice. My only other complaint is it only has 30 or so levels - I want more! :) If you want flashy graphics to OOH and AAH over for a few hours, then throw away for the next new game, this isn't it. But if you want a good GAME, this is for you.

I played this game before and I think its a pretty good choice of buying.Pretty good graphics too.If you think you have to check this one out for the kids you really dont it shows barely an blood.This Game Is Amazing!!!

Better than Zelda

I rented Gauntlet Legends last week thinking it was going to be really boring. Boy was I amazed! Now all my friends and I are hooked. I have always been a big Zelda fan but sorry, this is way better. With Zelda being a one player game you get stuck watching someone else play but with this game you and 3 other people can be part of the action at the same time! This game is a must have! (Controller Pak needed to save progress.)

If you like medeival fighting games...This games is for you,it has dragons,chimeras,yetis,demons,goblins,possessed dwarves,evil suits of armor (strange part),rats,scorpions,wolves,giant maggots,the GRIM REAPER (very cool),And a living disease that inhabits your body kills you takes your life energy and creates a mutant freak from it!!! When your character gets to levels 10,25,50,100 they get cool stuff like better weapons and pets that help fight! Unlock areas and character types! And when you win you are made a legend...the best game ive ever played. (if you dont like anything that doesn't have the best graphics in the world...maybe you shouldn't get it)

I recently rented Gauntlet Legends and I just have 1 thing to say- it is a lot of fun, HOWEVER the game is only really good with more than 1 person playing. The graphics stink, I must admit, and the sound is even worse, but is one of the best multiplayer games for the N64. The different characters really add something to the game, making each player feel unique, and the amount of stuff you can collect adds a lot, too. The game is definitely not my first choice for a game (Perfect Dark is a million times better), but when 4 players get together the game becomes a true work of art, not an experience because of its graphics, and definitely not for its sound, but because is just simply fun. I suggest anyone who has not played it yet should rent it, because it is a really great game that 4 people can enjoy.

With 4 diferent charactors(warrior,valkerie,archer,wizard) 4relms and 5 levevels in each relm this game will keep you ocupied fora while I usally beat games on the first day I get them... BUT NOT THIS ONE! this game is the funest game I've ever played! I know what your thinking why sould I listen to me... well just go try the GAme! you won't be dissatisfied Buy this game! :)

Okay, so Gauntlet Legends has awful sound, gameplay, and graphics. So parts of the game can become irritating, aggravating, and repetitive. (well, the whole game is pretty repetitive) One thing you MUST know about Gauntlet Legends is that you MUST play with more than one person. Preferably, you play with four. It rocks as a multiplayer game. There is nothing like getting with three of your friends and just wandering around killing everything. There is something oddly satisfying about running around tapping buttons so you get blisters on your thumb. If you find yourself thinking this game is not very good, it is because you are probably playing one player. Some other cool parts about the game is that you don't have to start a brand new character if you invite a friend to play it with. The character creation is so simple that you can fool it into duplicating one character into four with different names and types. The stats will stay the same, unfortunatly. Almost everyone who plays this game will either love it or hate it. I found that most people will play it and enjoy it whatever they said about how much they hate it. This game is a good edition to anyone's collection as an arcade game, a multiplayer game, a button-mashing action game, or simply as a game for letting off some steam.
