Very slow....

I'm sure this game could be a lot of fun...I am a big fan of the Sims and have all of the other expansions but, wow, does this one run slow! I have a very new computer and the Sims ran just fine until I put this one in. I am usually a very patient person but this was ridiculous! I am tempted to uninstall it just for that reason. To me, it seems pretty much like hot date except you have to spend more money and you can stay longer. If you can get it to run at a decent speed, it might be pretty fun. I don't think I'm the only one that had this problem.

The idea of taking your sims on a vacation sounded like a whole lot a fun, and it was....at first. When you take them on vacation it is fun, but when you get back to the neighborhood it is just the same as it always was. The vacation has some fun things to do, but they get boring really fast. In the end I would say that this game is not great.

This game is fun and new. I like the Hot Date and all the rest i can't wait untill the next game comes out.

...I Bought This Game With my Birthday Money. I LOVE THE SIMS,...Yeah The New Features That You Can Experiance Are Cool, Like Visting Pre-Made Vacation Spots And Showing Your Sims To A Good Time. There Are Down Points To This Game And Sometimes They Overule The Good, Like How Slow This Game Is If You Have No Patience DO NOT BUY THIS GAME, Just To Get To A Vacation Spot With Your Sims It Takes Like 2 Minutes Or More, And To Bout 15% Of The Time The Game Freezes. Overall The Game Is Cool, And I Think The Sims Are Like The Coolest Thing And Yes The Good Things, Like The Idea Of Taking Things Home From Your Vacation And Creating Your Own Vacation Are Good, Sometimes Its To Overwhelming To Wait To Do These Things. And Another "Cool" Thing Is That You Can Have Like 8 New Neighbourhoos (I Think), And This Means Alot Of NEW SIMS, BUT!!! If Your Like Me You Dont Want Them All To Look The Same, Another Thing They Should Have Updated Was The Amount Of New Faces And Clothing You Can Dress Your Sims With. The Houses And Objects In The Houses ARE VERY GOOD! Thats One Thing I Was Impressed About, Because I Have Livin' Large, This, And Hot Date I can Basically Do Anyhthing With The Rooms In The House. The NEW Jobs Sims Can Get Is Another Good Feature (If I Even Bother To get Them Jobs, Because Theres A Money Cheat Code. !;!;!;..., hehehe I told You).
So Basically This Is A Prety Average Game Nothing Perfect But Nothing BAd Either It Didnt Overlly Impress Me But It Didnt Let Me Down, I'd Reccomend, Hot Date Instead Though, Better Features If You Dont Want To Buy Them Both.

This was excellent! It helps your sims get away from the average hustle and bustle. Instead of staying home for a few days to rejuevenate and risk getting fired you can go on vacation for days and still have your job when you return! just be sure to keep them happy on vacation or things could become worse than they were when you left!

This version of The Sims is definitly an adventure. There's many new features including shops, new clothes, and more. Its pretty realistic and a fun game to play. If you like the Sims, you'll surely like this game!

Vacation is not the fun you would expect.

I have all five "The Sims" packs. I enjoy the first four very much - but this one is pointless to me.

Yes, there are some new objects - and if that makes the price worth it for you, thats great. But the vacation area is a dud.

I don't use it at all - it is too expensive (in Simoleans) to rely on for making friends (use hot date's downtown for 1/10th the cost). You have to have the entire family prepared to go on vacation at the same time, which is not always easy to accomplish. They move kind of sluggishly - which in one respect is a good thing. The vacation areas are too large to easily see the entire area at once, and the sims have total free will to spend money at random. I spend half my time trying to keep them from eating from the buffet at 25 simoleans a pop.

I am really dissapointed in this expansion pack.

The sims vacation sounded so cool but i checked and it didnt work for my kind of computer so i waited about a year until it finally worked on my kind of computer then i played it and after my 2nd vaction it got boring!! AND once again the sims i want doesnt work on my computer sims unleasheed and sims online dont but i heard they both where really fun so....

Has to be good.

I am a total sims fan. I only have Sims Hot date (lovvvvvvvved it!), Sims livin large (lovved it.) ant the sims ( I thought Will Wright was an einstien). So this one has to be good. When it comes out I will write another review.

A new ad-on?The Sims vacantion,is a game i ever wayet is that the sims go in vacantion.My mother play all the time The Sims(all 4 ad-on)and she always tell me he want a Sims Vacantion,you know take sims out,in vacantion ,not like Hot Date...
