Not the best game out, but is definitely worth the current selling price. I had many hours of fun playing this game and was surprisingly pleased with it. Didn't expect it to be as good as it was..........1

Great graphics, but a bit monotonous on the gameplay. Basically, you drive an armed boat and blow things up to a story line. It is fun, though, and I have a good time playing it. I am yet to do at it in multi-player, so I cannot comment on that aspect of the game.
Getting through it is very easy on easy level, and does go up from there. Easy, though, is very easy. Ensign level, this is more like cabin boy level.

Thats basiscally it. The game is easy {of course me being horse i love to cheat}I'm unstopable on multiplaya and The level are primarily 3 things guard,invade,and destroy. The last level is easy until the wall part. THEN THE OTHER LEVELS ARE SIMPLE BUT THEY'RE{THE ENEMY} LIKE ROACHES THEY DON'T DIE! But THATS THE FUN PART OF THE GAME.Its hard everybody likes a good challenge {but my friend he screams if he loses i tell him to shut up or i'll do it again.}The multiplayer is fantastic if you have all the boats if not its ok But not as fun.Some games get boring after a while but this one won't get tired for a while now.

I was really looking forward to Blood Wake, as it was one of my most anticipated post launch games. What I got, was a letdown.

The game has unbelievable water effects and gameplay is quite fun to play, yet frustrating at times. There are over 25 different type of missions, some incredibly easy others mind boggling difficult. My biggest complaint though, is the lack of story. The game is told through drawings and is poorly done. The voice acting while mediocre becomes annoying and silly at times. The sound is also poor. The battle mode is fun but lacks the maps, boats, and modes to make it replayble. This game could have been much more.

All in all, I feel this was a botched effort by Stormfront Studios. It is a decent game but could have been wonderfully done if given the time and effort. My take, give it a rent before you fork over the [PRICE] for this game.

Do NOT BUY this game!

Pros:
* The water effects are fantastic, but, thank the nvidia chip for that.

Cons:
* Deathmatch was boring and not challenging
* I got vertigo from lousy ship control
* The levels\missions were not challenging

This game is very fun. There is only one problem. There is only maximum of 6 different weapons for each boat which stinks. In all though this game is very fun.

Well it doesn't totally suck, but.....

I found the graphics in this game quite impressive, however the storyline leaves quite a bit to be desired.

You have to complete the storyline mode in order to unlock boats for multiplayer head to head combat, but the missions simply alternate between multiple fairly easy missions followed by one or two that take many attempts.

When you can finish the story mode in under a week, the only thing left is head to head play, so don't count on this being one that gets played much after your initial voyage through the storymode.

Solid Effort - Bloodwake is a go !

Another Excellent Xbox title. I rented Bloodwake and played it over the weekend for several hours. Replay value of the game might be on the low side, thus the 4 star rating.

this is one of those games that comes out with new systems way before it's ready...it'll be in the bargain bin soon. the graphics are mediocre as far as the x-box goes, game play is monotonous and ultimately boring, and sound isn't much better either. ultimately, this is an old school nintendo game with more speed and better graphics(nothing against nintendo, but i expect more nowadays), it wasn't even worth renting. i played it for an hour and then went back to project gotham...

It seems like the people at Microsoft said, "Water is good. Can we make a game out of that?" The first time you play you'll say, "Did i shoot or what?" Thats how bad the sound is. The boats handle like 18-wheelers. The ok graphics are the only thing that it has going for it. Is this the kind of game we can expect from the mighty X-box? If so, I'm pawning mine. And some of you thought this was a 5-star game? What is wrong with you? I'm serous. What is it? All i can say now is...WHAT HAPPED??!!!
