I really recommend that if you are thinking of purchasing this game you download the demo first because- that's just how it is. The demo is taken straight from the game and is an excellent example of how the game is played and what the overall feel is. This is a very straightforward game that requires little imagination on your part- simply point and click your way around and don't worry to much about messing up- it won't let you. In fact, I was struck again and again by how much more enjoyable it could have been with a few simple choices to be made by the player but really there aren't any. The game keeps you on track whether you like it or not and don't plan on exploring to much- there are a few frustrating areas where you need to combine inventory items that are a little off the beaten path but when it comes down to it simple trial and error will see you through.
The positives: the puzzles, few as they are, are entertaining and moderately challenging. The graphics are wonderful, the soundtrack adds to the game without overwhelming it and the characters and story are interesting. For a novice gamer this would be a challenge and could be seen as something of a tutorial on the way to more robust games however, with the odd inventory combination frustrations I would worry that it might put a beginner off the genre entirely. Overall it's an okay game but I really wish more thought/time had been put into developing the game more thoroughly as I really do think it could have been one of the great's with just a bit more work.
Enjoyable Diversion

This game is pretty simple, although I did have to look up a few hints. It was enjoyable, although It's more 3 1/2 stars for fun/overall.
The good parts of the game:
.The graphics are pretty good, although except for brief "movie" shots you don't see their faces clearly. They walk "normally", although they all seem to have a bad case of arthritis.
. Plot wasn't the best, but done well enough to keep the story flowing, I like a little more meat in my plots, but it was good just the same.
. Most of puzzles are easy enough to solve, except the colored balls one, which was very frustrating and I finally looked up the answer.
. There isn't a lot of back and forth on this game, you can't go in places until you triggered something and you can't leave a building unless you've gotten/seen everything, which can make many parts of the game seem way too easy.
. The talking isn't lengthy like in some adventure games, you don't have to pick what to say/ask, it does it for you, but the conversations can go on a bit, but you can click through them.
The bad parts:
. The character voices aren't very good, but the main character has a nice voice.
. You can't reset puzzles, so always save before doing one.
. Putting things together in inventory to make something else can sometimes seem like a ridiculous way of doing things, in my world anyhow, but I've found this true in all adventure games. However, you don't have to worry about doing it wrong, it won't let you use the object(s) till you've combined them right, kind of makes many puzzles/solutions seem way too easy, enough clicking/combining and you can figure it out even if you have no clue what your doing.
. Like most adventure games, some sequences of events don't make any sense at all, ie had to look up hints.
. They apparently didn't have a spell checker/editor. There are double commas and several misspellings, words different than the actual speaking dialogue, etc.
. The character movements are very s l o w. You can't make him run, but luckily you can cut to the entrance by double clicking the door icon, if you click it once you have to watch him walk w/his arthritic bones.
Bottom line: I liked the game, it was an enjoyable diversion, probably a good beginner game, I found it a bit boring after having finished the Syberia series. I would have liked to see more scenes in each phase of the game and be able to explore more.
Okay but not great.

This was the first PC game of this kind that I've played. As a beginner, I found it interesting. I like that you really have to think about the situations and use your brain. Having never played a game like this before, I admit that I had to look up online hints every now and then when I got stuck. The puzzles seemed pretty hard to me and I had to consult walkthroughs for most of them. I have two complaints: #1. The subtitles contain spelling and grammar errors. Don't the programmers have spell check? Or a dictionary? #2. The ending was somewhat ... anticlimactic. I just expected more. That being said, it's not a bad buy for the $10 I paid for it. I'd like to try more games like this.
It was OK, I guess

I have just recently finished the game. I only paid $[...] for it, so it was a good deal. Everyone knows of the adventure game genre. There were some good things about the game: the graphics were beautiful, foreign places. The game plays very straight forward: linear. There are only a few puzzles, one I found a little tricky. If you like this type of game, you might really like it. Not too many mind-twisting headaches. Overall there wasn't too much too it. A lot of dialog. It seems to me the game companys are making their game shorter and easier these days. I hope this review was useful.
Lame dialogue leading to anticlimax

Features include annoying main character with lame stilted dialogue (eventually I just clicked through all speech, of which there's tons) and unbelievable character actions. Simple linear game play. Main menu hides in the upper right hand corner - have to hover over it a while, or you'll never get out because the escape key does nothing. I quickly looked up a walkthrough so I could just get on with seeing the semi-pretty pictures and be done with it.
It's a good game if you like to go back and forth asking a guy for a bucket of water. There were a couple clever puzzles.
A fun, well-animated adventure

If you like third person adventure games that includes intrigue and murder without too much gore, this might be one for you. Since there are other things written on the plot summary, I'm not going to relate the plot here; just tell you what I thought of the game. I will tell you that most of the story is good but some of it is not that great. Sorry if that sounds vague. For most of the game, you explore and solve inventory puzzles. Sometimes it can be a pain trying to figure out what to do with items. The best thing about this game is the array of places to explore. There are European street scenes, underground tunnels, a Mexican jungle and more. The game is very well animated and has good sound effects; especially the rain. So if you sometimes get antsy exploring the same fifteen rooms throughout an entire game, you might want to consider Nibiru. The voice acting is decent; not great, but decent. And the characters are fairly well animated. There aren't too many difficult puzzles, but there are some, (warning! there is one puzzle that is really tedious!) One of the worst things about this game was the ending. It was unrealistic and a little unsatisfying. I'm not going to tell the end here, because I don't want to spoil it, but I wasn't impressed. But, if you just want to play something different, then consider this game.

Ni.bi.ru is a very good puzzle/mystery game. The story is addicting, the graphic beautiful and the voice of the characters are great! Perfect of me, since I like learning English! (My frist language is French, that why... But I like improving my English's skills!)

Pretty good game. Last 2 puzzles were pretty hard for me. Took me awhile and had to go on the internet to get hints to finish. Good graphics.

Better then some adventure games, not nearly as good as the great ones though, Nibiru is standard adventure fare..If you are some adventure game freak in Broken Sword withdrawl perhaps you will want to check out the recent, less-inspired versions..Just don't expect that glut of creativity that was known as 90's adventure gaming.
Great story..

This game had a great story line. It was very interesting and easy to follow. It was medium in length and kept my interest through the whole thing. The graphics were gorgeous, I was quite pleased with it.
The down side is that the puzzles are almost impossible to figure out (most of them anyway), I had to cheat a lot to finish it. That is why it only gets a 3. If the puzzles made more sense it would have been a much better game.
