If you LOVE Nancy Drew, if you LOVE her website, You will LOVE this game, too. Each game just gets better and better. Better graphics, better plots, better action. It is great. I have them all and can't wait for the next one.

Nancy must get tired sometime!

I just bought this game, expecting a wonderful masterpiece. In some ways, it is wonderful--such as the graphics. Despite the fact that the snow looks strangely fake, the graphics--people included--are very well done. The storyline (though I haven't gotten far) is all right so far. But my biggest gripe is that Nancy has to go wandering around like a ghost in the middle of the night while everyone else is asleep! I've read a review that talks about 'resetting the clock and sleeping'; well, I haven't figured that out yet. All Nancy did for her first day there was search for the well-camoflouged door to the basement, then wander and wander and wander until it became purely annoying. When I checked out her alarm clock all I could do was set the alarm, which DIDN'T go off when it reached the time I set it to. It just doesn't make any sense. The new layout is also frustrating--does it make sense to go RIGHT to a new game as soon as you start up? Whatever happened to the old-but-good menu?! Just because this game was made for XP/Vista doesn't mean it has to be just plain stupid. Other than those annoying moments (as well as the lisping idiot in the snow fort) this game is just average.

Great Game/ Bad Ending

I just have to comment on the ending of this game since I read that someone finished it in 2 and a half minutes. I have been working on it for at least 45 minutes and am about to call it quits. I know whodunnit; I don't have to be the supreme winner.

Besides the ending, the game is great. Nancy uses her noggin as always. There are chores that are a bit much but can be easily done. The idea of the game is innovative and it's the first one that I would truly not suspect Nancy as a detective if I were a suspect. There were lots of puzzles to solve, but not many facts which I miss from the previous games. It's still a great way to spend an afternoon or two and makes me look forward to the next game coming out in October.

I was pretty impressed with this one. It isn't my favorite, but it's one of them. It was pretty exiting, had a great storyline, senory, and the characters were pretty cool. The only thing that bugged me was all the duties that nancy had. It would have been better if she was just a normal guest instead of a worker at the lodge.

Average Game

This game was okay but it should have been a lot better. The Adventure Company did not put put enough imagination into this game. A high point is the new excellent interface that relieves you of some of the frustrations of earlier games. The game starts out exciting enough but stalls in the middle with Nancy doing constant repetitive tasks. The ND game planners should take a clue from Return to Mysterious Island and boost up the graphics as well as add 360 viewing. Would I recommend this game, it's okay. Nancy deserves better.

I started to play these puzzle games to get away from 1st person shooters and I'm starting to get addicted! I liked this wolf one. Towards the end I didn't make two meals because that does start to get tedious. Does anyone know what happens if you don't make any meals and/or just move the clock ahead past the meal times?
Anyway, I liked the settings and people in this game. I thought pelting the girl with snowballs to get past her was hilarious! The geese fox game was easy, it was the paramid that slowed me up. And yes, just keep your cursor on the lead snowmobile in the final scenes.
If you are a fan of the Nancy Drew games get this one, you won't be diappointed.

I have not yet finished playing Nancy Drew and the White Wolf of Icicle Creek yet, and am not that far into it yet. However, my first Nancy Drew game was The Beast of Blackmoor Manor, which was incredible and challenging, also exciting and thrilling (a little scary, too.). Perhaps that game was just too much to follow up to, but Icicle Creek is not as fun or exciting. Blackmoor dealt with suspense and intrigue, and Nancy Drew not so much. Also, what I don't like is the constant green "L's" around everything you should click on. It drives me nuts, because they remain even affter I've clicked on them. It doesn't change for senior detective, either. The other thing I don't like is how if you want to go on a path somewhere, Nancy has to walk for you first. It is kind of a waste of time. I wish we could walk ourselves like in Blackmoor. Finally, I'm not a huge fan of scheduling all of your game time around the fact that you constantly have to watch the clock to see if it is breakfast, lunch or dinner time. Making it is rather tedious; maybe it wouldn't be if there weren't so many dishes to make. Also, shoveling the pond is difficult for me; I'm not sure I understand it and I always manage to fall in. That is another thing; whenever you make a mistake, you have to listen to a phone conversation for 5 minutes that you cannot skip by before you can start again. And let it be known that driving the snowmobile is overrated! But don't let this review scare you out of buying this game; my advice is to buy The Beast of Blackmoor Manor first, and play it. Then you can play this one. Or better yet, do that in the reverse order. Then you will see the difference. But not a bad game; I could never say Nancy Drew games are not fun! They're worth your time, usually family friendly (besides a few scary parts, like in Blackmoor) and they make you think!
