All it needs is a story... More levels would be nice, too.

Yoshi touch & go is a fun, addicting game, with 4 modes that span from going as far as possible without getting killed to scoring the highest amount of points in a short period. I recently bought this game (yesterday) and was pleased, but a little borred by the slow and sometimes annoying gameplay.

Don't get me wrong, this is a great game, but the sky area is hard and difficult to get the hang of.

the game starts with baby mario falling from the sky, attached to 3 balloons, and you need to draw cloud tracks to guide him safely to the ground, and at the same time score as many points as possible. you need to keep him away from enemys, and the easiest way to do that is to simply draw clouds that block baby mario from the mennaces. but to get points, one must draw a circle around the enemy to turn it into a coin trapped inside a red bubble, then slide that bubble to baby mario to get some points. drawing cloud tracks that work is quite hard, in my opinion, but you can get the hang of it... after a while. if an enemy hits baby mario, baby mario looses one of his 3 balloons. dont loose all 3, or you fall.

At the bottom, yoshi catches you. your yoshi's color will depend on how many points you got coming down. the more points, the better yoshi. the better yoshi, the more eggs it can hold and the faster it can run.

The 2nd part of your journey is on yoshi, where you (slowly) trot through a land, while scoring points. to do this, you must either tap the screen to through an egg at an enemy, (you tap it where the enemy is, the game doesnt do that for you), or draw a bubble around an enemy and drag it to yoshi. continue this until you reach the goal, die, or your time runs out.

The game has 4 modes, including single-card download play for you and a friend.

The problem is that this game has almost NO story, and there isn't multiple levels. just 1 level for each mode to play, and get a high score of whatever your trying to get good.

This game is my favorite game for the DS, because it is amazingly fun when you get good and in to it, but the few mistakes that nintendo made gives this game 4 stars.

Amazing Game to relax and unwind.

Its an amazing game and great fun for users of all age groups. Infact we liked the game so much we ended up buying one more Nindendo DS just to play against each other, trust me its great fun.
The games are short but if you are not a kid with lots of time at hand I find this a perfect ending to a hectic day.
Great for taking short time and mind off things.

Yoshi Touch & Go is an engaging game that is easy to learn. I think you would enjoy this game very much, but that is just my opinion. Even my Mom, who doesn't like my other Mario game, loves it. I hope you buy this game. (By Jack)

This game is really good. In this game you are Yoshi. You have to make clouds around enemies and protect baby Mario. There are 4 different modes to play and it is challenging. Over all, this game is great.

I was nervous when I bought this game. Really, it's so unique, it will be a big hit or a horrable disaster. My worries were sort of at ease after I began the game. Instantly, I noticed some flaws. If your like me, you just touch a mode and assume they're going to explain the version to you, well they don't. Instead you have to look for a (fairly small) "Demo" button.

What kind of button is Demo? I mean honestly!

After you understand the whole game you can enjoy it much more. Just thought I would mentioned some flaws before I start my review.

Storyline 2/10: A stoke (bird) is carrying something very speacial... a set of twins. (Mario and Luigi.) I would like to point out now that Mario and Luigi are not twins! As stated from paper mario: "Hey BIG BRO, you got mail." or something like that. Unfortianatley, Kamek comes and knocks Baby Mario out of the stoke's cradle! That's it. Now I know your thinking 'That at least deserves a 3!' Well, let me explain. In order to know what the Storyline is, you must *gasp* read the instruction booklet. In other words they never ever explain the storyline!

Graphics: 3/10: Not impressed. They look like the graphics were ment for gameboy!

Strategy: 6/10: You must strategically place clouds to maximize points/survival/other. You must think hard yet quick, don't get me wrong though, this is nothing like meteos!

Cons:

-The whole point of the game is to make the high score list, not save mario!!!
-This seems like it could get extremely dull without a couple of people to compete for the high score.
-You can't enter your initials.

Overall: If you want to kill some hours, I would reccomend this. If you want a game that will last you forever, try nintendogs. If you like the concept, buy Kirby: Canvas Curse, it has the same concept, but is more lenghtly

better than it looks...

Ok, for all you geniuses out there that are saying "I don't like this game, it's too short and it's just a gimmick," stop talking. Just becuase you're no good at video games doesn't mean you can bash the uniqueness of the DS. This game is great, and it's very hard to master. If you're looking for a good pick-up-and-play game, choose this one, and don't listen to anyone who says "No, it's stupid," or, "No, it's a bad game," because they just aren't any good at games and can't admit it. For you and me, though, the GOOD gamers, let's just leave those people in their soft cushiony short buses and move on.

I loved this game but I don't think it would appeal to everyone. There are 2 parts to the game, one with mario and one with Yoshi. You don't directly control Mario or Yoshi(except for making Yoshi Jump)in either of the games, you guide their movement by drawing clouds with the stylus. In the Mario section baby Mario is falling and you draw clouds to guide him to coins and away from enemies. When he gets to the ground you the Yoshi level begins, which is a side scrolling level. In the Yoshi level you can do everything that you could in the first level and you can also make yoshi jump, by pressing him with the stylus or throw an egg by pressing a part of the screen with the stylus. The game sounds very easy but there can be a lot of enemies at times and several of its modes use randomly generated maps. Using random maps makes the game more difficult and varied and gives it a longer life span. It also has a great multiplayer mode.

Reviews have given it scores ranging from 5 to 9 so its the type of game you either love or hate. If you do love it then its a game that can be played for either 5 minutes or several hours. The marathon mode, which is randomly generated and endless is the type of game that always makes you want to beat your last high score. Many people love this game, including me but a lot of people might get bored with it after a while. people expecting a platform game might also be disappointed. people who are interested in the game but prefer platformers might want to wait for Touch, Kirby's Magic Paintbrush, which was recently released in Japan and uses very similar controls and gameplay but as part of a platform game.

Best game for the DS

I got my DS the day it came out and up until now I somewhat doubted my choice. With "Warioware Touched!" and "Yoshi Touch and Go" now I feel that it was worth it.

More to the point, though, is that this game fully achieves what the DS is going for. The DS is about innovation and unique gaming, and I haven't ever played anything like this before. With the seemingly random level design and the bizarre uses of the stylus I couldn't se getting tired of this soon.

The downside to this game is that it really doesn't have a main game. If you're big on just picking up a game and playing it for 20 or so minutes a day then this is the game for you. If you're looking for 100+ hours of guided gaming then don't get it. I love old school arcade, and this fits the bill very well.

Not worth the price...

I'm usually a very positive gamer. However, Touch and Go left me feeling disappointed...

First off, Yoshi just keeps moving forward. You have no control over him. You can only scribble clouds so he doesn't fall to his doom, in which case, you have to start the single level again.Oh yes, you can touch the screen the to shoot and egg.Um-yay?

Please, use the $30 you would use to buy this game for something better. For true touch-screen innovation, pick Kirby Canvas Curse or WarioWare:Touched! For a plain fun game, I reccomend Super Mario 64 DS. Happy Shopping, all!
