Bought this as a party game for my wife and friends (30+ Crowd). Although the game doesn't have as many multi player options as I might like, it is still a load of fun with a group. We have found it to be a decent exercise game as well (try the bomb run game). Humor is a great addition; we find ourselves laughing quite a bit at the bunnies and at each other.
You do have to beat the single player to get multiplayer access, but we have found the single player works fine with groups as well. Just pass the controller around.
Especially now that this is usually value priced (Don't make me a lier amazon) it is a must have you non-stiffys that can have a good time without their 42nd level PattyWarrior and his +2 Chain Sword.
Great Workout!

Fun game...gets you moving around which is a nice change for a video game. Short movie sequences (also a plus), but very entertaining. Only downfall is that the Story Mode isn't very long, although they do allow you to go back and replay the mini games.

Rayman is a great game to play to unwind and not focus on anything serious. It is a very silly and completly hilarious game where you perform dance moves and shoot "rabbids" with plungers. Seriously, how much more zany fun could you have?

This game is great, I absolutely love it. I'm really not a video game person, and I was addicted to this one. The mini-game concept makes it easy to stop playing whenever you want. It is also really great for parties, every one can take turns playing a mini-game in single-player mode, or compete with each other in multi-player mode. It is fun and light-hearted.
BUY THIS GAME!!!

Rayman raving rabbids could be one of the best game ever on Wii. It consists several different kind of games that well demonstrate the properties of Wiimote. And the unusual enemies, rabbids, are somehow funny and cute. It is a excellent party game, and is quite fun for playing alone too.
However, despite all of the "fun factors," there are some small defects in this game:
1. Sometimes, the 3D animation of some background characters does not play smoothly, especially when Rayman stays within the arena walking around, the rabbids in the background move like robots.
2. For the dancing games, sometimes the rabbids do not appear following the musical rhythm of the song, and make it hard or even impossible to achieve the perfect score.
Although there are some small defects, it is still a game that worth to buy.
Great party game!

Rayman's Raving Rabbids is an absolutely great party game. Once you're done with Wii Sports, pick this up and have it for your next gathering. Rayman's having a picnic with some globaby friends, and they get kidnapped by evil, insane bunnies with plungers (and hammers, spatulas, french maid outfits, etc). To save his friends and get himself free, he has to compete in challenges that eventually allow him to escape his imprisonment.
Four mini-games make up each round, (you must complete three to move up) followed by a more challenging game that is generally either a race or a rail shooter. There are about twenty such 'rounds' and once you are finished you can go back and replay the mini games either for score or as multiplayer.
There's a great variety of games, and even the repetitious ones are always funny and entertaining to watch. Because of the variety of challenges, you'll be constantly handing the controllers off to whoever is better at say, racing or cow throwing or carrot-juice pumping or choir-boy backhand slapping.. yes, those are all challenges in the game. It's almost as entertaining to watch as it is to play. Maybe not the best game for one or two hardcore gamers to play, but for a group of casual gamers at a party or a family? Perfect.
Do note there is some violent material (hitting bunnies with hammers/slapping them) and gross-out humor (tugging worms from from the rotting teeth of a bunny's mouth). Bur really, nothing worse than on classic Bugs Bunny.
Plain and simple.

This game is hilarious. Every mini-game is really weird and really fun. Yes there is no real storyline and yes it is just a bunch of mini games crammed together but they are all very entertaining. Pack-man didn't need a storyline that was just a yellow ball bouncing around eating white dots and people love it. There is nothing better than playing whack-a-mole with a bunch of evil rabbits. Or even better yet, trying to remain manly when trying to keep the beat to a bunch of bunnies singing 'Girls just wanna have fun'.
If you are a bit strange and would like to take some real life frustrations out on evil bunnies then this is the game for you!
Being fun is enough

I have been a gamer since the days of Pong, Colecovision, Intellivision and the Atari 2600. I have played a lot of games on a lot of different consoles in all those years and I can say this without embarassment:
No game has ever made me smile and laugh outloud like this game has.
No, it's not rocket science and no it does not have a complex story line. But that is the beauty of it. You have to accept this game for what it is, a collection of short, fun, mini-games. And to say that it does not have a complex story line ignores the very many details of the game that the programmers have thoughtfully put in. For example, when you first enter the arena, the place is full of screaming rabbids holding knives and dynamite sticks yelling for you to perish. As you advance through the game the crowd slowly gets apathetic, then slowly turns to your side. By the time you are finishing the first mode they have banners saying "Rayman Forever" and they are showering the arena with flowers.
I have seen other reviews say they didn't care for the dancing games but that has been by far our favorite. I play it with my daughters and it is something that we have enjoyed doing together.
At $30, you really can't go wrong. Buy it, order some pizzas and invite some people over, you won't regret it.
Great game for the money

My family bought this game after getting a Wii for Christmas. It was only $29.99 in our local Target store. I don't know why it costs so much on line. It quickly became the favorite Wii game we own. I love the fact there is a story to the game. Watching Rayman get caught and thrown in a colleseum to perform different tasks is great.
There are so many different mini games that it is hard to get bored.
Shooting plungers instead of guns earns high points from this Mom. The bunnies are cute too.
My four year old wants to play because he can see how much fun we are having but I think it is a little complex for preschoolers. I think it would be great for anyone ages 7 and up.
Some of the challenges really get your heart pumping too, like trying to run to the finish line before your present explodes in your hands!
As you pass each game you go on to a higher difficulty level the next time you play that game. There is a game where you have to keep rhythm with dancing bunnies that gets really challenging as you move through each level.
If you like a game with a lot of mini games where you can play alone or with a group I would recommend you get this game. Check out your local Target for a better price!
