Every game comes with a good and bad

This game is VERY challenging. You must be very good with the wii remote or you will find this game to be very annoying. I suggest start practicing the wii with more easy games. Then come back to Call of Duty and see if it is easy for you. Call od Duty 3 is an awesome game. I recommend it.

Almost Great

I first must stress that I am already pretty tired of Call of Duty type (WWII FPS) games. I prefer 3rd Person SOCOM type games but this one is different because of the Wii controls. You've never been able to feel more in the game than you can now. The non-stop action will never get you bored especially because you have to stay focused with the Wii Remote. If you have checked my review of this game for PS3 and are wondering why they are so different, let me quickly explain. I rented it and returned it within a couple days because it bored the hell out of me. The main question is... would you rather feel (Wii Gameplay & Controls) like you're in the real WAR environment, or would you rather it look (PS3 & Xbox Graphics) like you're in the real WAR environment. For this reason, as in for other games like Madden, DBZ, etc... is why I choose Wii.

Fun singleplayer, NO multiplayer

This game is actually a lot better then I thought it would be. However, be warned that there is NO multiplayer whatsoever, off or online. I keep seeing companies advertise it as having multiplayer but it really doens't. It would be nice if the game actually did include it, but the developer said it will not be added in the future. I wish companies would stop saying it includes it when it doesn't, because it's false advertisement and I bought it under false pretense because of such.

VERY fun! If you like PC first person shooters, this is for you!

I never cared too much for the Call of Duty games on the PS2 and Xbox, since I always played first person shooter games on the PC. I just prefer the mouse and keyboard combination way more than the dual analog joysticks on my Playstation controller.
I am now going back to console FPS games thanks to the Wii. Using the point feature on the Wiimote is almost as good as playing on the PC. It's not quite the same sensation, but it is pretty close. It takes a little getting used to, but after a day you won't want to go back to your xbox/playstation controllers.
The graphics on the Wii look GREAT! True, they aren't as good as the PS3/Xbox360 versions of the game, but that really doesn't matter too much. The gameplay is much more involving and FUN! That's what games are supposed to be right? Would you rather have a FUN game that looks good or a mediocre game that looks GREAT? The Wii wins, hands down. I prefer this version over the PS3 and Xbox360 versions. There's no comparison.

PS. I noticed the planting bombs action with the Wiimote is a little touchy. I think I figured it out though. When you place a bomb, hold the nunchuck straight and move to the right quickly. It may take a few tries, but it eventually works. Then, go around in a circle to arm it. Then, when it comes time to take out the pin, point the wiimote and the nunchuck at each other and then pull them apart from each other. It works fine. Other than this, the game is nearly perfect. Too bad there is no multiplayer yet :(

First person shooter done right

The controls for this game are super tight. The trouble is getting used to it. In a Xbox 360 game, you get shot at, you react, but the reaction is so slow it doesn't matter. Here, you move the wii mote too much, you're looking at the sky. But once you get used to it, you never go back. It's tons of fun. I recomend it. Just wish there was some real good multiplayer. Maybe next time.

Call of Duty 3 definitaly isn't what I thought it would be. The controls using the Wiimote are very difficult. Your arm will get very sore from holding your hand up in the air, and if you decide to put your arm down for about 1 second, the camera goes crazy. Call of Duty 3 does feature some cool content though. Somtimes enemy soldiers will hide around a wall or door and wait for you. They'll either attempt to stab you or hit you with the butt of their rifles. Using the Wiimote and Nunchuck to shove them off and hit them with your rifle was a cool idea, but gets annoying through the game. In all Call Of Duty 3 doesnt Dissapoint, or impress.

Confusing controls really distract from the game

The melee portions of this game are very difficult to get past and are an extremely frustrating part of the game. So far I have been trying to get
past the melee part of chapter 1 and have been unable to do so, despite reading the hints I have found on the web. And the instructions in the game itself are useless. I regret buying this game, it more frustrating than fun.

FUN, FUN, FUN, FUN!

This game is really fun. Its hard at times but can be very fun. the controls are okay and sometimes if you hold the nunchuck and the wiimote close together or in a wierd position your character starts to walk slow. This game is based off of real battles. If you watch the interviews then they tell you about their experiences. One of the things call of duty has never done is have the whole game in one campaign and theres new teams. The Polish and the Canadiens. I think this is the best call of duty console game. In this game you can't be the Russains which stinks. And all the groups are connected in the story. I say get this game!

I have not done many first person shooter games since DOOM and Quake for the PC, and I have not played many console games (besides Halo at my brother-in-law's house). Bearing in mind I haven't played many console games, I have enjoyed COD3 a lot. The game has enough variety and is challenging enough to maintain my interest. The controls are fairly easy to learn, and controling jeeps and tanks, etc. is fun.

You are in a maze of twisty passages

I've played this game for about 2 hours and I don't think I'll put it in again. I'm used to PC FPS games. I didn't think this one would compare to Battlefield 2, but I thought that it would at least compare to a game like Battlefield 1942 which is several years old. This game is not even close.

See all that beautiful scenery? Well, it's just a picture and the game reminds you of that over and over again. Every objective is an invisible maze decorated with trees and walls and all kinds of detritus. Anything from a board on the ground to a brick wall has basically the same effect of being a smooth, invisible barrier. It wouldn't be so bad if the herding was done well, but in several cases I found myself hunting around for the scripted way out of a house or bunker or walled courtyard.

The cut scenes are painful in the extreme and they keep making you watch them everytime you cold start the game. This is true even if you're on the last checkpoint of a level. I think that the point might actually have been to sacrifice game play for the story.

It does serve as a reminder to never ever buy a game sight unseen. I can't believe the number of people who've recommended this game to me. Even if the gameplay were fantastic the lack of multiplayer and no skirmish mode would kill any long-term value that it had. Rent it first, you might get my copy.
