Great!!!!

This is a great golf game. Great gameplay and graphics and every character (there are 10) has a different story and there are a bunch of caddies to choose from too. The only reason I gave it a 4 is because I think Hot Shots Golf 3 is much better.

FUN FUN FUN

The graphics on Swing Away Golf are better than any other golf game that I have ever seen! Buy this game, and you'll have a blast!

This is an excellent game that serves up great competition, the courses are great, and the player animation is great. This is definately a must buy. The caddie, and opponent talking is not that annoying, and they don't talk that much. I bought this game a month ago and still really enjoy playing the story mode which takes you through the golfers experiences. This is an excellent game, and that is why I gave it 5 STARS!!!

Hot shots style on PS2

If you enjoyed Hotshots golf on the psx then you should enjoy Swing away golf. They are very similar in style and gameplay. The game is VERY easy to learn, certainly no harder than Hotshots was. The load times are not excessive, but they are there and that is a little disappointing. The caddies are a massive pain in the butt. But instead of turning the sound down and putting on the stero, why not just go into the options menu and turn narration off? I had several people tell me that the caddies were always there. I don't know maybe they didn't look in the options menu.

If you are looking for a very serious golf game then look elsewhere. This game is certainly not serious. It is anime characters playing golf. If you like Hotshots or want to just joke around with your friends, then this game would be well worth it. 4 player mode can be a blast with some friends and beer. Worth the cash.

This is a highly addictive game. I've never been much of a golf fan but was after getting this game, I was hooked. The graphics are great, everything is in 3D including the trees (which all sway realistically in the breeze) to the spectators who actually move while you are playing.. the clouds also move across the sky and every now and then you get a rain storm which means you have to play one hole under darkened skies and lashing rain. Deepening the game's replay value, success in competition modes can unlock a variety of secrets, such as new clubs, hidden players, more courses, skill points, and extra game modes.

I'm hopelessly addicted to this game.

This is one great game. I wasn't gonna buy this game because I really wanted the upcoming PS2 Tiger woods 2001 pga tour golf--but that won't be out till Feb or March of 2001. So, I bought this and I haven't regretted it. I spent the most time playing this game because its very enjoyable. Graphics and gameplay are par excellent. This game is way better than any thing that the computers have come out with (I have Tiger 99 for the pc and Swing Away Golf plays much better). It comes with seven courses you can play on. Initially when I played the game, the first course wasn't as impresive as I wanted it, but as you progress, more courses come up that are very impressive. GET THIS GAME---YOU WON'T REGRET IT.

My girlfriend loves it. It's probably what keeps her from leaving me because I'm stuck to my PS2 during "QT" moments. Guys, get this game and sit the little lady down and she won't hate that little box under the TV so much anymore.

this game rocks

I am sorry but, I thought this title was terrible! It did not take long to adjust to the fact that you have to hit an extra half of club for the distance given. The putting was way to easy. If it was a straight putt and you never flunked second grade math you are going to make every putt. The putts that had any break you could take out with aiming a tad outside the cup and give the putt a little more juice. I scored 68 and 59 in my first two rounds. The major problem with this title is that you have to play with a computer player during tournament play. There might be a way to turn that option off, but I never found it. It took almost an hour and twenty minutes to play a round of golf. Normally a person can wip around the course in thirty minutes. I wanted to give this title a chance, but I could not invest all the time it would take to take a player to the championship.
