This game really mesmarized me with the stunning graphics. The Home City takes a while to juggle in, but once you understand it ti can be very helpful. In the game you must set a goal a head of you and pursue it until you have the resources. For me, everything in Age of Empires II: Age of Kings was too similiar, the nations wre almost exactly the same. The variety in this game is amazing, no two nation the same. The campaign has also improved from controlling some troops and fighting samll battles to amazing and intacite games where battle is not the only road to victory. My one dissapointment was that you could not play as the native americans or wage war against them as there own nation, not just allies of more important European nations. This game is up to standards on graphics and able to compete with games like Rome: Total War, Empire Earth, and Warcraft. It is not like any Age of Empires before it. It's a new breed.

I haven't been able to play the game yet, but i know and want to make sure you do not make the same mistake as i have done.
I purchased this game second hand (used), but just found out that if the person that first bought have registered to play online, i won't be able to register myself.
The best of this game is to play online. It also means that if any of your family members want to play this game, they will have to use your same username.

I suppose it will take me longer to get a working copy of this game. Heck, i have been waiting over 4 years for this game!!
For that i'm giving 4 stars!!

the british are the most fun in the game and can kick the spanishes ass 10 out of 10 times

Sure this is a great game to play and enjoy. Yet even with SIX (6) patches, i still CANNOT play online!! Oh wait, let me call tech support, because that get me NOWHERE! Thanks Microsoft, thanks so much. Not only will i never purchase another product from you. Im switching to linux. Your beat!

This game blows chunks. It's awful. I'm going back to Age of Mythology. Stay away from AOE3.

This is an excellent game. It has a few areas that aren't so great. Visual and sound are great.
Pros:
-No strategy,bah, maybe if your playing the lower difficulty levels, but on higher difficulty it takes a lot of strategy to win.
-Games have a long playing time on higher difficulties if your good.
Cons
-No more huge maps from previous AOE games.
-Campaign story seems like it belongs in the AOE 2 Conquerer's Expansion game. I expected somethin more like the American Revolution or The French and Indian War.
This is the most beautiful strategy game in the world.
