THIS GAME IS SO COOL THAT MADE ME CALL MY BOSS THAT I WAS REALLY SICK FOR 3 DAYS COULD YOU BELIEVE THAT 3 DAYS PLAYING HALF LIFE AND I STILL HAVEN FINISH IT ITS SO LONGWELL YOU START AS A SCIENTIST SUDDENLY AN EXPLOSION OCCURS WHAT WHY IAM TELLING ALL THIS JUST BUY THE GAME TRUST ME THIS IS THE GAME THAT MAKE YOU BUY YOUR PLAYSTATION 2 .THIS GAME ITS SO REALISTIC THAT YOU COULD EVEN SAVE OTHERS WITH USING CPR WOW THAT IS MY BEST PART OF THE GAME,,,,HALF LIFE MAKES RED FACTION A N64 LOOK LIKE GO GET YOUR COPIE NOW PLEASE GET NOW ENJOY I PROMISE IT WELL GET YOU ADICTED ON FPS GAMES LIKE I DID.

this game has to be among the worst games out for the PS2. i rented it because i had heard that it was a good game, but i was heavily disappointed. the graphics are about the same as many N64 games. i have read other reviews of this game praising it, but please do not ignore this review. if you really want this game, you should rent it first. you'll see what i mean. the saddest part about this game is that you cant even see your gun. another thing is that the head to head mode levels are incredibly small. i thought this would be a good game, and i am glad i rented it first.

This game is the best first person shooter....ever.
I love this game because it has awsome graphics, awsome gameplay, and awsome online stuff. I haven't played it for PS2 yet but from the previews i've seen the game looks like it will be a big big hit. Since i don't have the internet I can't play TF or just plain Half life death match. So i can only amagine the game play with friends or with the i-link cable...ohhhhh it's givin me the shivers just thinkin about it. And co-op wow thats the fun'ness right there my friends. Get it!!!!!

This game is awesome. I bought it not sure if I wanted it, or twisted metal black. After playing both, I knew I had made the right desicion. Just have fun. It's hard not to!

You hafta get this game. i have played a lot of games in my life and this game is by far the best the graphics are awesome and the overall gameplay rocks. this game is probably better than grand theft auto three

Half-life is one of the most best first person shooting all time. its also a popular online game. ... its the best and the loading between the gameplay is only because there is not enough memory for the game to loading everyhing at once. after all its a big game. the other mods of half-life like counter-strike and opposing force is even more popular. they should seriously add Half-life Counter-strike.

As most people know this game was originaly on PC. It has been one of the best selling games for PC ever. However the Half Life game for PS2 does not feel right. If you can get used to the controls then you will love this game, like I do. But if you have played the PC version and are not used to the PS2 style controlls then you will not like this game. I have played Half Life ever since it first came around, and I have thought of it as one of the greatest step in PC gaming history. Basically they took the PC version of the game, inhanced the graphics, added a new 2 player co-op mode, messed with the controlls, and gave it a lot of hype. I would suggest renting this game before you buy, because as most first person shooters you can beat the main game pretty quickly. But if you are a hard core Half Life fan then I highly suggest you buy this game. If you don't like the feel of the controller just buy the Shark Board (or USB keyboard for the PS2) and a mouse and use them if you are used to the PC style buttons.

This game is so awesome. Futuring enhanced more advanced graphics and animations compared to the PC version, incredible game-play, intelligent AI, extordinary realism, an new cooperative add-on, Half-Life: Decay, immersively realistic audio, and more, Half-Life for the PS2 is truly an amazing experience. That's why it deserves at least five stars.

As most people have heard by now, Half-Life is one of those "God Like" games. I like to argue with a lot of claims like that because most are so far fetched and so far off base that it actually makes me crindge a little (*cough* Killzone being a "Halo Killer *cough*). That and all the flames that will come from it aside, lets get to the point. Half-Life not only lives up to it's hype, but it surpasses it. Especially since back in the day when the PC version first came out, there wasnt any hype for it! This game though is amazing, it's extremely entertaining and easily soaked up more of my childhood then sleeping did. This game actually fueled my love for the gaming industry and is what has me making videogames today.

This game has a great story. The only reason anyone would claim it's story is medicore is because they leave you hanging and refuse to easily explain the exsistance of Gman who is a mysterous character that shows up periodically throughout the game.

The graphics by today's standards are obviously poor. By the standards of 1998 they are fantastic. If you can sit down and play Final Fantasy on your DS, or on your GBA, or even on your playstation and tolerate it then you should be able to tolerate the graphics on this. I realize thats an odd comparison. One would ask "Why compare oldschool 2D sprites to oldschool 3D?" Well that's actually kind of simple. Each game represents the best they could possibly do with the technology given at the time. If you can sit down and play new releases of an old game or call yourself a fan of oldschool games then to you these graphics should be awesome. I appreciate older games, they remind me of how far we have come and a better time when games required more imagination then processor power.

This game is the package, the entire package. To pass up this game is to deny a turning point in gaming. If you already own this game, then purchase the second one. If you own that then you should be playing it instead of reading this.

This is one of the best PS2 games ever made. I have beat both the computer version and PS2 version, so I can tell you there is only a very slight difference between the two. The graphics and game play are excellent. You also get a lot of game for your buck, it's one of the longer games out there. This game has been out for a while, but it is still one of the best there is. Diffenetly worth adding to your Ps2 collection!
