Wild Arms 2: 2nd Ignition is one of my favorite game after the Final Fantasy series. I've played half of the game ( japanese version ) and from what I saw everything look great, although I don't understand the language but I can tell you that WA2:2I has a great storyline and they also feature lots of new additions, Like you can name all the characters that are involved in this game, that's crazy with over 20 characters and you get to name them one by one. This RPG also improves a lot from the first Wild Arms. Everything is in 3D now except for the characters. This is also one of the game that you have to twist your brain to solve the puzzle aside from the Alundra series. By far this is the most beautiful RPG I've played after final Fantasy series and Chrono Trigger. I recommend this game to all those hardcore RPG gamer & get ready to solve all those great puzzles.

Wild Arms 2 in my opinion was an overall great role playing game that I really enjoyed. I've played lots of other RPG's but this one is one the best i"ve plyed in a while. Its battle system is easy to catch on to just like any other RPG such as Final Fantasy 8 or the first WILD ARMS game. This game also has some great characters the each have some cool special abilities that seperate them from each other. WILD ARMS 2 also has a great story line to compete with all the other well known RPG's out these days. And thats my review of WILD ARMS 2.
An above average RPG title

Wonderful graphics, A few puzzles, some interesting battle methods and quite importantly the ability to have the computer auto-fight against those annoyingly weak but ever present 1st level monsters that show up in any game to annoy an umpteenth level super power.
Awesome Sequel

Wild Arms 1 was one of my favorite games ever, its what got me interested in buying a playstation instead of a 64, (and boy am I glad I did that) This game is just as good as its predecessor. For those of you who played part 1, there will be some items that will bring back memories, dream wand, toy hammer, heal berry, and many others. There are also arms, but what I didn't like is that there is no fast-draw techniques. My favorite part of the game is the exploration. Many people complain about it but I love it. You walk around and someone gives you directions on which way to go, then you hit square and a little radar comes up, and when the radar hits the town, it appears(you can't see the towns until it radars) This makes exploring more fun. Really the only complaint I had, was its too easy, I can kill every normal enemy in one hit with the guys, then I can just use non-stop magic with the girl. I highly recommend this game.
Awesome Game

I bought this game because I really liked Wild Arms 1 and had figured that sony would keep a good thing going. I'm not disapointed. You can set the difficulty in this game very early on. If you use skill points for HP recovery skills you can go the entire game without using an inn once. If you want it to be harder, you can not invest in any skills and keep it challenging. Even though dungeons are have typicly easy random battles, the puzzles can be very confusing. I spent over an hour in one room because I couldn't figure out a password that was just to the left of my character. Although the story rotates around Ashley, each character builds up depth. I spent tons of time going back to towns hoping for more information about characters. Each character also has their own idividual talents. For example, without Tim, you can't use a single guardian. I could go on and on, but I'd rather you just bought this game and decided for yourself.

I've heard many things about the first game so I doubted the purchase of the second one. But I did, and boy, I wasn't sorry for it. At first I was because I had just finished Final Fantasy 8! So this isn't really big for people that are just in it for graphics. As I played the game more in depth I really started to enjoy it. The games has many sub plots and such but it all ends up in the same dirrection much like Final Fantasy. The story line revolves around 3 main characters. Ashley, the equivalent of Cloud but not so much macho bull crap, Lilka, who is the equivalent to Vivi from FF9 (Go Mage ^_^), and Brad, a former war hero much like Sephiroth without all the creepy mako stuff.
The more I played into the game the more I appreciated the way that the creators mapped things out. Though the system of travel wasn't greatly appreciated. On foot though was a new experience. Out in the world you could battle much like final Fantasy but this had an added twist. When you might enter a battle a small exclamation point formed. Occasionally you can resist battles completely, which is a major plus considering eventually you get tired of fighting. This game is a major bonus to any serious RPers looking for a good thick juicy plot line splashed with a few bits of comedy and the ever present rejected love lives.

The ARMS are back-only this time they are more common than before. The game is set several centuries into the future from the first, and the old technology is popping up everywhere. You start with the three same type of characters as the first: a jack of all trades, a strong man, and a physically weak sorceress. As the game progresses, you pick up three additional characters, all very well developed with good abilities of their own. Sony didn't monkey with the combat system much, but they did add some cool new attack features (for instance, your main character can turn into a demon knight and do some serious damage). There are more puzzles than I remember from the first game, but not anything annoying, even if your not a big puzzle fan. The story develops nicely, with twists and turns and strange events that leave you guessing, all the while maintaining that tough story/action balance. Five stars all the way!
Not as breathtaking as the original, but i still love it!

I bought this game the day it was released, which was a very long time ago. I am not sure why I am reviewing this game now, but it might have something to do with the fact that I am playing it again, and am almost done with it.
Pros: Putting this as simple as possible, this game is by far one of the most "interesting" rpg's I have ever played...right behind Vagrant Story. The cinematic videos in this game are wonderful, and are fun to watch. There are six characters to choose from and play with throught the game, instead of just three from the original. On top of that, you get to play with one of the guardians, the gardian of desire, in one part of the game. In part one, there was a story about the blade of disaster, and the legendary sword maggess, and in this game, you get to actually use her for a short period. This game has alot of history and story in it. The game time to finish, is around 35 to 40 hours, if you rush through it. You will generally finish at about level 47 with your main character. If you want to finish the game, beating everything and leveling up completely, you will be at 99 hours plus, and will take you such a long time, that you probably will not want to finish it that way. This gives alot of diversity to the gamers...it just depends on what type of gamer you are. The new battle system dealing with Fighting Points(FP), is unique, and never been tried before in any game. And, all the characters specialize in such unique techiniques, it will be hard to choose who your main party of three will be.
Cons: The graphics dealing with the world have been lessened from the original. The music is not as breathtaking as the original, but still good. And, the puzzles are not nearly as hard as the first game. In the original Wild Arms, there was a place called, De Le Metalica, and within this place, the puzzles were so hard, you wanted to quit before finishing it. In this game, there are a few hard puzzles, and a couple impossible ones, but the only way to get to them, is to go out of your way, and spend time working on things that are not required to beat the game. To find hidden bosses..etc.
Overall, this game is wonderful. I am about 10 hours away from beating this game with everything done. I am at level 97 and all my characters are incredibly high in power. When I finish this task, I am open to any questions about the game, anyone has. I have found many things that the strategy guides don't have. (The only reason I am using one...is because I have already beat this game about 15 times) I won't help you unless you are really stuck. :) ENJOY!!!
The only RPG to get my attention

This is the most fun and only RPG game I've ever played. Though clearly not the best game, it is very fun with a good storyline, music (although it's kind of repetitive) and gameplay. Many people claim this game has bad graphics but at least the towns and dungeons are perfectly put. And graphics don't mean everything. You start off as a GunWarrior, CrestSorceress or Deserter. According to a plan of a Nobleman, you all meet and form a group known as ARMS (Agile Remote Mission Squad). You battle terrorists and a coming, nearly indestructible threat to save the world. There are maybe a whole lot of talking scenes to this game, but I believe talking scenes are a good way to get involved with the characters and feel the depth of the game. The missions, finding new members (total of 6), and combat is fun and enjoyable. This game is especially great for patient people because your destinations can be challenging but not in a way you want to stop playing the game. Overall, I would give Wild Arms 2: 2nd Ignition a total of 4 and a half stars for giving an experience I can never forget.
P.S. There's also an excellent twist at the end of the game, but I don't like to give up surprises.
