Don't turn out the lights...

I believe this game attracted the attention to the horror-rpg genre so that there is now a number of games who have similiar elements and have improved here and there.. but this one started the ball rolling.

**Warning: it has lots of blood, walking zombies oozing who knows what, gun violence, mangled corpses, horribly disfigured "things", and so on..

And I loved every moment of it.

There are some definite improvements from the original (walking up stairs/ going through doors/etc. much faster). It is less cheesy or B-movie -ish than the first one; moving more into a serious horror (though NOwhere near as scary as Silent Hill) flick.

This game will definitely suck you in. Actually, if you really want to get into it, turn off all the lights, shut the blinds, lock the doors, and for goodness sakes don't let anyone/thing sneak up on you while you're playing because you will come close to peeing your pants, I promise.

Suspenseful, great story (different for each of the characters), lots of weapons, tons of spooks..some which sneak up on you like the good badies they are, puzzle-situations which you actually need a few brain cells to figure out... and it goes without saying: this is a great classic.

Get it, you won't regret it. I highly recommend it. (If it wasn't so good, why would they be coming out with another one for PSX & DC???)

It is a sweat game. It may have quite a bit of gore but if you don't care how violent it is you will get addicted.

This is one of my favorite games. It has awesome graphics and the monsters(zombies,rabid dogs,and giant spiders to name a few)are really awesome.You get awesome guns and explosives but the game is really creepy as you go through abandoned buildings and don't know what's around the next corner.I'd recomend this game alot.

RE2 scared the pants off me. the spooky music and great graphics draws you into the game. the story line is great and there are alot of surprizes around every corner of the police headquarters. Its a great sequel to RE and it is much better. Everyone will love the main characters and the puzzles will leave you stumped for hours. Plus the hidden secrets throughout the game makes an excellent replay value on the game. Also the high (and low) powered weapons scattered thoughout the game really make destroying zombies fun. Buy it for a good scare.

This has to be the best game ever made for the Playstation! Not only does it freak you out around every corner, but it has puzzles that require thinking a bit. It's a defenite must-have for anybody that likes scary movies/games. WARNING: This game has a Mature (17 years+) rating due to heavy violence, gore, and storyline. I defenitely reccomend it all the same, because everybody loves a good scare, right? And this is the scariest game by far.

Though quite long the game doesn't get boring after a while like many others because you basicly never get tired of blowing away those zombies, and even if you do the whole game is like a big story that keeps you coming back to figure out. The controls are a little hard to get the hang of, but after you do it's a lot more fun to play. Also, the game is very difficult and contains many secrets which you probably won't be able to all of with out a stratagy guide. This game is one of my favorits and I recomend it to anyone looking for a challenge.

Well, lets see judging from me jumping out of my seat and pulling the controller out of its socket becouse of the suspense, Id say its the best game ive ever played, from detailed environments to the controll (it may take a while to get used to but after you get the hang of it its awesome) I think any playstation owner should buy this becouse you will regret you misses it if you didnt, I mean Blowing of zombies heads was never so much fun!!!!!!!!

This is one of the best games in the world of all games. It contains equal parts suspense, drama,actionl, and puzzle solving. Although the game is rather short and the bosses are not that hard it comes off as one of the greatest games out there.At least until RE(resident evil)III "Nemisis" comes out.

A must have for any Playstation owner who's looking for a good action title. Even with its minor draw-backs (like the controls, and the camera angles could get bad at times), you will still have a blast trying to figure out what's the new virus that is spreading through Racoon City. Even if you don't like action games, at least try renting it, I'm sure it will change your mind.

Although the killing becomes repetitive, the puzzles and clues along the way keep this game from becoming boring. When the 30 seconds film strips start to play, I forget I'm in a game and not in a movie. Also made my heart pound a little faster ever-so-often....
