The best resident evil

4 Rating: 4, Useful: 1 / 1

This is the best survival horror game in existence! This game is great. It has an intriguing B-movie horror story that is really very entertaining. The graphics and soundtrack are great and are very moody. The controls are like all other survival horror games; easy to use once you learn them. The ability to play as two different characters and play through the horror in two different perspectives through the zapping system really makes the experiance greater. The monsters and bosses are also breathtaking. This is a must-own game that every playstation owner should own!

Not so much fun after awhile.

I loved this game when i first played it. It has many puzzles and frustrating stuff that you have to get away from because of how hard they are. It took me 10 hours to beat the game just because the puzzle solving is very hard on normal mode. You can play an arrange game where you have unlimited ammo for a sub machine gun which is cheating but is part of the game when you first turn it on. This game is fun and challanging the first few plays with whatever character, (You can be Claire Redfield or Leon Kennedy.) but it will be a bore when you finish it.

This is the best game I have ever played. It is extremly gory and is not for kids under 17, but I played it anyway. The graphics are very good for such an old game. The storyline is confusing if you didnt play the first one. I have the first one, and my brother read Resident Evil: 1 book. It isnt hard to beat. The Infinite Ammo code helps alot. That is why I love this game.

Residant Evil 2 Review

Residant Evil 2 is fun. I'm not sure what the PS2 version is like or if there even is a PS2 version but the PS1 one is fun but I don't see why it is rated M if the blood is so unrealistic and there isn't even much gore.

Izo-Zombies galore and loads of scares and gore

I'am from the U.K. so there might be some differences between the U.S.A. and U.K. version. (That I don't know). This game is an excellent horror flick with a surprisingly good plot which is optional because there are two different story lines one is for Claire Redfield the other is Leon S.Kennedy. Their charactors are different thus their personal goals are as well. The starting sequence talks about Resident Evil 1 and how Umbrella Corp created the T-Virus which was for bio technology which mutated humans into zombies. With simply using still or moving images this is a good way of back tracking thus getting you started for the game itself.

There are to seperate sequences for both Claire and Leon which mould into one when they meet each other.Through out this game these sequences are of a high quality, even better most probably on the P.C. version. They grip the player by using the techniques of music, sound-effects and good voice acting.

Within the game they create terror and unnerve the player by using music and also the sounds and movements of the creatures and zombies. The deranged "camera" angles around corners and angles even so its harder to kill your enemy. The dingy music and back/fore ground play the part mostly of unnerving the player.

The simple scares which make you jump even for a split secound can put you off the game.

The story un folds slowly as you are picking up puzzles to get to next section of the game.each charactor meets a "mystery" person Claire meets a little 12 year-old girl called Sherry Birkin. While Leon meets a woman called Ada Wong. (This is later in the game depnding on how fast you are.) This might give a sense of achievment to the player for getting this far.The story unfolds about a another monster stalking the police station. This I will leave as it would be telling to much.

Overall this game is brilliant relying on scares, gore and a good story line it'll either scare you. Please you or in some cases bore you. But! This game should be accounted for as one of the best horror game sequals of all time!

P.S. These examples are for gamers playing this for the first time. The fear factor depends on thr personality as well as being experienced.

I love playing this game on my PS2. I'm not even going to get the gamecube version because it's exactly the same as the good old PSone version. Very entertaining and mysterious.

While a tab worse graphics than RE3 Nemesis this game's storyline is better. Also if your thinking of buying RE3:Dual Shock or Greatest Hits get this one. This one has a new mode-Rookie Mode that lets you play and if you are a rookie you can practice in rookie mode to get and start out with guns in the real mode. I have RE1,2,3 and Veronica along with Survior and by a short not with RE3 this one is better than them all. RE3 may look better but when you fighting in the middist of battle do you really care if the zombies have 200 different shades of gray? Also in RE3 You have to wait a long time to get another charector in RE2 you choose straight at the begining. A list of my ranks: Graphics:B+ Sound:A- Gameplay:A Plot:A+ Get thiss game!

I first owned this game when it first came out but sold it to buy a text book. Now I am out of college and I wanted to rebuild my collection for the playstation, so I got a new copy from Amazon.com. The cool part about ordering from Amazon was that it was a new copy with the seal in tact. Ok, I don't have much to add to other comments about the game except that it will keep you busy trying to survive. There are three modes of play: hard, easy and arrange. And four missions, two for each character. Also
the hunk, Tofu, and extreme battle missions which you have to earn. So this game has value for the adult player. To me it is a collectable. I almost didn't break the seal when the UPS guy came but I had to play it. With the movie coming out I expect the game to be a hot item, so if game collecting and playing is your thing grab this one. One final thing, though, this game is playstation 1 and if used with the playstation 2 has a long load rate and can even freeze up during in game cinematics. If it does freeze up on PS2 just open the tray and close it again and the game will resume. If this game is used with a cheat utility it will freeze up somewhere every time. All in all this game is a classic and a must have item for adult gamers.

Want to see blood and zombie guts?

Now THIS is how you're supposed to enjoy blowing through a bloody, violent game! Blood squirting from moaning zombie bodies. It's so strange and relaxing to experience this. I know you will laugh at what I am about to tell you, but I never bothered with this game when it first came out. Yeah, I know, I lost many friends because of this. I ignored this game in 1998, and my level of coolness went right down the tubes. I had to fail math and pretend to smoke cigars to fit back in with my classmates again.

Children shouldn't play this game. If you think it's ok for children to see the two main characters in this game shoot and fry their way through the police station then you might not be a reasonable person. Yes that's right: you can walk through a police station in this game. If in real life you have a problem with the way cops sit in a field and watch over you to make sure you have your seat belt on (and not one of those cases where you pretend to put the seat belt on until the cop is out of view and then take it off again) you now have a place to take out your frustrations- Resident Evil 2.

The weapons in this game are realistically cool. I like pulling out the magnum and shooting zombies in the head and watching their heads blow to pieces. Don't try this at home, but do try this on your Playstation. The magnum doesn't make much noise so you wouldn't think it'd be such a bad-ass weapon, but you can shoot at the head of a zombie and watch his head quietly blow to smithereens. You know you shouldn't do that in real life though, right? You'd go to jail for a very long time. And if you tried to explain to the police that you were shooting at zombies, you'd only get laughed at by the entire court room. Use your head.

If this game doesn't satisfy your sick animal-like needs, then try looking for the fire blaster thing. You can cook zombies with this. It's near the end of the game hidden in a locker. Go near the locker and press the X button, and it will open and you will say "sweet".

In this game you have two CD's. One CD is for the Leon adventure, and the other CD is for the Claire adventure. You can choose to start the game with either Leon or Claire. To do the game completely you have to beat the game twice with Leon and twice with Claire. I've only ever played this game on easy and I had a blast. I'm sure on normal it's quite harder, maybe so hard you can't think straight and become dumb. Of course you aren't dumb, it's just that video games can confuse you sometimes.

Man I'm tired. But I'm never too tired to take a couple hours from my easy-going day and blasting my way through this super cool game. The only downside is that you can't skip the cutscenes. That's fine at first, when you want to listen closely to the story (even though I didn't) but after a while you really wish Capcom would have put a skip button on this thing.

Still, great game. It's old, but please don't be one of those people who thinks that just because something is old it's not good. I've been around people who think like that and they just ain't cool. Sure, these people get all the girls and all the friends, but what else? What's "in" sucks, and what's old is cool. You think I'm wrong? Good for you. Buy this game used for 10 dollars today.

this game is the greatest!
