This is a HARD game!!

When I saw previews for this game, I knew that I was going to have to get it. Turns out that the game really is as good as I thought it would be, only about 10 times as hard! I have never died in ANY game as much as I have in this one. one of the bad things about the game is that there is no way to heal yourself, you just get healed when you get to certain points. The other bad thing is the loading time when you continue after dying. The inventory is very hard to work with also, it takes a lot to get used to. The graphics in the game are great and the cut scenes are like watching a cartoon.You need to have a lot of patience to play this game but it is pretty fun.

BETTER THAN MGS1 , BETTER THAN MANY OF THE SILLY GAMES ON THE PS2

THE STORY IS EXCELLENT ALSO THE ART OF THE GAME , IT JUST HAVE SOME PROBLEMS LIKE - TOO MANY PUZZLES TO SOLVE .

THE BEST EVER GAME , BUY IT .

Fear Effect is a fun game that is challenging and quite good value for just $10. The game is sometimes very tricky though. Some puzzles go beyond hard as the game progresses. The bosses and enemies are already hard in the first levels. The game goes by pretty quick even with the challenge though. Buy this game if you want a good animated action game that will leave you wanting to play Fear Effect 2.

I just started playing this game and I like it. I don't like these reviews that say the replay value is bad. It makes me not really want to play the game because replaying the game has been one of my favorite things about the Resident Evil series.

The one thing that grabs your attention right away in Fear Effect, is how good the game looks. The graphics are incredibe, giving the game a movie like feel. But that's all the game is, a interactive movie. There is too much of the game dedicated to the graphic elements, then there are to actual gameplay. It's good to have a very detailed story, and this game has that, but there needs to be more then four stages. There is one major flaw in this game, the game is too damn hard. Even on normal, some of the bosses are so damn tricky that you spend hours reloading your game and taking another crack at him.

I just got this game for Christmas along with a PSone. I really think that the game is great. However I have found it quite frustrating also. The game is alot of fun and has a realistic feel, but somethings about the game are just plain frustrating. I found this site on accident looking for codes but I decided to review this game anyway.

Yes, it's hard, but it's fun!!

Don't let those negative reviews fool you, this is a good, addicting game, worthy of the stars I gave it. It's difficult, but gets easier when you realize it can't be played as a straight action game, but more as a strategy game, stick to it past the beginning and you will enjoy the game I think. Learn to use the way the figures move, learn to always keep loading your guns, and man, save your game as much as possible, even if it means backtracking. People complain about having to learn how approach this game by dying too much, but personally it just added to the challenge. I can tell you from experience that when you get through a tough fight using your wits, not just fast thumbs, it feels pretty good. Can you keep your heart rate green? Who knows.....but it's fun trying. This game is not for kids under 16 years old in my opinion, so if you're a parent, get it for yourself, not your kids.

Make no mistake about it, this game is a clone of Capcom's Resident Evil series. If you enjoyed the RE's then you will likely enjoy Fear Effect as well.

Like RE, Fear Effect employs the same character relative control scheme. It takes some time to get used to and really is a major obstacle for certain parts of the game. The control scheme and the length (really short despite being 4 CDs) of the game are the only real drawbacks.

But the originality of the look and style of the game more than make up for any of its shortcomings. Some compare the graphics to anime. And while the game is in an Asian setting, I find the graphics remind me more of Batman the animated series. Couple the great graphics with an intriguing story and perhaps the most appropriate voice acting i've heard in a game, and Fear Effect is a thoroughly enjoyable experience.

This game is very intertaining, but a little short.

I loved this game! The plot is very interesting and the game play rocks. The game surprises you at the end with what happens to the three characters you play with. You choose what happens......This game is a resident evil type game, but it doesnt really freak you out. Its more of a "wow that was cool, while you stare in amazement" type of game. My only real gripe about this game is that it is a little too short. But who am i kidding, all games have to end some time. Over all this is a good decision in a game to purchase.

Fear Effect is a great game and I was proud to see an actual MATURE game complete with a little bit of nudity (Hana) some cussing (Hana,Glas) and some really interesting plot twists I was very sad at the end (To have to choose like that) and the multiple endings are great! The bad part are the controls choosing weapons during the fights stink! Another thing is by the middle of the 2nd disc i was out of ammo I beat the game with codes and I wasn't dissapointed one bit! Great game!
