Worth every STAR! BEST CHALLENGE EVER!

First off, I would like to start off by stating that I have not completed Turok E. yet. I have just rescued the Great father in chapter 5 and completed the level. And that alone was one HECK of a challenge.

I cannot believe some of the bad reviews on this game? This game thus far has been THE MOST challenging FPS that I have played to date. MOH and Max Paine, 007 AUF, don't even compare to Turok Evolution.

The graphics are VERY GOOD, the AI in the game, starts off slow. But, I believe that this is the way the developer wanted it. You will notice the increase in the AI starting in chapter 3. And believe me by chapter 5 you WILL SEE a dramatic change in the AI.

You should definitely take these reviews of renting the game and returning it the same day because it was poor, with a grain of salt. I was a renter of this game and could'nt put it down. Two days after I returned the rental, I went out and purchased the game. This game IS WORTH EVERY DOLLAR!

The controls of this game are relatively easy. Setting horizontal and vertical control speeds, and most importantly the invert look function, to your personal preference. Is the most important function in any FPS game. If you can control the other games mentioned above. You will have NO problem with Turok E. Controlling the flying levels is also very easy. The L1 and L2 buttons also help you turn better. Although I hardly had to use them at all. You should also enjoy the machine gun booster balloons. AWESOME! My feelings are that the flying levels add depth to the game and are a definite quality addition.

You just have got to laugh at the graphic reviews. Some even making comparisions to the N64 and PS1. One word, can clear this up. BULL!

Now let's talk save points. This game saves at the end of EVERY sub-level. Some of the sub-levels are rather lengthy. This probably frustrates some players. Me, on the other hand, LOVE the challenge/action/adventure of this game. Yes, I like getting my MONEY'S WORTH from a game.

I can't comment on the multi-player mode yet because I'm having to much fun with the FPS part of the game.

Turok Evolution sets itself apart from other FPS just from the sheer delight of graphics/adventure and challenge. I find it very hard to get board with this aspect of the game. And I just love the weapons in this game. Sniping with the tek-bow is one of my favorites. Although chapter 5 doesn't allow much time for sniping. If you get my drift? hint: AI will have you thinking major strategy.

I hope you found this review helpful. If you want an experience in a FPS game, and one of the best challenges to date. THIS IS THE GAME!

PS. All other games mentioned I have beaten. So when I say that TUROK E. is a better FPS than them. IT'S THE TRUTH.

I just don't get the negative reviews of this game? Complaints about the graphics and control features, and a game that doesn't present challanges? HUH!

First off the graphics in this game are one of the main reasons that compelled me to keep playing this game. The graphics were like a breathe of fresh air in a FPS.

And how about the comments on the control features. BULL! If you can control games like HOH and Max Paine, you will have NO problem with controlling Turok E. I rented this game for starters. Within the rental period I got the control settings where I was comfortable with the game. Full vertical and horizontal speed controls. And the invert look, which I feel is the most important adjustment in any FPS.

The rental period of this game was a fantastic gaming experience. I found it hard to even put the game down. Being a fan of MOH and Max Paine. Turok Evolution is a better challenge than either of them. And by-the-way, two days after I returned the rental. I purchased Turok Evolution. And it was worth EVERY DOLLAR SPENT!

Give yourself time to master the controls in chapters 1 through 3. Because the AI really starts to kick in on the progressing levels. I'm at the end of chapter 5 right now and you WILL see a BIG difference in the AI from earlier levels. The flying levels are also very COOL! And the controls in the flying level were relatively easy to pick up.

As far as a fun factor, the feeling of adventure, and the sheer challenge of the game. It's been an AWESOME experience thus far. I'm trying to beat this game without using any cheats. As far as I'm concerned, MOH, Max P., and 007 don't even compare to the challenge that awaits you in Turok.

Maybe some don't like the game because it presents too much of a challenge? I can't comment about the multiplayer mode because I have'nt even tried it yet. I'm having to much FUN with the FPS part right now. I don't see me beating this game for awhile yet. Which already makes it worth it's price. Because as an average gamer, I like getting my money's worth out of a game.

I rate Turok as a better buy than any of the previously mentioned games. I own all of them and I have beaten them all. Turok is the BIGGEST BANG for the BUCK! So far.

And I also don't see a problem with save points on this game? It saves at the end of every sub-level. Giving me time to re-think strategy for blowing the brains out of the SLEGS! Gotta LOVE sniping in this game!

although it isnt out yet, the game looks great. Nice graphics, cool guns, and nice environments. As far as gameplay goes, it looks great. The other Turok games were alright, not that great of graphics and gameplay, but now that it is brought to better systems and is upgraded a lot, this game should be great. I love any kind of fps games. I am really looking forward to playing this game. If anyone else is as crazy for fps games as i am, then consider getting this game.

Turok- fun for the whole family ; )

I bought this game for my kids( Game Cube)- and it's great! Four players can hunt each other down using cool weapons, learning strategies & quick thinking. Nothing better than an evening spent w/ the kids(blowing each other apart-Lol), sneaking thru different landscapes, grabbing power-ups, gaining the best sniper postion, and you can even be a spider mine(it is controlled remotely & you can see everything w/ the attached camera) trailing poisonis gas or detonating the embedded charge. You can also loft anti-matter cubes from a safe distance or get right-in-their-face w/ a tomahwak/war club. If anyone knows of a "Part Two" to this game for GameCube- would love to hear about it!

Turok on ps2

For those gamers who only ever played playstation, Turok was one
of the biggest franchises on the n64 and with good reason. Turok
2 was easily one of the best first person shooters on a system
that was home to many a great fps. It was in my opinion the best looking game on the n64 as well...

Just put my preorder in. Judging from what I've read on IGN, Gamespot, Game Informer, etc. I have to say this has the potential to be the FPS of the year. It's also a BIG game according to the previews, so I'm looking forward to getting some quality time in with the over the top turok arsenal.

Turok is better than Halo

And I love Halo! I've been playing Turok for 2 days straight and it really rocks my Xbox. I'm glad I decided to buy and not rent this one. Extremely impressive graphics. Great AI. Super weapons. Turok has it all.

Move over Halo and watch out GTA!!

I've played Halo and Grand Theft Auto, but I am really addicted to this version of Turok!! I give it the full 5 stars!! I haven't touched any other game since I got this one. It is really challenging, fun, and has amazing graphics. The game gets better as you move to higher levels. They really put some detail in this game. When's the next version coming out? Sign me up!!

I think that this game is a exellent game to buy. but maybey it is a smaet idea not to let youngen's play. it is relly cool how you can get the cheats to get every weapon make it so that you can't die and that badies can't see you. it is one of the hardest games that i have ever played in my life. CATION DO NOT PLAY WITH OUT A MEMERY CARD. the flying levels are the hardest of all exept of the last level where you have to kill a t. Rex. i have only succsefly done this once. on the flying levels one of my friends spend's more time loading then playing(not that it is that hard.) First off i have played every turok game except 3 and rage wars but have studied them.right when i put this game in i knew it was the best in the series the graphics,envirments,dinosours and fun factor is incerdible way better than the previos ones for example turok 1 was to hard and turok 2 was to short,but this game improved all that.
