Anywho...like I was saying I also own this game, and I wasn't very impressed. I like the free roaming environment, and the edition of [...] but the game gets boring REALLY fast. AI isn't a challenge AT ALL, so unless you have a buddy to play with or sibbling, you too will be bored with the repetative gameplay. The graphics are slightly better than the first installment. They seemed to tone done the crazy wet look ( thank God ). Pure marketing genius putting the Infiniti G35 Coupe on this game. That is mainly why I purchased this title. I was more than content with waiting on GT4 instead of buying these wanna-be street racer titles. People who drool over the customization features on this game have obviously never played any of the Tokyo Extreme titles. If you take the graphics of NFSU2 and combine the customizing and battle style racing of Tokyo Extreme Racer, and you would be on you way to an awesome [...] game. SUV's in a street racing game should be against the law. Thats all I'll say about that. Yes without a doubt NFSU2 made SRS look and play like Pole Position, but in my opinion the gameplay hasn't much improved over the first installment. Even with the addition of new game modes. The URL ( Underground Racing League ) is new to NFSU and provides more of a simulation feel by allowing you to take your modified beauty, and tear up a road-course type track. Again...gets boring real fast due to the half-ass-ness ( yes I made up a word ) of the tracks. Also you have the Street X ( which is also new ) in which you battle it out, and trade paint with AI in a short, twistie, tight, dirt and track course. Get the inside line, or see taillights. Nice addition, but ( you know what I'm gonna say ) IT GETS BORING !!! Thank the heavens for the light bulb that popped in the designers head who said " lets add a replay feature on this game ". Thats right folks...you now get to sit back and watch your creations in replay mode. However..no replay in 2 player mode. Whats up with that ?? I have not seen 1 bodykit, or set of rims that wasn't available in the first game, and whats with the hydraulics you cant hit the switches with ?? This game just lacks little things that refines a street racing game. For instance, regardless of how minute this is, no reverse lights when you're backing up. WHY THE HELL NOT ??? Just little things like that urk me about this game, plus the fact that I was...you guessed it...bored out of my mind by the 3rd day.

this game is awesome i love it it is so cool how u can take like such a dorky car and pimp it up. i took a average miata and made it a pimp mobile with neon, spinners, hydralics, nitros the works. along with my esclade there is 1 minor thing cant u add in like a viper or a corvette and 300 c charger u know but overall this game is the best racing game ever

i cant put into words how fun this game is gonna be they got 3000gts infinti g35's escalades u can't go wrong in this game u can have ur own style and im sorry notin is gonna come close to this game especially midnight club 3 dub all there games have sucked anyway and they are about as generic as it gets i have reserved a copy and u should too

this game is da bomb. it is cool! It is way better than the first but it is still as challenging as NFSU(need For Speed Underground #1) It is so cool! U should buy it!!! It is worth every penny for the ppl who like racing games if u have the first game this 1 is better. Most of the stuff from NFSU2 are from the first game.I am the best at the first game beacuse i beat it five times in 4 months. Also there is alot more of stuff like spining rims and vertical door kits(scissor doors) and cool hood that do amazing things! BUY IT! IT IS WORTH IT!

i think this game is quite good and can be very good fun
but it can get boring sometimes. There are lots of tracks to unlock and cars you can pimp your ride and put loud speakers
,nos,low bumpers and lots more.

this was a good game. I loved all the things you can do in this game. Lets start things with the GRAPHICS, they are excellent. The cars really stand out in this game because of the graphics. There is a wide variety of colors that are on the screen at the same time and it looks great. The buildings and environments are also a plus. They look spectacular.

Tha STORY is alright, not the best story I have heard from a racing game but its descent. U r like a guy and your friend has a job for you to take over the streets in racing. Well guess what you got no car, well your friend also ads that her friend has a car for you, not bad not bad. Well you take a plane and get to her. She has this sick car (by the way the girl is Brook Burke) she lets you ride it around the city while she shows you the shops around town. Then she takes her car back and says go pick up sumtin at the car shop, what a bummer. You have to pick from a crappy range of cars, but what do u expect, racing games never let you start off with a new car. Anyway i would pick the mazda mista (its red) it got me to the top.

Next is the CONTROLS. I know everybody needs the controls to be really good and they are pretty good. However the accellerate is the back button so it may feel wierd at first but you get used to it, its kind of better too because i always found my thumb hurting when i held the X button down as hard as i could to accelerate. Everything else is pretty much the sam with racing games so yeah.

I dont really feel like talkin much more so ill give you a good sum up:

GOOD POITNS:
- Brook Burke is in the game and you see her all the time!
- Tons and tons of car customizations, its really unbalievable how much there is in the game
- Graphics are really good and the environments are awesome
- The cars are real cars in real life so you can have your actual dream car, if its in there and customize it.
- Lots of different kinds of races so ur not just doing a circuit or sumthin. including the new downhill drift.
- The other opponents have nice cars and have there own way of customzation.
- great two player mode, but even better career mode
- great soudtrack or rock, rap, and R and B
- get to choose what races you want.
- car shops are made up of: Body shop, performance shop, graphics shop, specialties shop, garage, and car lot.
- You can get on cover magazines and take pictures of your car.
- did i mention brook burke is in the game, and shes really hot!

Bad Points:
- major bad thing with the game is that it is so god damn long and you get bored of doing the same races over and over again.
- There is never really a cut scene or story video. Only after you do like 50 races. I wanted to see some story cut scenes.
- It can get really hard when you get to like 40 percent completion and it takes so long just to get there. It took me like 2 weeks of playing it every day just to get to 40 percent completion.

I liked this game a lot and you should get it. I still think my favorite racing game is the midnight club series. I recommend getting all those first, then head over to the need for speeds. [...] TYhis has been another review by DARTH RAGE.

too much celebrity crap in this game. not enough good gameplay. if you want celebrities put someone like ron jeremy or lexington steele in the game to make it cool.
