Amazing, But Not Alot of Change

From what I've seen of the game, it looks great. Great graphics, gameplay, puzzles, everything you need for a platform game. Not to much has changed though. It plays alot like the first one. Of course its bigger and the graphics have improved incredebly.I loved the first one so in this case - ITS GOOD IT DIDNT CHANGE MUCH- becuse the first was so good. If you are like me and feel the same way then this game is for you. BUY THIS GAME!

KLONOA!

Do you remember that game from Namco called Klonoa that didden't sell well? I think that all of us who played it can aggree that that was an amazing game. But now, Namco is making a sequel to that game, with PS2 graphics, great sound, and tight controls. I've played this game, and it definetly deserves 5 out of 5.

although almost unknown to the public, klonoa was one of the best platformers on the PSone and klonoa 2 carries the torch. The overall feel, looks, controls, ect... of the game are great. just as in klonoa 1 you get to manipulate your enemies with a magic ring, but this time around there are allot more ways to take advantage of your enemies. the only drawback to klonoa 2 is that it is too short. some say it is too easy but that doesnt really take away from the experiance in a platformer. go out and get this game now!

This has to be the most fun game I ever played. Graphically it is incredible. The controls are simplistic and very easy to learn. I really enjoy that it stayed with its classic 2-D gameplay but in a 3-D environment. This game is simply breath-taking. All I have to say is buy it.

A must-have for your PS2!!!

I am writing a review for this game because I feel that it needs to get the attention that it deserves which the first game definitely did not get. First of all, the gameplay remains intact making it simple and perhaps a bit too easy for hardcore gamers, however it offers new features which keeps gameplay fun and replay value high. Graphics are astonishing and tight, with lush backgrounds and cel shaded characters, its just easy on the eyes. The game really shows what the PS2 is capable of doing. The only problem is that the game is quite short, regardless this game is a gem to be treasured by all. Please for all the haters out there, I am simply stating my opinion about the positive aspects of this game because no doubt it is one cool game. It is a must have for everyones PS2 library and no doubt you will enjoy this game too like everyone that played the first one and this sequel.

Don't let the cute characters fool you!!!

This is an incredible game. I picked up the original Klonoa from the PSX when it first came out and I was absolutely floored. You couldn't take this game away from me. Behind the cute characters, light-hearted music and colorful backgrounds, lies a serious, almost morbid story. The first one left me in awe when I finished it. NOT what I expected. I highly suggest you find the original Klonoa and play it through, look past the seemingly happy cover and finish it! ...

As for Klonoa 2, it's INCREDIBLE!!! Just as captivating as the first one (don't take the funky language and first few scenes as gospel til you get the whole story!) and so much fun to play. If you like platformers, welcome to one of the best ever made. The strategy seems so seemingly simple, it's almost surreal to play. There are quite a few secrets you can find, and the character designs are the absolute best. The colors are so vivid and beautiful, you can just sit there and admire the background. Wait til you check out the background of stage one, with huge waves crashing against the pillars on the island and tons of lighting effects. I cannot stress this enough, I LOVE this game! So go buy it now before it too, becomes a cult classic and rarity!

This game has great graffics amazing levels. I like the 2 player mode also. I love the hoverboard idea. I think it really withstands the power of PS2. It also takes on from Klonoa 1: Door to Phantolonie. I recemend getting this game adventure/platform game lovers.

i bought this game looking for sonic the hedgehog but what i saw was signs of him but not the whole thing dont get me wrong this is a good game, but not quite the dynasty sonic was for sega but i would say 4 stars and almost sonic but give it time it will be sonic if you want a real fun game that will will keep you busy you should think about this game.

First let me say this is a solid game. I think I had my hopes up pretty high since all the reviews I read were really strong. To be fair, it is a good game but people made it sound really original. "The best title no one bought" I figured. Well, let me tell you there is a reason to rent before you buy. The tone of the game is sickly sweet. Beyond anything I had ever seen -- although a solid rental Id probably hold back on a purchase unless you are a BIG platform fan. Play it first to test you intestinal fortitude. It is that sweet. I felt like a 6 year old.

Gameplay: Pretty solid, a lot like the recent gameboy advance mario (or the super nes title it was based on). Essentially you jump and pick up baddies to either use them or throw them. Not especially breakthrough but classic. There is also a little variety in some levels where you sort of ride a variety of things (those of you who played crash bandicoot have seen it done better).

graphics: No faulting the title graphically. It is spectacular. you will love the graphics. for my money it is a step ahead of rayman. I really liked the graphics - just superb.

sound: oh god. Think of the most sappy crappy aweful thing you can eat, now eat it. Now vomit it up. This is a close approximate to the music here. It is REALLY bad. frankly it destroys the game. It is BAD. which brings us to the next part...

Story: Equal to the music. I know it is a game and really who cares but it is notably bad. Few games have done such a bad job of making gameplay worthwhile. It is like the worst pokemon reject script ever (not in content but in quality). It would not be entertaining for a 4 yr old.

Control: I have to say this is another bright spot. They did a good job. The game is on rails which makes the camera work easier for a programer, but still overall quite good. Job really well done.

Overall the game is good but not any kind of breakthrough. People really seem to want to build this up as a hardcore platform game for those who want to avoid the rush to bigger name characters. Id have to say the game is more like a really solid platform game that will appeal to fans of this type of game. Those that can wait should definitely rent it first. It is not the next sonic or mario or crash.

When i first threw this game into the old ps2, i was like "what ever." but after i got my first glimpse of klonoa 2's decent graphics and mediocre gameplay, i was like "ok." Don't be frightened off by klonoa 2's colorful cover or it's friendly little main character, this game is totally average. call in to work and send the kids out for dinner, cause can't no one pry da boys away from this modern version of donkey kong with a twist of 007. rent this game!!!!!
