I just bought this and I must say that it was worth every penny of the 20 dollars spent. It is a great game that is simply a must for all horse lovers and racing fans alike! It had awesome graphics and was fairly easy, though appropriatley challenging to advance in. SIMPLY A MUST, GET IT!

No Comparison.

I bugged my dad since June 22nd, tha last day of school. I wanted this game. I read previous reveiws and thought the gamers must have been awfully pleased, so I had to have this game.
I got it. I thought the store was going to have loads of them 'cause nobody where I live is bezerk 'bout racing, but after I got mine, three left.
Previous reveiws told of how hard the game is? After you get the hang of it, it's really easy to make a lot of money. The only downside s that it's measured in meters.. I'm an American and therefore don't know the metric system for anything, but I figured it out.
The graphics are very realistic and the sounds make the game sound like you are ctually atop the horse and as the jockey or on the sidelines.
Definately not a newbie's game-before this, you may want to start with online games to understand how racing works, or you'll not get a fame rating of 3.

Game help and hints

at the start of this game chose stable manager then do not hire any staff or buy any horses. Build a clubhouse then you can board other peoples horses for money (this will build up your funds) once you have good enough funds you can start to buy horses and race them for money. Once this is done the game is a Lot more fun!!! (any more Questions or hints you need answers for e-mail me at girlhunter#220@yahoo.com)

THE BEST HORSE GAME I HAVE!!!

THIS IS THE BEST GAM EVER!!!!! It's a great game, only at the beggining, it's hard. You lose money really fast and rarely win races because you only have money for bad horses. But here's a tip: What I do is I buy the bad mares and breed them with good stallions--for free! I wish I could tell you how I do it, but it's WAY too hard to explain. Anyway, then I sell the mare, and even if you sell a pregnant mare, the foal comes to you when it's born. Then I wait for the foal to be one year old and then I sell it. I keep doing that untill I get lots of money. Then I buy some good horses that can race. I also breed them so I can race or sell the foals. I've been really succesfull lately! So currently, I have 120 million dollars ($120,000,000) I know, that's hard to believe, but it's tottaly true. ALL of my horses are REALLY succesful. They usually win the races they're in. Final Stretch is a great game! It may seem frustrationg at first, but after a while, when you get more and more money, It'll be great!!

GREAT GAME!!!!!!!!!!!

This is a wonderful game. Although I was dissapointed at the fact that the only graphics are in races. The graphics are good though. Also, it is ALMOST impossible to make money in the beginning. But there is a way: Go to the ball with the money in it. Click it, then click the upper option, then click loans. select the amount of money you want to borrow. But BEWARE, you have to pay back more than you borrowed. So this will only temporarily fix your problem. Another way to help is buy a horse,
than put speed training for 5 weeks, than give him (or her) 4 weeks of rest. Do this for about 1 game year. And please, do not give up on this game if it proves to be hard. This is a that needs to be figured out, because the manufacturer doesn't tell you what to do. Thats why this game is so cool, you actually get figure it out. DO NOT USE THE RACE AND BET MODE!! Both suck a lot! And, do not give this to a person under the age of 8, unless they have a huge IQ. Thank You!

This is a GREAT game, like many others I dream of owning my own stable and horses, well you can do that with this game! You can manage the horses feed routine, training, and vet appointments! I loved it! Also to answer other reviews, you DON'T have to race the horse yourself you can simulate the race so that the jockey does it for you, it is easier and better. Just click the Simulate all races button and it will come up with the ending results.

Love It!

I just bought it a few days ago, and I love it! I'm a big strategy game person, and in stable mode, that's almost all it is. I loved the race graphics, even if all the horses move the same way. I also enjoyed naming my own foals, even if it was before they were even born! I had a mare that I bred to a stallion named Kentucky, and I named the foal Kentucky's Kiss. (The mare had "Kiss" in her name.) I also enjoyed the way you had to build certain things to gain access to other buildings that help your stable grow and succeed. If you're a big person for graphics, Jockey mode is probably for you. You get to race a lot in that mode, so you see lots of graphics.

I had a few problems, however, in the races. Whenever I seemed to participate in the race, my horse was always "left in the dust" from the other horses, finishing last almost every time. I recently figured out how to train and get boarders in my barn. I also ran out of money quite quickly, but luckily found out how to take out a loan. I found the game very addictive, and enjoyed it very much! I hope this helped you! :)

Awesome Game

This game was a neat game to play, I first saw it at my friend's house and we played it together. I loved it right away! Even though this game seems like a single player game you can play it with your friend and pretend yall own your own stables. It is neat to have a calender of events, feeding routines, farrier check ups and such. Even though it seems like those other simulation horse games on the internet its not! Those games can cause bad things to be sent to your email address but having Final stretch makes it more fun to play a simulation game!!! I reccomend this game for any horse lover!

No Comparison-In Depth

Now, I reveiwed before. In fact, I wrote the 'No Comparison' in the spotlight to this game. I am still improving at this game, learning new things.. But now I think I have everything down and my horses hardly ever lose a race. I'll get into more detail with you all about my veiws.

MY RESULTS:
These are my results. After about five months, I have a fame of about 82, with about 40 million dollars and twenty horses; A full stable. No boarders, no nothing. Just racing money. Just 'racing instinct,' I say. Now... It's not like I was born to horses or anything, I just have 'skill.' This is because of practice in the race mode. I won big races; The Haskell three times, The Derby twice, Preakness thrice, Belmonttwice, Dubai Cup (6 mil in purse money; 3mil for first place) thrice, Random expensive Steeplechases, Santa Anita Derby and handicap twice.. The list goes on. I wish they had a ceremony if you won the American Triple Crown. You know how proud I'd be if Eastern Principle was in that ceremony or whatever? It's all skill. People who know more about racing will do better, I say. People who literally want to be included in the inside circle in real racing will probably perform well.

MY TIPS:
Get out a CD player and put in a CD with a really odd beat, you know. Like the beating of hooves. Put it on reapeat and make sure you like the song. Got that? Good. You'll just have to wait for my total guide to the game which I'll put on a site later on.
Okay. Now. Go to race mode, select 'easy.' I personally like the horse Doomer, with the jockey they suggested already. Also, I personally prefer short, flat races-Select what you please, Let's just take the America Cup for now. First race at Arlington, a mile. Simple, right? Look at your competition, decide your own odds. If you're on the far outside, I pity you. Now. Play the race.
Here's what most people mess up. Breaking from the gate. Push down the spacebar. See the little bar go to the right and go back? Get it as far right as you can. Adjust your speed to about 62 km/h, Set the jockey's attention on wind resistance. Break! See? You break nice and clean. Now the rest is a cinch. You should probably either set a low pace early on(Not too low! people will pass you) or stalk behind a leader. When you get to the turn in the stretch, swith to the red with the jockey's attention. As you're coming onto the stretch, kick on the afterburners and whip. Walah! Unless you chose a super-bad horse, You have yourself amongst the top ten at least.
If you do this with every race, You're sure to get better. In owner mode, Just pick the best jockey for your horse-Most fame or experience, I'd say. Let tem run on their own for a while. Figure out what they like. You'll improve drastically.

RAW FACTS:
Here you go. Here are the nasty facts.

-The makers? They can't spell 'gold' or 'derby.'
-Um.. Yeah.. I said English, not French. Why does it say 'chevaux' on the custom follow-up? x_x
-Why does my horse have socks in a race and no time else? -.o;;
-Adding 46 kilograms to a horse, are we? That's an awful lot, 'bout 115lbs.. Look! That's more than an average jockey weighs!
-Lads are better than trainers. Centers whoop both booties to the moon.

Those were the dirty facts..

-Owning a horse is cheaper than boarding one at a top-notch stable.
-When you watch a race like the Kentucky Derby, the horse will win. When you simulate, they'll probably lose.
-Breeding is easy. Just pick the most expensive stud.
-Your stallions do not get put to public stud.
-Nobody will ever want to play multiplayer at the same time as you.
-When they do, they have worse horses 9 out of 10 times.
-You can lose this game. But you can't win it.
-'Frilly Girl' will be a colt when it's born, I betcha.
-Your parents will love your gained knowlage of racing.

Those were the good facts. Hey. It comes with an MP3 player, too! Fun. Metrics? Ugh. Really. When you select 'American English' they should make it in the non-metrics. And someone, please get me a spellcheck.
I need a reality check. I need lots of things. I think this game sucked up hal my life. Too addicting, I tell you. Go buy it. Now.
