This game is sort of fun. You don't start out with alot of money. All the horses are worth alot of money. What I don't like about it is that you don't get to train your own horse, you only see the horse when you click on the horse button and in a race, It is also hard to race your own horse. I gotten broke 3 times in this game. It is sort of hard. But this game is okay.

Great Game!

This game is truly great for those who love horseracing. And it also provides a great challenge for those who don't know anything about horseracing to learn. Although the game is difficult at first if you keep at it you will be able to do very well. A word of advice: read the manual because Final Stretch has some unique ways of doing things. The first couple of times you will probably losing money, but it is virtually impossible to go bankrupt.

Great GAME!

Hard, but pleasing.

In the begining the game is hard to get going but after a bit it becomes really, really fun. I remeber the day I got it I has not happy with the fact that was so hard. However one day I came across this horse named Master Blue he Won 3,000,000. I bred him and ended up with a horse named Destiny (All the the Horses here I named exept for Master Blue) Destiny won 7,000,000 dollors. Destiny had a grand Daughter named Shouthern Star she Won 20,000,000. And right now I have a horse named Leader, Southern Star son he is only five but already he has won 10,000,000.

An OK game

I just picked up this game and found it fairly fun. It was easy to install on windows XP, which was a big plus in my book. The graphics are cool. Yet, I found it hard to win a race, though I may not know yet because I just got it.I don't think the euro style was that big a deal. Another thing about this game was that, as you come off the far turn and into the stretch, the game sometimes gets choppy. You can fix this by going to the main menu and making the resolution lower. Though the game was fun, I have found it a little hard to advance in it, though I would reccomend it too other horse lovers.

Fun, takes a while to figure out.

When I first played this game it really hard. One thing I did was wait for a while. About past 2007.Without spending money on cleaning. To do that get three or less buildings, and go to planning. You have free time and use three blocks which mean free time to lower cleaning costs. In this game the future sometimes has better deals on horses. I got a horse when he was a group III. He didn't have very good bloodlines. I trained him until he was one of the best internationals. He won me more than $2,ooo,ooo and is now retired but he still holds records. I am talking about stable mode. I suggest to start at easy mode on all of the modes.
I don't usually do betting mode. When on racing mode make sure the white and the color are about the same or the white is further than the color. DO NOT FALL BEHIND, if you fall behind it is sometimes hard to catch up with the pack. If your horse runs out of the color faster then the white try to get in front of another horse so you don't get last place.
This game takes a while to figure out. I hope this review helps you!

It is hard to earn money-literaly!

Tricks to getting international horses:
1. Buy 2 horses in national level , male and female, and of the same type.
2. Race them until you get them international level.
Want more than 2 int. racers? Breed them, train the foal, then race it until it is international level!

Pro's:
If you breed your international mare to a international stallion that isn't in your barn, you honestly get a champion foal! My champion mare was named Vive and she had a foal named Hawaii's Blue Print. He won about 20 straight steeplechase races in a row!!!

Con's:
Horses die WAY too young. I had a champion international mare that had many champion foals. She died too early!

When I first got this game it was so awesome! I couldn't stop playing it! But after about 6 months I had beat the game literally! All of my horses were in the one-hundreds and I had over 100 billion dollars! Also the races are way to hard. I finished the race once...in 8th place!!! still a very good game one of the best if you don't win it in 6 months.

Pretty Good

This game is pretty good although I never figured out how to do the jockey part. I favor the stable mode. It's not all that realistic but realistic enough. Although I agree that horses don't die so early because of natural causes. One of my horses is 30, the other 29, and my favorite died at 33 just in June.

A Fun yet Challenging Game

I got this game for Christmas from my Mom's friend. I think this is a great game. There are ways to accel at this game, and I've found a few of them. I've even unlocked a jockey for the multiplayer mode! I think this is a game worth buying for horse racing fans and horse lovers alike!

I don't know about you, but I seem to be just no good at this game. I enjoy it alot and it keeps you thinking. The first time I ever played it I was so exited. I got a horse named Faience Flingue (there is no way to change it) and she was ok. then I got a horse named Icy of Fortune. they weren't the best horses. the everything changed when i got Wind at a claiming race. He was realy good. I bred him to Icy, but before she had the foal, i went bankrupt. I am better at the racing part of the game. In the gallop races the best i've done is 3rd. the harness racing is really easy to win all you need to do is get out in front and stay there. I've probly won 5 times. My dad is better at this game than i am. first time playing it himself he got the most amazing horse. he wasn't very fast But he was super intlligent. his tecnigue was about 99. now that horse has won over 6 billion Dollars and he has 4 other Billion dollar horses. (my dad is really good at those type games) so ask some one who is an expert at games to give a whak at it

So over all this game was really fun.
