An imaginative and fun 3rd person action/adventure game

Pirates: the Legend of Black Kat is a third person gamer's dream come true. Playing as the beautiful Katarina De Leon while unearthing all manner of treasure and combating other pirates sounds like a simple matter, but in point of fact this is quite a long and involved game which will take you to several interesting and varied locales, all with their own personalities and dangers. There is a legion of quests for you to complete, and each one seems to make the game more interesting. The ship-to-ship combat is a real treat, with a brilliant camera system and a great variety of weapons to sink that enemy galleon. The control is a snap. The graphics are probably not what you would expect from the Xbox, but still look stunning. Great music, and a gallery of concept art from the game's development. If you like adventure games, you can't go wrong here.

I PLAYED THIS GAME ON TURBO GRAFIX 16, THE JAPANESE VERISON WAS LIKE A WALK IN THE PARK ON A GLOOMY DAY. THIS GAME ROCKS, ITS LIKE PLAYING WITH A LITTLE PUPPY FOR HOURS. THIS GAME IS THE REASON WHY I BOUGHT XBOX...GAMECUBE IS FOR THE WEAK AND WEAKMINDED...THIS WILL BE XBOX'S ZELDA...IF YOUR DONT BUY THIS GAME THEN YOU SHOULD RETURN YOUR XBOX AND ASK OR FORGIVENESS.....THIS IS OUR TIME..OUR TIME DOWN HERE..IT IS TIME TO MOCK THOSE WHO FEEL I AM WRONG FOR GIVING THIS 5 STARS..ITS CLEAR THAT YOU ARE NOT A VIDEO JUNKIE AS I...I KNOW THIS GAME WILL KNOCK THE SOCKS OFF WHOM EVER THAT PLAYS IT...FOR I AM THE SUN GOD AND THIS GAME IS MY LIGHT

tired of the same first person shooting blood and gore this game is a pretty cool alternative theres still fighting but its more like a sinbad movie and id say the whole family male or female could enjoy it i love the games graphics and story as a female pirate u travel to new islands defeating giant crabs skeltons ghosts etc and opening up new quests part of the fun is sea battles were u can shoot it out with other pirate ships and take thier loot this game has a feel and charm many others have yet to capture and its the best pirate game ive seen

This game is sooooo much fun. Kat's moves are very basic so you don't have to spend a ton of time learning annoying combos in order to hurt enemies. The lands you travel to are all very different and I thought they improved as they went on, even the details such as whales in the sea and frogs on land were amazing!!This game is challenging in the sense that you constantly have things to do so your searching for like 4 different things at a time but it isn't soooo challenging that you will get frustrated and give up! Great graphics and storyline are also a definite bonus!!!

this game doesent sound that cool but i might be proved wrong (probaly will) but the part i thought was cool about it is you battle with a sword and sail ships so we all will see how good this game is when it comes out!

This has got to be every pirate-sailor's dream! The impressive grafics are only matched by the lay-out & game plan. The multi-quest adventure allows one to seek options, while challenging them to truly "prove themselves". I'm not sure who has enjoyed it more....myself or my wife! (She insists that SHE's "Kat")!

My favorite Xbox game- I hope there's a sequel!

I love this game! The story was fun, the graphics are great, the action is exciting. I like having to figure out where hidden treasure is. You are sent on several quests, which were also very fun. Sometimes the Bosses are difficult to defeat- but it makes it all the more sweet when you do finally vanquish them. I know this game is 2 years old now. I hope, hope, hope they come out with a sequel. I am sending snail mail to the company begging them to release one, because this game was my favorite. In any sequel, I would like to be able to climb up the sides of hills easier. That was really my only problem with the game, that sometimes it looked like you could climb, but it wasn't possible. But that is a very MINOR complaint. Yes, the game is linear, but it is very satisfying and fun. I highly recommend it!!! Great game.

Not a remake of the great original, but still great

This game has good 3rd person graphics, but the shipboard graphics are outstanding. The combat is fluid. The enemies have plenty of surprises, become smarter, & use better tactics as you go along. There are lots of cool inventory items with great special effects. There's plenty of hours worth of exploration and play.

This game is perfect. It had incredible graffics,a strong storyline was absolutely as stable as they come(doesnt crash) and great gameplay.It took no time at all to get into it. The controls were easy as pie.
This game is far and away better than the pirates of the carribean in every aspect.
