A real treat for an ER fan!

What a great idea for a game. I love the show and this really puts you in the ER. The layout of the hospital is just like on the show and they use the real stars' voices which are excellent by the way! It's not bloody or violent so it's definitely okay for my kids, although the controls might be a little difficult for some. I was thinking that the action was going to be more like the show, but my husband who doesn't watch ER liked it also.
Overall, a fun way to get a glimpse of the crazy hectic life of an intern!!

Enjoyable game, but...

I really liked this game...let me start by saying that. I really did. However, two things bothered me greatly. First off, it is very clunky to play. I have a pretty darn good computer and this game would seize up often. Many reboots were needed to complete the game.

My second complaint is that it was VERY short. I normally take a bit of time to complete a game, I finished this in around a week. I was stunned that it was over and thought that it may lead to a more advanced scenario, but nope.

All in all, it was fun, but not worth what I paid due to the shortness of the game and the clunky interface.

Average game

If your a fan of ER this game puts you into the ER as an intern making life and death decisions. Overall the game is pretty short and the interface at times can be annoying to use.

very disappointing

I have been a buyer of Legacy Interactive games since they starting producing them, and I have bought all their medical type games plus also their vet related games. In their medical type games you pick up instruments and treat patients, plus of course interact with them by talking to them. Their games take about 3-4 cds which shows how much they encompass. When I heard about this new game I was very anxious to get it since I knew what excellent quality and how addicting the other medical games are. I was very disappointed to see only one cd, and playing it is nothing like the other games. You do not pick up instruments nor any of the treatment measures like the other games- you basically wave your hands over the person. In reality the game reminds me of the SIMS.

Great Game!!!!!!!!!!

This game is very addicting and fun. Even though you don't get to pick up and use the medical instruments, it is still fun. If you like the show ER you will love this game! If you don't watch the show you will still like it.

Eh...

There wasn't really much to this game, and you would think that struggling to get it to work in the first place would have turned me off completely, but for some inexplicable reason, I was addicted to this game for days.

The other reviewers were right on - it's basically a point and click game, and pretty brainless. The only challenge is managing your time, but once you play for a while, that becomes easy too. I can't put my finger on exactly what made me play this game all the way through - which ended up not being very long. The end of the game seemed to come out of nowhere, and it left me feeling totally unsatisfied.

One reviewer said it's more closely related to The Sims than games like Emergency Room. I guess that's true, but if you are looking for a Sims-like game, this isn't it. Your interaction with other characters has absolutely no bearing on the gameplay, and it's almost impossible to find time to socialize if you actually care about carrying out your assigned tasks.

There are far better sim-like games out there and far FAR better medically-related ones, so unless you are getting a phenomenal deal, you can avoid this one.

This game would be fun...if it didnt crash all the time

Don't bother...I was enjoying this game until I received a "game startup failed" message, tech support was not much help and suggested I reinstall. NO WAY...I'm not playing the game over again just to get to the spot I crashed at! Its not THAT fun.
I'm very disappointed with support and the game and with a little research online, you'll easily find out why. Scores of people have commented on bulletins that this game is full of bugs. Save yourself the time and money.

Entertaining for only a brief time

As a huge fan of the television show ER and these types of simulation games in general, I was really excited about this game. I was rather disappointed after playing it for awhile. It is very easy to win and way too short. I had beaten the game after several hours, and it wasn't much fun to redo. It isn't worth the money.

Stupid, pointless game

This is not a fun game to play. You basically just run around a hospital doing random boring tasks. Also, don't be fooled by it being called "ER" and being made by Legacy... YOU DON'T DO ANY MEDICAL PROCEDURES AT ALL; there is nothing scientific about the game. Well, at least in the first few levels; I uninstalled it after that.
If you are a huge ER fan and aren't interested in the medical aspect of the show somehow, then perhaps you might want to buy it. Otherwise, don't waste your time or money.

Tons of fun!

This game is a blast, and a must-have for fans of the show! If you think it's fun watching the drama unfolding around your favorite ER characters, wait until you put yourself right beside them and get right into the middle of the action! You'll see crazy "CIA" agents, escaped mental patients, and roving reporters - and that's just the first three "days"! Just to warn you - this game is rather addictive! You'll want to play all day!

I will mention that the graphics aren't 100% - sometimes my doctor will walk through furniture. All in all, this doesn't hinder game play in any way.
