just a great game in the COD tradition. i was watching a friend play this game on the 360 with an lcd tv drooling, and thought what will the old xbox version look like on my old crt tv. boy, was i pleasantly surprised. the xbox version is great. graphics are wonderful, just as many reviews have said. play is engrossing. dont give up your old xbox until you play this game. pushes the xbox to its limits and those limits are really good. a definite buy for COD fans. i should say too that i was originally looking for COD3 on the pc, but there wont be a pc version. so i bought it for the xbox, and im not disappointed.

This game is awesome, the best graphic from a war game until now, for a old generation console. the effects of explosion and grenade smokes are well done and the details of the weapons and soldier just near perfection. Maybe remember me the version of the pc with frenetic action and great sound.

buy this game you dont regret. i swear!!!

This game is pushing the old Xbox to it's limits.I thought it was a waste of money but when I realized I was not getting a PS3 soon.I just bought it.It was unfreakin beleavable! This has almost Xbox 360 graphics. As always the gamplay has been improved. Thanks EA,you rock!I play Xbox Live so it is as good as HALO 2 online. If u have live on Halo 2,u know what I am talking about. This is awsoeme. Please consider this game for Xbox, not PS2!That sucks.Your Xbox has a lot of power in it.Game devlopers need to just use it.Again,EA you own everyone.Peace!

An Incredible Game

This game is a must have for those of you who still are clinging to their Xbox at the twilight of it's life cycle. Treyarch and Activision have demonstrated their ability to create engaging gameplay, and show their technical know-how with amazing graphics. However, the single-player game is very easy on normal. It takes more than you would think to die, and your health automatically replenishes. Actually, there isn't even a health meter. Nazis die easily, and you can plow through a level in know time. The levels, on a sidenote, are very linear, however very amazing.

Oh, and Xbox Live is incredible as well...when it works. For some reason, it's very hard to connect to a server, because it says "game no longer available" for 9 of the 10 times i try to connect (this is on servers with player slots leftover). However, once you get connected (it takes patience, but eventually it works) it's usually worth the pain. There are several different modes of play that are all fun and easy to learn. Dying doesn't take much, which is a mixed bag for some people (i think it's good, its more realistic and the upper hand player should win the battle) and the vehicles...man, their fun. And the framerate online remains very steady, i have a 384 kbps in/out connection and runs very smoothly.

thats what i have to say for this game. Although getting into an online match is tough, it's still worth 50 dollars because the game is SO DARN FUN.

Make a PC version and I'll think about it...

Call of Duty started on the PC and there's no PC version of CoD3? What's up with that, Activision? I know it's common to put out an FPS game on consoles, but let's face it, FPS games suck with those teeny controller joysticks.

Put it out on the PC where you can REALLY play it and I'll considering coughing up the cash for it.

Wow, Call of Duty delivers again

Ahh...the feeling of opening a new Call of Duty game. Expectations? Of course. But first, the things I noticed immeadiatly: No health bar (does it refill?) One giant leap in graphics over COD: BR1
DIFFERENT CONTROLS! (this drove me crazy at first) and finally, better over all WAR feel.

Okay...

On to the praise, and slight critisicm---

Pros
+ Beautiful Graphics
+ Awesome World War II experience
+ Improved & new weapon models
+ Multiplayer anyone?
+ Different forces (british, american, etc.)

Cons
- No health bar

So, Doctor, my diagnosis? BUY IT!

Only problem, ther shud be co-op mode on COD but it don't matter. If u stil hav an Xbox and watin for a 360, get this game. itz worth the wait.

I rented this game recently and after the experience I plan on buying it. I've always wanted a long-lasting game that i could wear out--much like my disc of Halo 2. I think that I finally found it.

I beat approximately half of the campaign mode...and well, here is some of what I liked: felt similar to H2 in the way health works, good graphics and sound, the amount of war action on the screen and the way you can charge into battle blindly because of all the smoke, fire, and debris, etc. My biggest complaints are that (on Normal) grenades rarely killed me, my buddies appear to be invincible, grenades are hard to throw accurately.

But where I was really impressed was online. The only annoying thing was how they switched around the button layout. Why do game developers do that? Nonetheless, I love the dynamic and it reminded me of Black Hawk Down. You choose from several kits--medic, scout, rifleman, light/heavy assault, etc.

I was excited to see the Medic, because it was so cool from BHD. But in this game, you get a shotgun instead of a light machine gun, which renders him fairly useless. It also takes some time to revive people (like 2 seconds), which is just enough for a sniper to tap you.

I had the most fun with the scout. He has a scoped weapon for sniping (which is what I enjoy)...but best of all, he can call in Air Strikes. I have never seen this in a game before, but it was awesome. Nothing's cooler than last night when I got like 4 kills off an "air strike" (really its artillery fire)--which also took out an enemy tank. You just look thru some binoculars, mark you target, and in about 2 seconds watch the fireworks.

I got this game for my boyfriend. He really likes the graphics and how realistic it looks. The only thing about it is that sometimes its way to hard and there's to many guys coming at you at once you almost need a second player to help you. Overall its a good game.

Great Game !!!

As I have played all three of the CODs this is by far the best one yet. The graphics are awesome, and the levels challenge you more than some of the other wargames out there. I finished the game in 8 hours and was left only wanting more! Hopefully they will answer with COD 4 soon, and hopefully it will only get better. Until then I will be playing COD 3 over and over again.
