A Great Game

This is a great game and very realistic. You feel like you are really riding a jetski and you can almost feel the water too. There is a lot of variety and it is so much fun to jump over the ramps and try all the expert moves. I like being able to practice in Dolphin park before racing. Sometimes, though, I wish there weren't so many bouys you have to race around.

A great game for anyone who enjoys racing!

Almost everything about this game is perfect. My favorite part in the game is the warm up mode, where tou can jump ramps and perfom a ton of cool tricks, like handstands, barrel rolls, and backwards flips. The championship circuit is also fun. During this mode, you compete against other racers, earning points to go on to the next round. The only minor problem is the lack of variety on each course. All the tracks look pretty much the same. Still, this game is worth buying, and is definitely a step ahead of racing games like Crusin' USA.

In my opinion Wave Race64 was not a very fun game.The objective is to race a jet ski in an arena and place between 1-3 to continue to the next round.In the game there is a time race,a stunt mode,championship mode,and warm up.Yes it sounds like an alright game but you can be the judge about that.I gave it 2 stars because of good graphics.

Not so good for youngsters

I bought this for my 5 year old (who usually plays older games) but he played it a few times then got bored with it. He regularly rotates through his other games, so this is an exception. This might be a challenge for somebody older, but I wouldn't recommend it for a younger kid.

I've emailed the seller twice now - still no response. The wrong order was delivered to me. The intended recipient's name and address is on the packing slip inside the package. I can understand a mix-up, but why not rectify the situation once it was brought to their attention. Still waiting for a response!

I have played and watched this game for over a year and it has always been dull and boring. It is the worst race game I have ever played. It is only 2 players and their is no action. The only reason I would buy this game would be to look at the graphics, but otherwise, it's bad.

Wave Race takes you to another, fun world.

With four characters to choose from, you can get your race on! I've felt very strongly for a couple of the Nintendo 64 racing games and they are as follows:

Snowboard Kids 2
Mario Kart 64
Wave Race 64

They're all really fun and even though you don't get items to use against your foes in this game, just plain racing can get quite competitive. Most of the people that I knew weren't into this game but it was OK because racing against the computers had never been more fun!

If you still have a Nintendo 64 or just got one, I highly recommend this game as well as the ones above. And if you have a Nintendo GameCube, I'd recommend Wave Race: Blue Storm. It's almost as fun as this game.

When I first played this game before I had an N64, I thought is was hard to control (just like Jet Motto.)Then when I recently bought it, it totaly rocked! The graphics are colorful and realistic ant the races are ok. The problem with the races is that you have to menuver through a bunch of stupid obsticles in order to power up. Also, if you miss 5 obsticles, you retire from the race and get 0 pts. The game also could have used some more practice courses, ramps, and most of all, more TRICKS!A better challenge would be nice too. But all in all, this was a cool game. I was pretty impressed.

For a game that was released in '96, those graphics are pretty [darn] good. The physics are real, and the control is tight, making it feel like you're actually racing a jet ski. Best race of all-time, until it's sequel comes out on the Dolphin system.
