This game is good for people who are obsessed with 3D, and never played a Castlevaina game in their life. If you want REAL fun, at least rent a Playstation or Playstation2 (it can play PS1 games), and try out Castlevanai: Symphony of the Night. It may not be 3D, but it's HUGE. There are tons and tons of weapons, armor, head gear, accesories, spells, etc. to try out, plus cool a** bosses to fight, and two different castles! That game is also challenging! But try this game for one reason, and one reason only. Because if yoyu don't you'll just become curious. After all, this is just my opinion.

As I started out through the 3D world I was a little excited about finally starting another Castlevania adventure that I haven't had since I played the NES. Well after a few hours of playing I can say this did not at all hold up to my expectations. Immediately I grew frustrated trying to jump from one small ledge to another so early in the game. Then I moved on to disappointment when it became clear that I would be seeing the same creatures the whole game, and finally I just got bored of the game and stopped only on level 5. I could've kept going but it lacked storyline and imagination. Just got tired fighting the same dead skeletons and not knowing why I was doing it.
Best castlevania game I have ever played.

Out of all the castlevania games I have played, none have ever been a match for this game, The graphics may not be the highest of quality, but the story line for both characters is riviting. The last battle is awesome as is the game itself. A must buy and a game I hope they do a remake of for the ds or wii's online buying system.

Castlevania is a very cool game which pretty much involves wiping the un-dead with a whip. You can choose between two characters each with slightly different abilities, either way, they do the same amount of damage. Although it is slightly frighning at first (only if you get scared really easily) you get used to enimies poping out and the creepy environment, which really loses its effect if you have played games on the GCN or PS2, because the graphics on this game are really bad compared to the more advanced systems. Anyhoo, the game is really fun, but the layout pretty much stays the same, as well the puzzles. Sometimes it can be a little frusturatuing at times, but all in all it is a very fun game. If your looking for something to do, or just a simple little challenge, pick this one up. I dont reccomend it for kids under ten, cuz it is based on dracula after all, and it does have little evil minions of hell as enimies, but thats just my opinion, thatnks for listing!

Interesting game at first with lots of enemies to fight but the later levels revolve mostly around making difficult jumps. Would not reccomend.

Castlevania is awsome! You can kill vampires. There's different levels and story lines between Carrie and Reinhardt.
It's kind of hard to get the magic nitro down to the room with the dead giant bull with out getting blown up. You can only beat Dracula on Normal. On easy you can't play past the 5th level. If you are interested in vampire killing this game's for you Man!
Castlevania 64 is another great effort from Konami.

I was really eager to see this installment in the Castlevania series. Mainly because of it's venture into 3-D. Well, I can honestly say I was pleasantly surprised. They were able to pull off a pretty decent game and that, in itself, makes it another great effort from Konami. It really reminded me alot of the older Castlevania games, yet in 3-D. Despite others mixed feelings on the game, I really enjoyed it. My only gripe, however, is that it was hard and frustrating at times with its' platform areas in levels. Once I made it pass those parts, it was great. One, in my opinion, that was worthy of my hard earned dollar. Although I love the 2-D Castlevania games a great deal, I do hope they make another game like this one in the future.
Castelvania 64 is a good game but dont expect a SOTN sequel!

Castelvania is like a Mario clone so you Castelvania freeks expect to be transported to a not familiar Catelvania scenario! The Castelvania game for the N64 is a good game but after you learn to control the characters is a little easy! The sound is greats and the graphics too but it simply doesnt compare too Symphony of the Night on the Playstation. Overal I do recomend it if you are a hardcore Catelvania Fan like me.
The best Castlevania games ever!

This is way better than the NES Castlvania! The graphics are pretty good. In the games, I choose Carrie over Reinhardt. I think magic is easier to work with than the whip. Although Reinhardt is pretty good.
