If you're looking for a game with great control, Graphics, and lots of fun this the game for you. This game is so realistic from the way they get beaned to the way they hit a homerun. A great game.
The game is great and is a must have for baseball fans.

The announcing, the fields, the whole game is great. You can create players, make trades, anything you want. It is a great game especially during those months between the World Series and Spring Training.
DEFNITELY worth buying.

Although ASB 2000 has better graphics in comparison to ASB99, but when I gave ASB 2000 a try, the difficulty was a lot harder, even on rookie. The AI won with a score to 6-0 and the only thing I ended up with was a few singles. That was it. When I bought ASB 99 when they first released it, I was astonished by the gameplay. I've played other baseball games and the end result was complete frustration. This game has VERY smooth gameplay. And also not to mention that the controls aren't that hard to learn and within a short time, I had the controls memorized without any problem. Although it may be 2 years behind (Compared to ASB 2001), I consider it a classic and is DEFINITELY worth the money.
Game With Glitches, Buyer Beware!

N64 is becoming a thing of the past. ASB 99 is a good example of why Nintendo needed to produce The"Cube"(besides Sony and Sega coming out with a 128 Bit System). I was real impressed when I first bought the game shortly after its release. ASB 99 has a trading feature. I find that to be a great extra. But the one thing that really impressed me the most was the option to do a fanatsy draft. Stats! I was impressed on the way stats are kept all season. They even show All-Star vote standings through out the 1st half of the season. The graphics are satisfactory. I guess the Dreamcast I own has spoiled it for the N64. But for a 64 Bit system, they are good. I only gave this three stars for a few reasons. First, the controls are a bit sluggish. Ball movement around the field could be a little more quicker. The outfielder controls are a little weak as well. When you push the button to dive, the player has a slight hesitation before moving. Batting is a joke. 40 to 0 is not unusual. Once you have figured out the secret( no code needed), it becomes too easy. But the main reason I gave it 3 stars is because once I finished the All-Star Game, the game froze up. When I turned the N64 off to restart the game, all of the seasons stats to that point were changed. I thought I forgot to save from the previous game, so I started a new season. This time I was sure I saved before the All-Star Game and again the game froze up and screwed up the stats. So I have never completed a season. I have known several people that have had the same problem. So if a half season is all you want, then this is your game. Too bad since they put the best MLB player on the cover( Well, I at least I think so!)
An awesome game worth buying

When you hit the ball to the left outfield and the outfielder doesn't catch the ball it's a homer for you. the outfielder will stop and let you calmly circle the bases!
Cool, but has Practicality Errors

This game is awesome, don't get me wrong. But,it is nearly impossible to hit the ball, and the outfield seems to be able to make the most unbelievable catches. We all know that it is impossible to make a perfect game, and this comes prrety close.
Might be better than All star 2000

THis Game is basically like evry other but is poorly designed especially when batting they design it in a way where when you are batting it is also impossible to hit the ball. besides that the graphics aren't too good. if you want to buy a baseball game choose something else
