when ordering my products i was in the PS2 only section,i thought the game was for a PS2, it's not it's for a PSP. I honestly can't rate it or give an opinion untill i have played it.

Excellent game, i love the tekken series and this one works out very well with many options to play, either wireless or alone but its always better to defeat people :)
The game has practice modes where you can do just do, practice before playing for real and ranking yourself, wish it had all the moves in that section though because you end up going online looking for all the other moves for the character you are playing at gamefaqs or any other place.
Pretty Decent for What it is

Very awesome graphics in this game, decent game play. My only problem is that I got bored with it after awhile and some of those special moves are incredibly difficult to pull off when you have one of the characters coming at you with full force. Over all, decent for kids - kinda dull for adults.

Very challenging and creative game with many options for various moves and attacks. The only thing I would change would be to add more blood and guts.
Great, but...

Yes, this is a good game for the PSP and I will not repeat all the good things that have been described in the previous reviews. However, this is not a perfect game and some issues remain:
The first one is inherent to the PSP joystick, it is very difficult on a PSP to do a diagonal. And Diagonals are very important in Tekken: you have moves that include diagonals and often you cannot do them; the timing to press 2 buttons at the same time is very, very difficult to get and it seems more often than not that it is just luck.
The second issue is related to on-line tournaments: you can register for a tournament only if you were able to perform 10 move combinations, and guess what? These combinations include diagonales... So far I was not able to compete against others and this is saaaad...
GREAT!!

What can be said here, Tekken.
It is nice to see a major fighting series hit the PSP. I enjoy DOA and most of the other series but this one is good. It hits the spot when on the go or going from place to place. The same characters, the new customizable features. The 'movie theatre'.
Great Fighting game for the Sony PSP!

This is a near exact port of Tekken 5 for the PS2. It's fun, it's entertaining, and it's easy to pick up anywhere. There are a few draw-backs, though.
The story-mode is the exact same thing as Tekken 5, with the addition of the new characters. If you've completed the story for a character on 5 for the PS2, you'll have to re-hear the whole thing. Which just isn't that much fun.
They also dumbed-down the final boss. In 5, it took me about ten minutes to get the hang of how to kill him, an in the mean-time, I had lost twice. In this game, if you lose to Jinpatchi, I don't know what to say to you. He's horribly under-powered, and hardly worth everything you've gone through to get to him.
The "Ad-Hoc" mode is fun. But the wait times are NOT. My brother owns a PSP as well, and he does not have this game. We decided to test how well we could play against each other, so I "sent" the game to him via "Ad-Hoc" and waited. And waited. And waited. We were sitting less than two feet away from each other, and it took five minutes to get one match going. After I'd beaten him he wanted another match, and so we had to wait another five minutes for it to transfer.
The customization in Dark Resurrection is fun. Every character has new hats/accessories/auras and colors that they can use. There are also multiple costumes for each character, though I haven't unlocked them yet. The arcade mode is a little repetitive, though fun if you're just looking to button-mash for no reason.
Easy to beat, but well worth the money, Dark Resurrection is for any Tekken fan.
Namco does it again!

This was great game, i was expecting it to be not to half as good as Tekken 5. But I was pleasantly surpised by all the new features and characters that were added, Namco has outdone themselves this time. Also the game has great replayability.
