Hideo Kojima shoots another one out the whazoo, better than ever. This time Snake wakes up in a South American prison with Campbell(Snake's first partner) in the next cell.I dunno if he's the real Mccoy, though.Snake learns of FOXHOUND*'s betrayal, and goes on a campaign to stop em'.Go through the prison, comm base, supply depot,Soviet patrol base, hospital,& more, recruiting as you do so. The similarities between this and MGS3 are amazing(in a good way).DEFINITELY worth 40 big 1's.Buy it n' have fun!
*Snake's former group.
Another great addition to the MGS saga

This game follows on the heels of MGS3: Snake Eater, and adds on to that story in some ways. I never got very far in Snake Eater, but this game refers back to many of the events I do know about, namely The Boss and the introduction of Revolver Ocelot. The graphics are near what MGS2 was, and though the camera was a lil cumbersome at times, it was a minor flaw. The greatest change in this game was the ability to capture & recruit enemies to fight on your side. This is essential in the game, as it's much easier to use double agents to move around in the open in many parts rather than having to carefully sneak everywhere. There are soldiers with different abilities and a particular focus that keep the gameplay much more interesting. For example, the "Scout" skill enables a soldier to sneak at a faster rate, and the "Rescuer" can carry bodies away faster and medical items have a greater effect when used.
All in all, this was an excellent game, and recieved the "Editor's Choice" award from [...]. I think it was well-deserved. A must-buy for fans of the series and the genre.
If you are a mgs fan, you must play this!!

This game has it all. Everything that you could want about a MGS in a portable is here at last. It does a good job continuing the story from snake eater. Must have for the PSP.

It's worth the buy. It's difficult to get used to the PSP controls vs the ps console hand helds, but otherwise it's worth the money and is entertaining.

MGS PO is an amazing game,i wouldn't expect anything less from a Metal Gear Solid Game, the plot is awesome, the game play is great(its the same),The graphics are stunning for a hand held game,I had high expectations for this game and they were met, unlike with metal gear acid.

Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops is one of the top games for the psp, and there is a good reason for that. Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops has basically the same gameplay as Metal Gear Solid 2, but in a portable sense. You can control a league of somewhere around 300 soldiers with sneaking units, spy units that provide better map details, and medical and technical units that increase the equipment selection available to your teams. The storyline continues from Snake Eater, and gives you a good idea of the events leading up to Outer Heaven and Metal Gear Rex. If you like Metal Gear, then you'll like this game.
It's effing brilliant!

The game starts off relatively quick, that is by MGS standards, you're Big Boss aka Naked Snake and you have just been captured by a rogue special ops group known as "FOX." Your main objective in the game is to take down whoever started the insurrection to clear your name. The control scheme of the game will take some time to get used to, but that and the some camera issues are the only obstacles in the game. What's going for it, the garphics (for a PSP game), voice acting, and story are all top notch.
Although not the best game in the series, it is certainly a must own for all PSP owners.
Superb!!
